This page lists all the 2025 NFL Signings for the Minnesota Vikings. I’ve listed all of the NFL Free Agent Signing Grades here, which included the Signings. Because I’ve begun posting polls for the Signings, I thought it would make sense to list just the NFL Signings here, so archiving the voting would be easier.

March 2025 – Signings
Vikings sign WR Rondale Moore (1 year, $2 million): B+ Grade
signed on 3/28/2025
The Vikings obviously have two elite receivers, but there is very little depth at the position. Jalen Nailor is the only other viable wideout, so it made sense for the Vikings to sign another pass-catcher.
This appears to be a decent signing. Moore hasn’t lived up to his second-round billing as far as the stats are concerned, but he’s had dubious quarterback play over the years. It seemed like that would change in 2024 when he joined the Falcons, but he suffered a season-ending knee injury in August. It remains to be seen if Moore can return to full strength off the knee injury, but this is a cheap enough signing that there really is no downside.

Vikings sign CB Jeff Okudah (1 year, $2.35 million): B+ Grade
signed on 3/26/2025
It’s astonishing that the Lions were able to transform from a basement dweller to a Super Bowl contender recently despite whiffing horribly on the No. 3 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. That was Jeff Okudah, who was one of the worst cornerbacks in the NFL last year.
However, Okudah is only 26, and he obviously had talent to be drafted so highly. He could always be a late bloomer, and perhaps Brian Flores will be able to get something out of him. I like the Vikings taking a chance on him with this cheap 1-year contract.

Vikings sign DT Javon Hargrave (2 years, $30 million): B Grade
signed on 3/12/2025
This is a difficult grade. This could end up being a great signing for Minnesota. Javon Hargrave might be a tremendous interior disruptor for the Vikings. He missed most of 2024 with torn triceps, but he logged 26 sacks in the three prior seasons. There’s a chance the Vikings will get that level of play from him.
On the other hand, Hargave is 32 and he’s coming off a season in which he barely played. This is a lot of money for a player like that. I like that the Vikings are taking a chance because they have a good shot to reach the Super Bowl this year, but this could end up backfiring.

Vikings sign G Will Fries (5 years, $88 million): B+ Grade
signed on 3/11/2025
The Vikings quite literally signed Ryan Kelly and said, “I’d like Fries with that.” With Kelly and now Will Fries, Minnesota has signed two players away from Indianapolis’ offensive line.
Fries may not be a household name, but he was performing as one of the top guards in the NFL last year before suffering a leg injury. I like this move, as the Vikings have made two great additions to the offensive line to aid J.J. McCarthy’s protection. The contract is worth slightly more than I anticipated, but shielding a young quarterback from harm should always be a priority.

Vikings sign DT Jonathan Allen (3 years, $60 million): D Grade
signed on 3/11/2025
I’ve seen this signing be applauded by some. Those people clearly haven’t watched Jonathan Allen over the past couple of years. Allen has been in steady decline, thanks to age (30) and injuries. I get the feeling the Vikings haven’t watched Allen either.
I would’ve loved this signing for Minnesota a couple of years ago. Now, this is laughably bad. Perhaps Brian Flores can turn Allen’s career around, but the former Redskin is 30, so giving him this sort of a contract is irresponsible.

Vikings re-sign CB Byron Murphy (3 years, $66 million): A Grade
signed on 3/10/2025
While the Vikings found a new center to help them on offense, they’ve addressed their defense by keeping one of their best players. That would be Byron Murphy, who was re-signed to a 3-year deal in which he’ll be paid $22 million per season.
Murphy is an excellent cornerback who is coming off a great season. He’s only 27, so he’ll play at a high level throughout the duration of this contract. Keeping him is a great decision.

Vikings sign C Ryan Kelly (2 years, $18 million): A+ Grade
signed on 3/10/2025
This is a great deal for Minnesota. Ryan Kelly is usually ranked among the best centers in the NFL. This will change soon because he’s 32. He also dealt with some injuries last year. However, centers have been known to play well into their mid-30s, so there’s a good chance Kelly rebounds and plays very well this upcoming season. The Vikings are getting him at a great bargain, so this signing should be graded as an A+.

Vikings sign CB Isaiah Rodgers (2 years, $15 million): B- Grade
signed on 3/10/2025
My initial reaction to this signing was that this was a lot of money for a player who has been nothing but a backup in his career. However, Isaiah Rodgers has played well when called upon, so perhaps the Vikings are seeing something with him that others haven’t, much like the Eagles did last year with Zack Baun. This could end up being a solid signing, though I maintain that Minnesota could have gotten Rodgers for a bit less.

Vikings re-sign RB Aaron Jones (2 years, $20 million): B Grade
signed on 3/9/2025
Aaron Jones had a mixed tenure in Green Bay. He had many electric games, but he had major problems staying healthy. He signed a 1-year “prove it” deal with Minnesota last season and defied the odds. He had a strong season and somehow remained healthy.
We’ll see if that happens again. Durability and age are the concerns with Jones. If he can stay on the field and avoid regression, this contract will definitely seem like a bargain. However, Jones has a checkered history when it comes to stay healthy, so the downside can’t be ignored.
