Mustang1, Long suffering Bengal fan here too. But of course, aren't we all. Remember following their expansion draft in the Enquirer, and following their College Drafts in print too. Wasn't it Bob Johnson, a center from Tennessee, who was their first ever college draft pick?

Definitely take the under on 37. Raining in Jax now and likely will be windy and raining at game time. Has the makings for an ugly game. Would like to see the Bengals go to 3-2 to shut up all the naysayers. This game scares me though. We have never played well against the Jags and this will be a huge homefield disadvantage. And, @Mustang1, I promise we won't "beat the Panthers this week." We're playing the Jaguars. Right idea, wrong cat!

Another matchup that I don't trust for either side. However I do like the UNDER in this matchup. You teaser players for sure take a long hard look at teasing up and going UNDER. Cincy 17 Jack 14.

Too bad nobody cares about these teams. Seriously? Maybe the Bengals when they had Ochocince, but now? And Jacksonville = below average mediocrity, and their coach sucks......GO PACK!

I am writing as a Bengals fan and the early indications are that they are being backed as an underdog.
I like to back Cincinnati as an underdog, because they suck as a favourite, but our record against the Jaguars is pretty pathetic.
I think the Bengals fully deserve to have their defensive efforts praised up to this point, so handling the rookie Blaine Gabbert shouldn't be a problem, right? Well, yes I can only see the Jaguars scoring a maximum of 17 - 20 points, so Cincinnati will be in the game, even if they fall behind.
I also don't see a comparison in the range of weapons available to the two QB's. The Jags have MJD, (who is a far, far better back than Cedric Benson) and that's about it. The Bengals have the O-line, AJ Green and Gresham who is playing close to a Pro Bowl level.
I just think Cincinnati will control the clock, keep it to a low scoring affair and grind out a win.
Give me the points and I'll have 3 units. Cincinnati's poor record against the Jags prevents me from making it a 4 - 5 unit play.
