This page lists all the 2025 NFL Signings for the Tennessee Titans. I’ve listed all of the NFL Free Agent Signing Grades here, which included the Signings. Because I’ve begun posting polls for the Signings, I thought it would make sense to list just the NFL Signings here, so archiving the voting would be easier.

April 2025 – Signings
Titans sign WR Tyler Lockett (1 year, $4 million): A Grade
signed on 4/24/2025
This is a surprise. Given that Tyler Lockett is 32, I expected him to sign with a Super Bowl contender that needed a third receiver. Instead, he’ll be playing for the team with the No. 1 draft pick.
Despite this, I really like this signing. Lockett is obviously not nearly what he once was, but he has experience, and that will be prevalent in this situation. Cam Ward will need to lean on some veterans, and Lockett can help him develop. That makes Lockett well worth this small contract.

March 2025 – Signings
Titans sign QB Tim Boyle (1 year, $who cares): SNOW MILLEN Grade
signed on 3/26/2025
The contract details aren’t out yet for this signing, but it doesn’t matter. The Titans could have paid Tim Boyle a half-dozen cashews to take this job, and it would still be an overpay.
There is no reason Boyle should be in the NFL. None. Not even as a sixth quarterback on the worst team in the league. He is the worst quarterback I’ve ever seen in my life, and if you don’t believe me, check out his college stats from three years at Connecticut: one touchdown, 13 interceptions. How does this bum keep getting a job!?

Titans sign DT Dre'Mont Jones (1 year, $10 million): C Grade
signed on 3/12/2025
The Titans struggled to get to the quarterback last year, owning the league’s second-worst pressure rate. Signing Dre’Mont Jones a couple of years ago might have helped, but that’s not likely to be the case now.
Jones has regressed as a pass rusher in recent years, and he’s always struggled against the run. He’s 28, so he could rebound, but it seems silly to give a declining player $10 million for just one year.

Titans sign G Kevin Zeitler (1 year, $9 million): A+ or D Grade
signed on 3/12/2025
This is a great signing if the Titans plan on using the No. 1 overall pick on Cam Ward. They already signed Dan Moore, so with Kevin Zeitler joining the team, they’d have an adequate offensive line to protect their young quarterback. Granted, Zeitler is 35, but he played at a very high level last year.
Conversely, if the Titans go the veteran route, which won’t work, this would be a wasted, counterproductive signing that would only hurt Tennessee’s chances of landing Arch Manning next April.

Titans sign WR Van Jefferson (1 year, $2.5 million): B- Grade
signed on 3/12/2025
The Titans lost Nick Westbrook-Ikhine this offseason, so they needed another depth piece in the receiving corps. Van Jefferson is a step down from the Miami-bound Westbrook-Ikhine, but he had an 800-yard season at some point in his career. This was in Sean McVay’s offense, so I wouldn’t expect Jefferson to ever repeat that again, but it’s hard to hate on a deal worth just $2.5 million.

Titans sign S Xavier Woods (2 years, $10 million): B Grade
signed on 3/11/2025
The Titans obtained two talented cornerbacks last offseason, and now they’re trying to pair them with a quality safety. Xavier Woods was definitely described as such a couple of years ago, but things have changed recently. Woods, now 30, didn’t cover very well last year. Perhaps this was age-based regression. He could rebound, but there’s a chance this decline continues. The good news is that the Titans aren’t really taking a big risk with this signing.

Titans sign LB Cody Barton (3 years, $21 million): B- Grade
signed on 3/10/2025
If the Titans were looking to get better against the run, they found their man. Cody Barton is excellent in run support, so he’ll definitely help in that regard. The problem with Barton is that he gets abused in coverage. He’s a major liability against the pass, so there is a downside to this signing.

Titans sign OT Dan Moore (4 years, $82 million): C Grade
signed on 3/10/2025
The Titans had something planned when they cut Harold Landry. They needed the money for something, and that something was … Dan Moore?
Moore is coming off his best year, but the former Steeler was still not very good. He was decent in pass protection, but struggled as a run blocker. He’s an OK starter, but he’s definitely not worth $82 million over four years.
