  1. Cleveland Browns: Antonio Garcia, OT, Troy
The Browns lost Alex Mack and Mitchell Schwartz last offseason, and they’ll need to replace both this offseason. They can address the right tackle spot with this selection by taking the rising Antonio Garcia.

  2. San Francisco 49ers: John Ross, WR, Washington
I don’t understand why the 49ers avoided addressing the receiver position until late in the 2016 NFL Draft. How did they not realize that they have such a huge need in that area? Perhaps the new front office will make amends for this mistake.

  3. Jacksonville Jaguars: Dan Feeney, G, Indiana
The Jaguars tried Luke Joeckel at guard, but it doesn’t appear as though he’s cutting it there either. They’ll have to spend an early selection on an upgrade. Dan Feeney won’t be able to teach his teammates much until he’s a veteran, but he would be a better option than Joeckel.

Pick change; previously Ethan Pocic, C/G

  4. Chicago Bears: Adoree Jackson, CB/KR, USC
The Bears have some promising young talent at cornerback, but they still need help at the position, and I can’t imagine them passing on a great prospect like Adoree Jackson in the second round.

Pick change; previously Sidney Jones, CB

  5. Los Angeles Rams: Curtis Samuel, WR, Ohio State
The Rams keep waiting for Brian Quick to do something, but it’s not happening. They need to find another weapon for Jared Goof. People in Los Angeles currently don’t care about the Rams, but perhaps there will be interest from three or four more people if the team selects a dynamic play-maker like Curtis Samuel.

  6. Los Angeles Chargers: T.J. Watt, LB, Wisconsin
The Chargers have mostly been using Joey Bosa on the defensive line, so they could stand to find another outside linebacker to play across from Melvin Ingram. T.J. Watt, the younger brother of J.J. Watt, could be chosen in the first round, so he provides good value here.

  7. New York Jets: JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, USC
Given all of the problems Brandon Marshall caused in the locker room, I can’t imagine him being back with the team next year. With that in mind, the Jets will need to find a No. 2 receiver to play across from Eric Decker.

  8. Carolina Panthers: D’Onta Foreman, RB, Texas
Jonathan Stewart is still a quality runner, but he turns 30 this March, so Carolina might envision someone like D’Onta Foreman as Cam Newton’s backfield partner for the next 8-10 years.

Pick change; previously Gareon Conley, CB

  9. Cincinnati Bengals: Dawuane Smoot, DE/OLB, Illinois
The Bengals don’t have a very good edge rush, as Carlos Dunlap is the only defensive end capable of putting consistent heat on opposing quarterbacks. Michael Johnson is a bust signing and must be upgraded.

Pick change; previously Jarrad Davis, LB

  10. New Orleans Saints: Jarrad Davis, LB, Florida
The Saints have tons of issues on defense. One happens to be at linebacker. I still can’t believe they signed James Laurinaitis. Did they not watch how horrible he was for the Rams? Seriously, what were they thinking? They can make amends by selecting a solid inside linebacker prospect early in the draft.

Pick change; previously Desmond King, CB

  11. Philadelphia Eagles: Zay Jones, WR, East Carolina
After watching Nelson Agholor drop everything in sight, the Eagles might want to target a receiver with great hands, and that would be Zay Jones, who dominated the Senior Bowl.

Pick change; previously Alvin Kamara, RB

  12. Buffalo Bills: Shelton Gibson, WR, West Virginia
The Bills spent their first-round pick on Mitch Trubisky, so they’ll have to surround their new quarterback with a weapon or a new blocker. Of the two, Shelton Gibson is the top prospect available, and he makes a ton of sense for Buffalo. Sammy Watkins has struggled to stay healthy, while Robert Woods is an underwhelming No. 2 option.

  13. Arizona Cardinals: DeMarcus Walker, DE/DT, Florida State
Calais Campbell will be a 31-year-old free agent entering next offseason. It goes without saying that the Cardinals will have to replace him if he leaves.

  14. Minnesota Vikings: Julie’n Davenport, OT, Bucknell
I’m sure that if the Vikings had the cap space, they would’ve used this pick to trade for Joe Thomas. Alas, they do not, so they can try to remedy their awful tackle situation by picking one at this juncture.

  15. Baltimore Ravens: Carroll Phillips, DE/OLB, Illinois
The Ravens struggled to get pressure on the quarterback most of the year. A part of the problem is that Elvis Dumervil and Terrell Suggs will be 33 and 34, respectively, by the 2017 NFL Draft. Some young blood will be needed on the edge.

Carroll Phillips is a first-round talent, but is expected to fall to Day 2 because of character issues. The Ravens have taken chances on troubled players before and have had success in doing so.

