It would have been nice to see how well the offense would have done if Mularkey called something other than out routes. Svitek should start at LT now since he showed off how terrible Baker is today and hopefully Reynolds gets rotated out of a starting job since he's been horrible at RG. At least they'll be getting Julio back after the bye and other Falcons can nurse their wounds during that time, and that Mughelli's injury isn't too serious, but I'm expecting him to miss the rest of the season. Sad to see.

Welp, I was right. Falcons are fine on the road if it's indoors.
Penalties left and right both ways. Crowd noise wasn't that much of a factor as Matt Ryan was able to run the no-huddle very effectively through it.

The Falcons looked like the better team all game really. I wonder if Walt takes the Falcons off of his overrated list.

@dude bro: We will have to agree to disagree. The game I saw was a slight lean to Panthers for almost three quarters. Cam Newton made two rookie critical errors, one right before the half, when on first and goal he tried to force a ball in traffic and got picked off. It WAS the so called Turning Point of the game. Third quarter arguably was even. Fourth quarter and yes the most important, was the Falcons. Even then however, Another Huge mistake by Newton and the game was over and Falcons scored in close again to close out the game for a 14 point victory. Anyway man, good luck this weekend.

I love Walt but I know when he's covering his ass.
If we're only going to talk about fractions of games, then the Falcons could have EASILY beaten the Packers because they were outplaying them for 2 quarters, right?
It just doesn't work that way. The Falcons kicked the Panther's ass throughout most of the second half. They won. Panthers couldn't even cover. No if ands or buts about it.

@dude bro: Yea, I hear you, but something still isn't quite right with the falcons this year. Or it could be the same as last year when somehow they masked their deficiencies. Saw their home game against Carolina and Walter was right, they EASILY could have lost that game. For almost three quarters they were being outplayed by a very bad defensive Panther team. With that said, unless the line goes down to -3 for Detroit, I will probably stay away.

Lions a bit over rated and Atlanta generally sucks on the road. If the line gets some how falls to -3 for the Lions, I'll take Detroit. Lions 27 Falcons 24. Give or take a point or two.
