*** THIS IS A LIVE 2013 NFL MOCK DRAFT. PICKS ARE BEING POSTED NOW. TO SEE PREVIOUS VERSIONS, CHECK OUT THE ARCHIVED 2013 NFL MOCK DRAFT SECTION. FOLLOW @walterfootball FOR UPDATES ***

  1. Kansas City Chiefs: Terron Armstead, OT, Arkansas-Pine Bluff
The Chiefs keep getting rid of their tackles, so I guess I have to keep mocking them players at that position.

    Follow @walterfootball for updates.

Pick change; previously David Bakhtiari, OT/G

  2. Jacksonville Jaguars: David Bakhtiari, OT/G, Colorado
David Bakhtiari would be a nice addition for the Jaguars, who have several holes up front. Bakhtiari can play four positions on the offensive line.

Pick change; previously Barrett Jones, G/C/OT

  3. Detroit Lions: David Amerson, CB/S, N.C. State
The Lions still need cornerback help even after re-signing Chris Houston. They've shown a good amount of interest in David Amerson.

  4. Oakland Raiders: Kawann Short, DT, Purdue
If the Raiders take an offensive tackle instead of Sharrif Floyd at No. 3, they'll have to address the interior of their defensive front on Day 2.

Pick change; previously Matt Barkley, QB

  5. Philadelphia Eagles: Gavin Escobar, TE, San Diego State
The Eagles have shown a ton of interest in Gavin Escobar - go here to see the 2013 NFL Draft Prospect Meetings. Chip Kelly loves utilizing tight ends in his offense, and the Eagles need one even after signing James Casey, given that Brent Celek is in decline.

  6. Cleveland Browns: Jamie Collins, DE/OLB, Southern Miss
Michael Lombardi loves pass-rushers. He'll likely draft one early despite signing Paul Kruger because Jabaal Sheard is not a good fit for the 3-4. He could be traded.

  7. Arizona Cardinals: J.J. Wilcox, S, Georgia Southern
Adrian Wilson and Kerry Rhodes were both cut, which opened up a major hole at safety for Arizona. Yeremiah Bell was signed, but he's just one player, and a short-term solution at that.

  8. Tennessee Titans: Jordan Poyer, CB, Oregon State
If the Titans don't draft Dee Milliner in the first round, they'll have to find a cornerback on Day 2. They need to improve their terrible pass defense if they want to beat the Colts or Texans.

  9. Buffalo Bills: Vance McDonald, TE, Rice
General manager Buddy Nix recently told the media that he plans on upgrading the tight end position. Expect one of his Day 2 selections to be used on this.

  10. New York Jets: Christine Michael, RB, Texas A&M
The Jets need to give their next quarterback some weapons to work with. Both the receiver and tight end positions need to be upgraded. Running back must be addressed as well. Shonn Greene signed with the Titans, but he wasn't very good anyway.

  11. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Blidi Wreh-Wilson, CB, Connecticut
The Buccaneers traded for Darrelle Revis - go here to see the Revis trade grade - but they still need to add another corner.

  12. San Francisco 49ers: B.W. Webb, CB, William & Mary Teams are always looking for cornerback depth, especially if they have extra picks. Besides, Carlos Rogers didn't play as well this past season. He was solid at times, but was inconsistent.

Pick change; previously John Jenkins, NT

  13. New Orleans Saints: Jesse Williams, NT, Alabama
Another piece for New Orleans' new 3-4. The Saints could use a long-term solution at nose tackle behind Brodrick Bunkley.

  14. San Diego Chargers: Stedman Bailey, WR, West Virginia
More help for Philip Rivers - but at the receiver position. Robert Meachem was a failed signing last year, so San Diego will look to replace him.

Pick change; previously Terrance Williams, WR

  15. Miami Dolphins: Brandon Williams, NT, Missouri Southern
The Dolphins franchised Randy Starks, but Paul Soliai is entering his walk year. That means both defensive tackles will be free agents next March. Miami has shown interest in plenty of defensive tackles this offseason, so it'll probably draft one early.

  16. St. Louis Rams: Shamarko Thomas, S, Syracuse
The Rams have absolutely nothing at safety. Both Craig Dahl and Quintin Mikell are gone, leaving just Rodney McLeon and Darian Stewart at the position. Neither played very much in 2012.

  17. Pittsburgh Steelers: Phillip Thomas, S, Fresno State
Troy Polamalu can't seem to get healthy, while Ryan Clark, who just turned 33, will be entering his contract year. The Steelers need to get younger at safety.

  18. Dallas Cowboys: Damontre Moore, DE/OLB, Texas A&M The only real depth the Cowboys have behind DeMarcus Ware and Anthony Spencer is Kyle Wilber, who is new to the position. Jerry Jones may decide to ignore Damontre Moore's character flaws.

Pick change; previously Bennie Logan, DT

  19. New York Giants: Khaseem Greene, LB, Rutgers
Keith Rivers just signed a 1-year deal, but he's not the long-term solution because he can never stay healthy. General manager Jerry Reese said that there needs to be better linebacker play next year.

  20. Miami Dolphins: Ryan Swope, WR, Texas A&M
The Dolphins added Mike Wallace and Brandon Gibson, and they also re-signed Brian Hartline, but that doesn't mean they won't take a receiver in the middle rounds. Davone Bess is due a non-guaranteed $2.63 million this season. Joe Philbin said he'll be competing for a roster spot, so Miami may just draft a cheaper solution.

Pick change; previously Stedman Bailey, WR

  21. Minnesota Vikings: Travis Frederick, G/C, Wisconsin
The Vikings could stand to bolster in the interior of their offensive line, as neither Charlie Johnson nor Brandon Fusco played well at guard this past season.