  16. Indianapolis Colts: Tim Williams, DE/OLB, Alabama
Tim Williams has Randy Gregory-type off-the-field concerns, but once again, new general manager Chris Ballard worked closely with Andy Reid, who had success taking chances on troubled players. There’s no doubt that Williams would improve Indianapolis’ poor pass rush.

Pick change; previously Dawuane Smoot, DE/OLB

  17. Washington Redskins: Obi Melifonwu, S, Connecticut
As mentioned in the first round, the Redskins need help at defensive end, inside linebacker and safety to shore up the middle of their defense. Obi Melifonwu, who had a terrific Senior Bowl, seems like the type of prospect the Redskins love.

Pick change; previously Justin Evans, S

  18. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Alvin Kamara, RB, Tennessee
Doug Martin has entered rehab, while Charles Sims didn’t exactly live up to expectations as a replacement. The Buccaneers will be looking for a new running back to at least pair with Sims.

Pick change; previously D’Onta Foreman, RB

  19. Denver Broncos: Christian McCaffrey, RB/WR, Stanford
Christian McCaffrey may slip because of his correct decision to sit out a postseason exhibition contest. However, John Elway played with McCaffrey’s father, and he needs a No. 2 running back in case C.J. Anderson gets hurt again.

  20. Cleveland Browns: Desmond King, S/CB, Iowa
The Browns fixed some of their issues on defense in the first round by selecting an edge rusher and a cornerback. Here’s something else for the secondary, as the Browns have some of the worst safeties in the NFL, so they need to make some upgrades.

Pick change; previously Justin Evans, S

  21. Detroit Lions: Gareon Conley, CB, Ohio State
The Lions have two terrific cornerbacks in Darius Slay and Nevin Lawson, but there’s very little depth behind the two. Plus, Lawson is entering his contract season.

Pick change; previously Fabian Moreau, CB

  22. Miami Dolphins: David Njoku, TE, Miami
It’s safe to say that the Dolphins haven’t exactly gotten what they had expected out of Jordan Cameron, though not all of that is his fault, given his concussion issues. Here’s a much-needed upgrade at tight end.

  23. New York Giants: Evan Engram, TE, Ole Miss
The Giants will want to select a blocker or a weapon for their new quarterback with this pick. Evan Engram, who has drawn comparisons to Jordan Reed, is the top offensive player available. He’d provide a big upgrade at tight end.

  24. Oakland Raiders: Carlos Watkins, DT, Clemson
Oakland’s defense improved as the season progressed, but there was always a big void in the middle of the defensive line. I imagine the Raiders will want to spend a high selection on a prospect who can generate some pressure in the interior.

  25. Houston Texans: Gerald Everett, TE, South Alabama
Whether the Texans go with Brock Osweiler again or take an early quarterback, they’ll have to find a new intermediate receiving threat for their quarterback.

  26. Seattle Seahawks: Forrest Lamp, OT, Western Kentucky
I’m not breaking any news here by saying the Seahawks have to upgrade the offensive line. They have a guy with barely any football experience playing left tackle, for crying out loud. Russell Wilson has great mobility, but even he needs better pass protection. Seattle would love Forrest Lamp falling to them toward the end of the second frame.

  27. Kansas City Chiefs: Nathan Peterman, QB, Pittsburgh
Andy Reid committed to Alex Smith for next season, but that doesn’t mean that he won’t spend an early-round selection on a quarterback to eventually take over for his mediocre starter.

Pick change; previously Nazair Jones, DE/DT

  28. Dallas Cowboys: Fabian Moreau, CB, UCLA
I’m interested to see what happens to Morris Claiborne this offseason. Claiborne had been a bust prior to 2016, but he was excellent prior to getting hurt. Will a team offer him a big contract? If so, Dallas will need a replacement cornerback.

Pick change; previously Tre’Davious White, CB

  29. Green Bay Packers: Jeremy McNichols, RB, Boise State
Ty Montgomery looked awesome at running back against the Bears, but how sustainable is that? And will Eddie Lacy continue to gain weight? There are lots of questions at running back for the Packers, who can solve them by selecting a talented player like Jeremy McNichols.

  30. Pittsburgh Steelers: Tre’Davious White, CB, LSU
This is a great value pick for the Steelers, as Jourdan Lewis is a steal at the end of Round 2. Besides, it’s not like they couldn’t use some depth at cornerback.

Pick change; previously Jourdan Lewis, CB

  31. Atlanta Falcons: Dion Dawkins, G/OT, Temple
The Falcons could stand to upgrade Chris Chester, the one liability that they currently possess on their offensive line.

Pick change; previously Dan Feeney, G

  32. New England Patriots: Jaleel Johnson, DT, Iowa
The Patriots cut Dominique Easley last offseason, but never found a replacement for him. They can do that in the early stages of the 2017 NFL Draft.
