This page lists all the 2025 NFL Signings for the Seattle Seahawks. I’ve listed all of the NFL Free Agent Signing Grades here, which included the Signings. Because I’ve begun posting polls for the Signings, I thought it would make sense to list just the NFL Signings here, so archiving the voting would be easier.

April 2025 – Signings
Seahawks sign QB Drew Lock (2 years, $5 million): B Grade
signed on 4/11/2025
The Seahawks signed Sam Darnold to a $100 million contract this offseason, but they needed to add another quarterback for depth purposes. Their backup was Slingin’ Sammy Howell, so this was an area in which they could improve.
I’m not sure if Drew Lock is an improvement, but he at least adds competition and experience to the quarterback room. Lock was tremendous versus the Colts last year, but was dreadful in his other starts. He doesn’t provide much, but he was with the Seahawks earlier in his career, and he’s also very cheap. He’ll have a chance to beat Howell for the No. 2 job, so this is a fine signing.

March 2025 – Signings
Seahawks sign WR Cooper Kupp (3 years, $45 million): MILLEN Grade
signed on 3/14/2025
Wow, this is embarrassing. The Seahawks have a great front office, but this is a huge misstep. I’m absolutely shocked that Cooper Kupp received anything close to $15 million per season on this ridiculous 3-year deal.
I imagine the Seahawks didn’t watch Kupp closely last year because he was completely washed. He struggled to produce anything in the second half of the year. He eventually saw a big reduction in playing time, taking part in just 29 of the 56 snaps against the Vikings. Kupp, now 32, doesn’t appear to have anything left in the tank, so I thought a 1-year deal worth about $3 million would have been appropriate for him. Instead, the Seahawks gave him this mammoth contract because they were desperate at receiver.
