This page lists all the 2025 NFL Signings for the Atlanta Falcons. I’ve listed all of the NFL Free Agent Signing Grades here, which included the Signings. Because I’ve begun posting polls for the Signings, I thought it would make sense to list just the NFL Signings here, so archiving the voting would be easier.

March 2025 – Signings
Falcons sign S Jordan Fuller (1 year, $1.34 million): A Grade
signed on 3/26/2025
Jordan Fuller isn’t a great safety by any means, but I really like this signing for the Falcons. Fuller isn’t very good in coverage, but he’s very solid when it comes to run support. He’ll be able to have a role on the Falcons in that regard, which will be key because he’ll be needed when going up against Bucky Irving in two crucial matchups against the Buccaneers in 2025.

Falcons sign DE Ryan Fox (2 years, $8.5 million): B Grade
signed on 3/14/2025
Morgan Fox was a backup for the Chargers over the past three years, but he played a healthy number of snaps. In those three years, he averaged slightly more than five sacks per season. He may continue to be a capable rotational pass rusher with the Falcons, but the concern is that he’ll turn 31 just prior to the start of the 2025 season, so there could be some regression.

Falcons sign CB Mike Ford (2 years, $4 million): B+ Grade
signed on 3/12/2025
I don’t normally grade special teams signings, but Day 3 of free agency is slow thus far. The Falcons had a bottom-10 special teams unit last year. They needed to make upgrades in this area, and Mike Ford certainly qualifies. Ford is an excellent special teamer, so he’ll be able to help Atlanta in that regard at a cheap price.

Falcons sign DE/OLB Leonard Floyd (1 year, $10 million): A+ Grade
signed on 3/11/2025
That was fast. The 49ers cut Leonard Floyd earlier in the day, perhaps anticipating the addition of Joey Bosa. Hours later, Floyd signed a 1-year contract with the Falcons.
It’s odd that Floyd didn’t allow the market to develop for him, but the Falcons won’t complain. Floyd has been a highly productive pass rusher who should be able to perform like Atlanta expected Matthew Judon last year. The one concern with Floyd is that he’s 32, but that’s mitigated by this team-friendly, 1-year contract.

Falcons re-sign CB Mike Hughes (3 years, $18 million): B Grade
signed on 3/11/2025
Mike Hughes is coming off the best season of his career, but he’s been inconsistent over the years. It would have been a mistake to give him a big deal as a reward for his 2024 campaign, so this contract is a good one. Hughes is a versatile cornerback, so Atlanta did well to keep him.

Falcons sign LB Divine Deablo (2 years, $14 million): B Grade
signed on 3/11/2025
If the Falcons were looking to improve against the run, they found their man. Divine Deablo is a solid two-down linebacker who helps to clamp down on the run. He’s poor in coverage, however, so Atlanta should not use him in that regard. Given the terms of this contract, it doesn’t appear as though the Falcons have aspirations to do so, which makes this signing pretty decent.

Falcons re-sign OT Jake Matthews (2 years, $45 million): B+ Grade
signed on 3/9/2025
I’ve been writing that the Falcons need to find a successor for Jake Matthews in future mock drafts. The front office apparently disagrees, as they offered Matthews a new 2-year deal worth $45 million.
Matthews is coming off a great year, so I can understand why the Falcons would give him this contract. There is risk to this because Matthews is 33, and he’s no longer protecting his quarterback’s blind side – Michael Penix Jr. is left-handed – so this is not a slam-dunk signing. However, I’m all for keeping a relatively young quarterback’s protection intact in his developmental years.
