I even teased the Panthers with the Falcons due to the lack of faith in Walt's ability to make 7 unit suggestions. I read Walt's picks most of the time mainly just to hear an additional opinion but anyone who puts a single dollar where this guy does is an absolute imbecile.

Walter is getting his mojo back. Had a hard time with last weeks Patriot pick, of course Walt was right on. Then he put 3 units on Denver against the Jets and won... outright. Now putting 7 units on a 2 and 7 team on the road!! Not to mention home team is 6 and 3. Going to put Panthers in a HUGE teaser and pray that Walt is still hot this Sunday. My guess is Detroit anywhere from 7 to 17 points. Good luck Walter!! If nothing else your play of the months are mind boggling!!

Okay Walt you still have time to change this pick, its wrong and I will tell you why. #1 what the hell is post bye weirdness, how about a decent quarterback that is "fed up" with a terible supporting cast and is tired, frustrated and disillusioned with his team. On the other hand you have a team with a decent record playing its most important game of the year, that with awin puts it right on top again. Along with the weather, home crowd and a far superior talent. You have the Lions by at least 7.

Gosh the Lion's fans are really sensitive ! I believe Walt picked the Panthers + 7 as his bet. I certainly agree that the Lions are overrated and that from a betting standpoint the + 7 would put me on the Carolina bandwagon.
Attention Burley : I'm not certain that the Lions holding Forte in check was any major accomplishment. By the time the Bears offense got the ball in the second half the game was over and it was time to run off clock and try to stay away from injuries. Unlike the Lions who are more like a playground bully that enjoys running up scores.
As far as Walt picking the game I know he put Carolina 24-20 but even if it is the Lions 24-20 he gets the money which is what betting is all about !

Take any teams number 1 and 2 Rb out of there lineup and see how they do! Lions Have 3 losses this year being a last second 4th and goal TD from 49ers in which the Lions were winning all game..A loss to a good Atlanta team without best along with a loss to the 6-3 Bears on the road without Best and Staffords broken finger...Lions gave the bears that game as the D only gave up 1td which was set up off a turnover and a short field. Lions just killed Denver the same team that has won 3 out of 4. If you would tell me the Lions would be 6-3 playing a game at home vs panthers I would take that all day..If the Lions are in any other Div. in football there in 1st place.....RELAX!!

One thing Walt didn't mention was that the Panthers offense is ranked #1 in the NFL on the road averaging an insane 465 ypg. However they are also 0-3 on the road, but when you put up those numbers on the road you're bound to win one. With all that being said I expect this game to be like many of the other games for the Panthers this year; they will play tough and put up some great numbers but will fall short.

Having been Jail Sexed by the Bears last week, I expect the Lions not to take this game for granted. Walt's assessment that the Lions are overrated and the Panthers are underrated is reasonable and I tend to agree, but the Panthers winning as 7 point road dogs? Ridiculous Walt. Take the Panthers and the points, as the blue print for how to beat the Lions is now common knowledge. I think the Panthers come in with a good defensive game plan and keep the Lions from scoring at will, but their offense just won't be able to keep up. Guenther Cunningham is going to keep Newton confused all game, will probably get a pick or two and have heavy pressure. It is also worth taking note that Matt Forte who is having an elite season was largely held in check last week by the Lions' stop unit. Don't expect big things from Stewart this week. Take the under, because I expect this to be a low scoring affair, and likely a pretty good game. The Panthers seem to lose close games to superior teams just about every time.

Holy crap. You're delusional if you think the Panthers will go into Ford Field and beat a Lions team that is pissed off. Remember when you picked the Broncos to beat Detroit three weeks ago? How did that work out for you? Cam Newton is scary, for sure, but the rest of the Panthers are not. The Lions have way too much talent to lose this game. I agree that the Lions run game is terrible, but it is not because Javid Best is out. The Lions rushing attack was anemic even with Best. You also noted the fracture to Stafford's finger. He fractured it prior to the Denver game, and he looked pretty crisp. Look, I'm a bit of a homer, no doubt. But anyone who looks at this game objectively realizes the Lions will take Newton and the Panthers behind the wood shed. You have been, and always will be down on the Lions. I understand why, but you definitely haven't given them enough credit this season. They have a lot of talent. Lions win and cover, 27-17.
