This page lists all the 2025 NFL Signings for the Denver Broncos. I’ve listed all of the NFL Free Agent Signing Grades here, which included the Signings. Because I’ve begun posting polls for the Signings, I thought it would make sense to list just the NFL Signings here, so archiving the voting would be easier.

March 2025 – Signings
Broncos sign TE Evan Engram (2 years, $23 million): B+ Grade
signed on 3/12/2025
Sean Payton may have his next Jimmy Graham, albeit for the short term. Evan Engram, who had some big seasons for Jacksonville, was signed to a 2-year deal to catch passes from Bo Nix.
Evan Engram is a receptions monster, so Nix should utilize him heavily. I love this addition for the Broncos in a vacuum, but the problem is Engram’s age. Engram will turn 31 prior to the start of the season, and he’s coming off a year in which he dealt with injuries, so there’s a chance this could be a failed signing. Still, there’s a ton of upside, and Engram should be able to have one or two more strong seasons.

Broncos sign LB Dre Greenlaw (3 years, $35 million): A Grade
signed on 3/10/2025
The Broncos are having an amazing day. Just after signing a star safety, they managed to continue to bolster the middle of the field by signing Dre Greenlaw away from the 49ers.
Greenlaw barely played last year because he was coming off an injury he suffered in the Super Bowl. When healthy, however, Greenlaw has shown that he can be terrific in both run support and pass coverage. Other linebacers have signed for more this month, yet Greenlaw is arguably better than all of them.

Broncos sign S Talanoa Hufanga (3 years, $45 million): A+ Grade
signed on 3/10/2025
Talanoa Hufanga was one of the top players on the market, regardless of position. Somehow, he’s gotten deals comparable to what other safeties have received, which doesn’t make any sense.
The only negative about Hufanga was that he was hurt last year. However, he’s a young, dynamic play-maker who will provide an immense upgrade to Denver’s secondary. This is an A+ signing.

Broncos re-sign DT D.J. Jones (3 years, $39 million): MILLEN Grade
signed on 3/10/2025
I feel like I’m suffering from the Mandela Effect right now. Has D.J. Jones not been a mediocre-at-best producer in the NFL? Is he not 30? Did Sinbad not star in a movie called Shazaam?
This is a ridiculous contract. Jones is a mediocre run stopper and hasn’t logged more than two sacks in any season. He’s also 30, so he’ll be declining soon. Why in the world are the Broncos giving him $13 million per season? If he got half of that, I’d still think it was an overpay!

Broncos re-sign QB Jarrett Stidham (2 years, $12 million): B- Grade
signed on 3/9/2025
This is an overpay. Mediocre backup quarterbacks make about $4 million or so per year, and yet Stidham will be earning 50 percent more than that. He has just four career starts in the NFL and very limited upside, so there’s no reason to pay him this much.
However, this is not an egregious overpay, and Stidham has an important role with the Broncos. He’s valuable in the film room, as he helped develop Bo Nix last year. I can see why Sean Payton wanted to keep Stidham, but there just wasn’t a need to pay him this much money.
