Nevada at Penn State.
Line: Penn State by 43.5.

Saturday, 3:30 p.m.

We are going to open this college football season with five huge favorites going up against 1-AA or mid-major schools in what appear to be colossal mismatches. Penn State should obliterte Nevada. The Wolfpack had one of the worst offenses in 1-A last year, so I have no idea how they’re going to score anything on Penn State’s elite defense. The Nittany Lions also have an explosive offense, so they could have this spread covered by halftime.

DraftKings has a no-sweat bet for up to $30.

Illinois State at Oklahoma.
Line: Oklahoma by 35.5.

Saturday, 6:00 p.m.

It seems like people are giving Illinois State a chance to keep this game close, but I don’t see it. Illinois State just doesn’t have the offensive talent to score on Oklahoma’s elite defense. We saw Illinois State lose 40-0 to Iowa last year, and this is Oklahoma; not Iowa.

College Football Pick: Oklahoma -35.5 (2 Units) – ESPNBet

North Dakota at Kansas State.
Line: Kansas State by 25.5.

Saturday, 7:00 p.m.

It should come as no surprise that we’re going to keep rolling with the Buckeyes. They’re the best team in college football this year. This number may seem high, but I don’t know if it’s high enough. Notre Dame is lucky that Penn State threw away last week’s game, and that Georgia didn’t have its starting quarterback in the second round. Ohio State destroyed Oregon, a team that is better than Notre Dame.

FanDuel has a 50-percent profit boost up to $25.

Missouri State at USC.
Line: USC by 35.5.

Saturday, 7:30 p.m.

Missouri State went 8-4 last year, but two of the previous three times they played 1-A schools, they lost to Northern Illinois, 38-14, and to Kansas, 48-17. USC is obviously far better than Northern Illinois and Kansas. The Trojans have obtained loads of talent heading into 2025, so they figure to showcase that talent against this poor opponent.

Colorado State at Washington.
Line: Washington by 21.5.

Saturday, 11:00 p.m.

Colorado State has an awful defense that is especially poor in the secondary. Washington has a talented receiver corps that will be able to exploit the Rams’ weaknesses. Washington’s defense is also great and should limit Colorado State’s offense.

BetMGM has a 20-percent profit boost up to $10.

Washington -21.5 +109 (0.1 Units) – BetMGM

Notre Dame at Miami.
Line: Notre Dame by 2.5.

Sunday, 7:30 p.m.

Week 1 was a disaster, thanks in part to a back-door cover in the Penn State game in the final minute, but the teams I picked were disappointing. We’re adding Notre Dame tonight. This is not a chase, but rather an opportunity because DraftKings is offering a 50-percent boost on the game. Notre Dame -2.5 looks like the right side to me, and we can get +130 vig on this with this boost.
