This page lists all the 2025 NFL Signings for the Washington Redskins. I’ve listed all of the NFL Free Agent Signing Grades here, which included the Signings. Because I’ve begun posting polls for the Signings, I thought it would make sense to list just the NFL Signings here, so archiving the voting would be easier.

March 2025 – Signings
Redskins sign NT Eddie Goldman (1 year, $1.25 million): C+ Grade
signed on 3/20/2025
Eddie Goldman retired from the NFL following the 2021 season, but decided to return to action this past year. He played for the Falcons, but didn’t do very well. Once a terrific run stuffer, Goldman was trampled in rush support. He also didn’t get pressure on the quarterback.
There’s a small chance Goldman rebounds a bit now that he’s in his second year back from reversing his retirement, but he’s 31, so it’s a very small possibility.

Redskins sign DE Jacob Martin (1 year, $3 million): B Grade
signed on 3/13/2025
Jacob Martin is an undersized edge rusher who has carved out a fine career for himself after being a sixth-round pick. He’s had between two and four sacks every season, playing about a quarter of his team’s snaps. He’ll continue his role as a passing-down specialist, providing depth at a reasonable price.

Redskins re-sign WR Noah Brown (1 year, $4.5 million): A+ Grade
signed on 3/13/2025
Noah Brown was having his best year as a pro until he suffered a kidney injury and was knocked out for the remainder of the season. Brown figures to be fine heading into 2025, so he’ll take on the No. 3 role unless the Redskins add another player to the position. This is a great bargain for Brown, who has shown that he can have some big games if given the opportunity. As someone who bet on the Redskins to win Super Bowl LX, I love this re-signing.

Redskins sign DE Deatrich Wise (1 year, $5 million): B Grade
signed on 3/12/2025
This is the second 30-something former New England player the Redskins signed today, as Deatrich Wise will join Jonathan Jones in Washington.
The Redskins will need as many pass rushers as possible to combat Jalen Hurts in two divisional matchups and a potential third playoff contest. Deatrich Wise used to be strong at rushing the passer, but things have changed since he turned 30. Wise is no longer the player he once was, though he’s still a viable rotational piece. There’s a chance he could have one more decent season, and this cheap price makes it so this signing can’t be graded poorly.

Redskins sign CB Jonathan Jones (1 year, $5.5 million): B Grade
signed on 3/12/2025
Jonathan Jones was an excellent cornerback for the Patriots for a long time – until this past season. Whether it was age (31) or the departure of Bill Belichick, Jones greatly regressed.
Jones turns 32 in September, so there’s not much hope that he can rebound. It should be noted that there’s a chance Dan Quinn gets him to play up to his ability again, but that doesn’t seem overly likely. Still, this is a 1-year “prove it” deal with almost no downside, so it’s hard to dislike it.

Redskins re-sign QB Marcus Mariota (1 year, $8 million): B+ Grade
signed on 3/12/2025
The Redskins are one of the top teams in the NFL, so they need a premium backup quarterback to keep things afloat if Jayden Daniels were to suffer a multi-week injury. Mariota did a good job in relief of Daniels last year when Daniels injured his ribs. This signing makes sense, and it’s not like Washington is taking on much of a risk.

Redskins sign S Will Harris (2 years, $8 million): B Grade
signed on 3/11/2025
Will Harris has been an inconsistent player throughout his career. He had one strong season with the Lions, but then went on to struggle. However, he’s coming off his best year, so it’s nice that the Redskins are able to acquire him without overpaying for him. This is a decent signing where the Redskins are getting a quality depth player at virtually no risk.

Redskins sign DT Javon Kinlaw (3 years, $45 million): MILLEN Grade
signed on 3/10/2025
As someone who bet the Redskins to win the Super Bowl at 22/1 odds, I’m not a very happy camper right now. The Redskins entered free agency with a ton of cap space, but squandered some of it here by signing Javon Kinlaw.
Kinlaw is a huge first-round bust. He’s a major liability against the run. He can generate some sort of a pass rush, but he’s not very good in that regard. He’s still somewhat young (27), so perhaps he’ll be a late bloomer, but this contract is ridiculous.

Redskins re-sign TE Zach Ertz (1 year, $6.25 million): A- Grade
signed on 3/9/2025
The Redskins are getting the band back together. They re-signed Bobby Wagner to a 1-year deal a few days ago, and now they’ve done the same with Zach Ertz.
Ertz was productive at times last year and did well as Jayden Daniels’ No. 2 passing threat. Ertz will be a tertiary option at the very most with Deebo Samuel now on the roster, but this is a solid re-signing, as Ertz can continue to serve as a reliable intermediate weapon. Ertz is 34 and his skills could plummet, but there’s not much risk with this contract.

Redskins re-sign ILB Bobby Wagner (1 year, $9.5 million): A Grade
signed on 3/7/2025
Bobby Wagner seemed to be aging out quickly a few years ago, but he’s had a strong second career. He’s not the same dominant player he once was in coverage, but he’s still an elite run defender who was instrumental in Washington’s defensive success last year.
This is definitely a great move. Re-signing Wagner is key for the Redskins and doesn’t carry too much risk because it’s only for one season.
