@nc0gnet0 where was that "best defensive line in football" today? Don't let the stats fool you. The reason they give up so many pass yards is because its the only option. In other words your team becomes one dimensional. It took Stafford 50 throws to get to under 300 yds.

Ugly game but a playoff preview from 2 franchises on the rise from ugly places. If Detroit can't find balance they will have a tough time in the playoffs.

Love the site Walter but I must point out that Spievey didn't even play on Monday night so I'm not sure how you noticed he sucked. He's played pretty well since converting from CB. His back up, Wendling, filled in nicely anyway. As for the run D, it does make me a little nervous. However, they make BIG stops when needed. We stopped Dallas 3 times inside the 5yd line and stuffed the bears on back to back 3rd and 4th & 1 plays. Only given up 1 rushing TD on the year too. Our D will be fine. I was at the MNF game and the crowd noise was deafening. It WILL be a factor once again.
The Lions O, even though it starts slow, will not be stopped. Too many weapons for a talent weak SF secondary to deal with. Especially if they blitz and leave man coverage on guys. Best will see screens and dump offs to slow the rush and then just when they relax the coverage on Megatron. BOOM, over the top. And none of the midget DB's for SF will have a chance.
Sorry for the rant. Can't sleep, too excited.
