  1. Tennessee Titans: Jalen Mills, S, LSU
The Titans found some help for Marcus Mariota. Now, it’s time to upgrade the defense. The secondary in particular needs some work, as Tennessee needs better safety play to beat Andrew Luck.

    Follow @walterfootball for updates.

  2. Cleveland Browns: Kamalei Correa, DE/OLB, Boise State
If the Browns don’t opt for Joey Bosa at No. 2 overall, they’ll probably take an edge rusher on Day 2, as they definitely need to improve their pass rush.

  3. San Diego Chargers: Ryan Kelly, C, Alabama
The Chargers said goodbye to Nick Hardwick this offseason. They’ve tried Chris Watt out as a replacement, but because he’s a natural guard at the center position, he was woeful in 2015 before landing on injured reserve. Here’s a solution.

Pick change; previously Nick Martin, C

  4. Dallas Cowboys: Alex Collins, RB, Arkansas
Darren McFadden has looked good recently, but the Cowboys can’t really count on him for the long term. Here’s their running back of the future.

  5. San Francisco 49ers: De’Runnya Wilson, WR, Mississippi State
The 49ers wasted money on Torrey Smith, while Anquan Boldin doesn’t have much left. A new receiver is desperately needed.

Pick change; previously Tyler Matakevich, ILB

  6. Jacksonville Jaguars: Beniquez Brown, ILB, Mississippi State
Paul Posluszny used to be a quality player, but he has slowed down recently. The Jaguars will have to upgrade him this offseason.

  7. Baltimore Ravens: Scooby Wright, LB, Arizona
Daryl Smith’s play has dropped off recently, so it wouldn’t surprise me if the Ravens draft a successor at some point.

  8. New York Giants: Kenneth Dixon, RB, Louisiana Tech
Tom Coughlin figured out that going with a rotation of Rashad Jennings and Shane Vereen worked best, but it was already too late. It’s hard to count on Jennings for the long term, however, so here’s a potential running back of the future.

  9. Chicago Bears: Cardale Jones, QB, Ohio State
Jay Cutler will probably be around for just one more year, so the Bears need to think about using an early draft choice on a successor.

  10. Miami Dolphins: Deion Jones, LB, LSU
Koa Misi and Jelani Jenkins are solid, but the Dolphins could use a third linebacker, especially one who is good in coverage.

Pick change; previously Will Redmond, CB

  11. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jeremy Cash, S, Duke
It’s sad times when Chris Conte is your top safety. The Buccaneers absolutely have to do something about this.

  12. Oakland Raiders: Vonn Bell, S, Ohio State
Despite his age, Charles Woodson somehow played like one of the top safeties in the NFL. Unfortunately for the Raiders, Woodson announced his retirement.

  13. Los Angeles Rams: Connor Cook, QB, Michigan State
Connor Cook’s draft stock has plummeted. Prior to this season, there were only concerns about his inconsistency and accuracy. Now, teams have been telling us that he has some glaring character issues. Some believe he’s a Jimmy Clausen-type diva and that he’s scared of competition, as evidenced when he inexplicably declined to participate in the Senior Bowl. Cook may fall to Round 3, but the Rams have taken chances on prospects with character flaws, so they could draft him to perhaps fill the void they have at quarterback.

Pick change; previously Jalen Mills, S

  14. Philadelphia Eagles: Willie Beavers, OT, Western Michigan
The Eagles will have to move on from Jason Peters soon, meaning Lane Johnson will move to the blind side. Someone will have to step in at right tackle.

  15. New Orleans Saints: Sterling Shepard, WR, Oklahoma
With Marques Colston on his way out shortly, the Saints will have to find a third receiver to go along with Brandin Cooks and Willie Snead.

  16. Philadelphia Eagles: Jayron Kearse, S, Clemson
The Eagles have spent tons of money re-signing players that they may not be able to keep some of their other free agents, including Walter Thurmond. If Thurmond leaves, Philadelphia will have to find a new safety.

Pick change; previously Braxton Miller, WR

  17. Buffalo Bills: Carl Nassib, DE/OLB, Penn State
One of the reasons Buffalo’s defense declined this year was the poor play of Mario Williams. It’s difficult to imagine him being back, so here’s a replacement.

  18. Atlanta Falcons: Jack Allen, C, Michigan State
There were several reasons why Matt Ryan struggled this past season. The offensive line was one – specifically, the center position, which was a major liability.

  19. Indianapolis Colts: Will Redmond, CB, Mississippi State
Vontae Davis had a down year for the Colts, yet he was the team’s top cornerback. That’s how dire things are at the position for Indianapolis.

Pick change; previously Braxton Miller, WR

  20. New York Jets: William Jackson, CB, Houston
I never thought I’d be writing that the Jets would need a cornerback after they signed Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie last offseason, but the latter struggled mightily, showing major signs of regression.

Pick change; previously Zack Sanchez, CB

  21. Washington Redskins: Graham Glasgow, C, Michigan
One of the reasons Washington’s running game has been so erratic has been because the team has gotten poor play out of its center. This is the primary position the Redskins need to upgrade up front.

  22. Houston Texans: Jalin Marshall, WR, Ohio State
It’s amazing that DeAndre Hopkins is so productive, considering that there’s no one drawing attention across from him. The Texans want that to change.

  23. Minnesota Vikings: Willie Henry, DT, Michigan
The Vikings could stand to benefit adding some depth to the interior of their defensive front.

  24. Cincinnati Bengals: Zack Sanchez, CB, Oklahoma
Pacman Jones was terrific this past season, but with he and Leon Hall both older than 30, the Bengals will have to find some young blood at cornerback.

Pick change; previously Deion Jones, LB

  25. Green Bay Packers: C.J. Prosise, RB, Notre Dame
Eddie Lacy was so fat last year that the Packers want him to lose 30 pounds this offseason. Meanwhile, James Starks is an impending free agent. The Packers will be targeting a running back in the middle rounds.

Pick change; previously Joe Schobert, LB

  26. Pittsburgh Steelers: Artie Burns, CB, Miami
Pittsburgh’s secondary is horrible right now, but there’s lots of potential with that unit if the team can find a No. 1 corner to play across from Ross Cockrell.

  27. Seattle Seahawks: Deiondre’ Hall, CB, Northern Iowa
Seattle’s latest mid-round tall cornerback, Deiondre’ Hall could help an ailing secondary that couldn’t stop Cam Newton in the divisional round.

  28. Kansas City Chiefs: Leonte Carroo, WR, Rutgers
The Chiefs need a receiver besides Jeremy Maclin. When Maclin left the game against the Chargers, the offense looked pretty lost for a while.

  29. New England Patriots: Jordan Howard, RB, Indiana
It doesn’t seem like Bill Belichick wants to count on LeGarrette Blount, so he’ll probably try to find someone to pair with Dion Lewis.

Pick change; previously C.J. Prosise, RB

  30. Arizona Cardinals: T.J. Green, S, Clemson
The Cardinals need safety help after their two starters embarrassed themselves in the NFC Championship.

Pick change; previously Jordan Jenkins, DE/OLB

  31. Denver Broncos: Sebastian Tretola, G, Arkansas
Denver’s issues on the defensive line have been well established. Given that Ryan Clady will return from injury next year, the interior will have to be addressed, especially with Evan Mathis set to hit free agency in March.

Pick change; previously Landon Turner, G

  32. Carolina Panthers: Le’Raven Clark, OT, Texas Tech
Four of the five Carolina offensive linemen have blocked very well this year. The exception is right tackle Mike Remmers. The Panthers could target a potential upgrade early in the draft.
