This is a 2014 NFL Mock Re-Draft of Rounds 2 and 3 for Friday evening’s NFL Draft coverage. With all of the trades that will go down, I don’t expect to get many of these right, but it’s still fun to speculate where the top prospects will go on Day 2 of the 2014 NFL Draft.

  1. Houston Texans: Stephon Tuitt, DE, Notre Dame
If the Texans keep this pick, it’ll come down to Tuitt or Marqise Lee. The Texans could use a five-technique to replace Antonio Smith, but also need a slot receiver. Tuitt would be a great fit as an end in a 3-4.

  2. Washington Redskins: Stanley Jean-Baptiste, CB, Nebraska
Redskins general manager Bruce Allen has done a nice job of filling needs this offseason. Washington could consider more talent at corner to pair with David Amerson in the long run.

  3. Cleveland Browns: Carlos Hyde, RB, Ohio State
The Browns grab a lead back to power their offense. Hyde is a great fit for Kyle Shanahan’s system and gives the team a two-back tandem with Ben Tate. Hyde will take the pressure off Johnny Manziel.

  4. Oakland Raiders: Gabe Jackson, G, Mississippi State
The Raiders need a starter at guard. The road-grading Jackson could step in and make a difference for Darren McFadden and Maurice Jones-Drew.

  5. Atlanta Falcons: Kony Ealy, DE, Missouri
The Falcons need a speed rusher off the edge and have shown interest in Ealy. He would be a good value and versatile for their 4-3 or 3-4 sets.

  6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Marqise Lee, WR, USC
Lee is too good to pass up. I know that he could easily land with Houston or Oakland. Lee would give Tampa Bay a big wide out to work with its “Twin Towers.”

  7. Jacksonville Jaguars: Demarcus Lawrence, OLB, Boise State
The Jaguars grab their LEO linebacker for Gus Bradley. Jacksonville could develop Lawrence for a year before turning to him to replace Chris Clemons.

  8. Seattle Seahawks: Joel Bitonio, G/OT, Nevada
The Seahawks need to improve the right side of their offensive line, and Bitonio could start at guard or tackle as a rookie. Sources have said that the world champs are high on Bitonio.

  9. Buffalo Bills: Troy Niklas, TE, Notre Dame
The Bills have to get some help for E.J. Manuel and bring in a play-maker for him. Buffalo needs a pass-receiving tight end and Niklas is a fit.

  10. Tennessee Titans: Jeremy Hill, RB, LSU
The Titans grab their replacement for Chris Johnson. Hill would be the power back with Dexter McCluster supplying the speed and third-down ability.

  11. New York Giants: Morgan Moses, OT, Virginia
The Giants could use more talent on their offensive line, and it was surprising that they passed on Zack Martin in the first round.

  12. St. Louis Rams: Lamarcus Joyner, CB, Florida State
After cutting Cortland Finnegan, the Rams need a cornerback to pair with Janoris Jenkins.

  13. Detroit Lions: Weston Richburg, C, Colorado State
The Lions land their long-term starter at center.

  14. Pittsburgh Steelers: Donte Moncrief, WR, Ole Miss
Pittsburgh land its big wide out for Big Ben. The Steelers have shown interest in Moncrief, plus it worked out well the last time they drafted a receiver from Ole Miss.

  15. Dallas Cowboys: Timmy Jernigan, DT, Florida State
The Cowboys passed on defensive line in the first round, but they’ll have to address their defensive front on Day 2.

  16. Baltimore Ravens: Cody Latimer, WR, Indiana
The Ravens could use a big receiver to pair with Torrey Smith in the long run.

  17. New York Jets: Jarvis Landry, WR, LSU
The Jets grab another receiver to help weaponize their quarterback. They’ve shown interest in Landry, plus his style of play suits Rex Ryan.

  18. Miami Dolphins: Xavier Su’a-Filo, G, UCLA
In my final seven-round mock, I had Miami taking JaWuan James in the second round. After that big reach for James on Thursday night, the Dolphins are fortunate to land a value like Su’a-Filo.

  19. Chicago Bears: Ra’Shede Hageman, DE/DT, Minnesota
The Bears land a big run-stuffer for the middle of their defense.

  20. Arizona Cardinals: Derek Carr, QB, Fresno State
The Cardinals grab their young understudy to Carson Palmer.

  21. Green Bay Packers: Jace Amaro, TE, Texas Tech
The Packers moved on from Jermichael Finley and could use another tight end for Aaron Rodgers to work with. I could see Green Bay trading up for Amaro.

  22. Philadelphia Eagles: Louis Nix, DT, Notre Dame
I had the Eagles taking Marcus Smith with this pick in my final seven-round mock, but they jumped the gun in the first. Philadelphia could still use a nose tackle.

  23. Cincinnati Bengals: Cyrus Kouandjio, OT, Alabama
Cincinnati lost Anthony Collins in free agency and could use a young talent to develop. The Bengals like linemen with size and athleticism, so Kouandjio fits the organization.

  24. San Francisco 49ers: Bashaud Breeland, CB, Clemson
The 49ers could use more talent in the secondary.

  25. San Diego Chargers: Jeremiah Attaochu, OLB, Georgia Tech
Tom Telesco has to improve the Chargers’ edge rush. San Diego has shown interest in Attaochu.

  26. New Orleans Saints: Marcus Martin, C, USC
The Saints need a long-term center, and Martin fits the type they like in the middle.

  27. Indianapolis Colts: Allen Robinson, WR, Penn State
The Colts need a long-term big receiver to pair with T.Y. Hilton. Reggie Wayne is just a short-term player at this point in his career, while Hakeem Nicks only signed a 1-year deal.

  28. Carolina Panthers: Davante Adams, WR, Fresno State
The Panthers need to draft multiple receivers and have shown a lot of interest in Adams.

  29. San Francisco 49ers: Trent Murphy, OLB, Stanford
The 49ers could use some pass-rushing depth given Aldon Smith’s situation.

  30. New England Patriots: Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Washington
The Patriots need another pass-receiving tight end. After losing Aaron Hernandez, New England really missed its tight end mismatches while Rob Gronkowski was injured.

  31. Denver Broncos: Scott Crichton, DE, Oregon State
Denver could use more help at defensive end. DeMarcus Ware was a nice signing, but it would make sense for the Broncos to add another end to pair with Ware. They’ve shown interest in Crichton.

  32. Seattle Seahawks: Ego Ferguson, DT, LSU
The Seahawks could use more talent at defensive tackle and are said to want a speedy three-technique.