  22. Cincinnati Bengals: Da'Rick Rogers, WR, Tennessee Tech
The Bengals drafted two receivers last year, but they still might be searching for another wideout. Da'Rick Rogers makes a ton of sense for Cincinnati as a wideout with tons of upside but off-the-field issues.

  23. Washington Redskins: D.J. Swearinger, S, South Carolina
More secondary help for the Redskins. They need a safety to pair with Brandon Meriweather - assuming that Meriweather can actually stay on the field for a change.

  24. Indianapolis Colts: Corey Lemonier, DE/OLB, Auburn
The Colts have issues with their pass rush. Robert Mathis just turned 32 and will be due $12 million in 2014 and 2015. Jerry Hughes has never lived up to expectations. Dwight Freeney is gone. Erik Walden was just signed for depth despite being incredibly overpaid.

  25. Seattle Seahawks: Jelani Jenkins, OLB, Florida
The Seahawks are pretty thin at linebacker with Leroy Hill gone. They may want to bring someone in to compete for the weakside linebacker job.

  26. Green Bay Packers: David Quessenberry, G/C/OT, San Jose State
Can anyone explain why Jeff Saturday was voted to the Pro Bowl? He didn't even start at the end of the season. The Packers had major problems at center after letting Scott Wells walk away, so they'll have to address that area in April. Ted Thompson would love to have someone like David Quessenberry, who can play pretty much any position.

  27. Houston Texans: Tony Jefferson, S, Oklahoma
The Texans have to find safety help in the wake of losing Glover Quin in free agency to the Lions.

Pick change; previously Earl Wolff, S

  28. Denver Broncos: Le'Veon Bell, RB, Michigan State
John Fox is not shy about using early selections on running backs. He needs one. Willis McGahee is old, Knowshon Moreno can't be trusted, and Ronnie Hillman's just a chance-of-pace back.

  29. New England Patriots: Dallas Thomas, G/OT, Tennessee
The Patriots are looking for an offensive lineman for depth who could eventually start. Dallas Thomas will be considered because he's versatile, which is something Bill Belichick loves out of blockers.

  30. Atlanta Falcons: Sean Porter, OLB, Texas A&M
As noted in my Atlanta Falcons Offseason Needs page, the Falcons' play at linebacker must improve. Stephen Nicholas can't be on the field on all three downs, while Akeem Dent was a disappointment in his first season as a starter. The team needs to find a linebacker capable of playing all three downs with Sean Weatherspoon.

  31. San Francisco 49ers: Travis Kelce, TE, Cincinnati
The 49ers obviously have Vernon Davis as one of Colin Kaepernick's top targets, but Jim Harbaugh loves utilizing multiple tight ends. He used to have Delanie Walker as a No. 2 tight end option, but Walker signed with the Titans this offseason.

  32. Baltimore Ravens: Keenan Allen, WR, California
The Ravens have to find a big possession receiver to help fill the void left by Anquan Boldin. Keenan Allen could fall way down because of his poor workout and shady Combine drug test. If so, the Ravens would be happy to have him.

Pick change; previously Terrance Williams, WR

  33. Houston Texans: Dion Sims, TE, Michigan State
The Texans love utilizing multiple tight ends. They'll be looking for another one this offseason in the wake of losing James Casey to the Eagles.

Pick change; previously Jordan Reed, TE

  34. Kansas City Chiefs: Terrance Williams, WR, Baylor
The Chiefs re-signed Dwayne Bowe and added Donnie Avery, but they still need one more receiver for their new quarterback.

Pick change; previously Stedman Bailey, WR

  35. Tennessee Titans: Bacarri Rambo, S, Georgia
The Titans signed Bernard Pollard and George Wilson, but they'll still consider using a mid-round pick on a young safety. They like to use three safeties, and Michael Griffin's status is uncertain because he's due more than $6 million per year in 2014-16.

It does not matter what you people think of certain players. I always read the stupid little back and forth arguments. If history is any indication, some of the best players from just about every single draft have been 2nd-7th rounders. So what if Geno Smith and Matt Barkley did not go in the first. Only time will tell if these young guys can step in and make an impact. It all depends on work ethic, talent level, maturity, injury factors. There are so many factors that go into whether or not a player will have a prosperous career. Do some teams draft better than others? Absolutely. The Raiders have goofed up the draft just about every single year for the last ten years. Reggie McKenzie spent his first round pick this year on an undersized and under athletic corner out of Houston and he wasn't even the best corner available on the board at the time. Foolish.

Told you Walter...Eric Fisher, not Luke Joeckel!..Also told you that Geno Smith wouldn't even go in the first round..and rightfully so, because Geno Smith is a bust.

Also told you that EJ Manuel would be the first QB taken, and Buffalo got it right by taking EJ and not Geno.

You need new sources..or..should I say..actual sources.

Bears fan quote "you a Fu**ing idiot".

It's "you are" and only one period. Or, three in a continuation sentence, which it isn't. Not sure about two periods, must be something new. Killing falcons obviously implies my team is from the NFC south. And commenting on getting Darrell Revis should have been a dead give away, but not for "bears fan". Nope, that's too complicated for you. And I didn't say Long was a bad player, just that you could have moved back and still got him of maybe even early second round. Because no ones mock draft had him going at 20 to Chicago, no one. Prove me I'm wrong. Did anyone won the nfl guess all 32 selections right? Anyone? Answer is no. Not even guys that do this for a living with inside information were getting this one right. So, bang on Walter "bears fan", bc I'm still waiting for your mock. Besides that, I thought all of the NFC south teams drafted well unfortunately. Congrats to the saints, panthers, and falcons. All did very well.
