Sunday Smackdown: Texans at Bengals

I think Walt has missed out on a very important factor in this game. The Bengals have to win to stay in position for the final wild card spot.
I know about them losing badly last week etc and Houston wanting to give that "100% effort" as Matt Schuab is out.
The Texans are the ones who have a lot more room for error, they can afford to lose another 2 games still safe in the knowledge they will lift the AFC South crown.
The Bengals don't have any room for error. What Cincinnati has shown over the year is they perform with their backs up against the wall. Just look at all those 4th quarter come backs.
I think it will be a closely fought game, but the difference for me is that AJ Green is playing and Andre Johnson isn't. Jonathon Joseph will be going up against the rookie sensation and even though I have a huge soft spot for JJ, I have seen him really struggle plenty of times against taller WR's.
For me, the bengals win a close one 20-17 with AJ getting the winning score in the last few minutes.
With the spread at -3, I'm leaving this alone as it is too close to call.

I don't think the texans will give up more than 14 to the Bengals unless there are some serious miscues by the offense or special teams.

Having said that I like the Texans chances to score 14+. The defense will cause a turnover that gift wraps at least a fg for the texans and I like the run/play action to get 2 tds...

It's been a few weeks since I ventured to see Walts picks on the Texans. He picked against the Texans darn near each week early on and lost every time. Guess he finally jumped on the bandwagon.

I'm SHOCKED the Texans are +3 dogs. I took the moneyline +130.

Yes, I'm a Texans fan, but not homer. The Texans are playing for a chance to clinch the AFC South assuming the Saints beat the Titans. This defense is hungry and ruthless. Johnathan Joseph will return to Cincy for the 1st time and shut down A.J Green. Connor Barwin who has 8 sacks returns to Cincy where he played his college ball. Don't forget about Kevin Walter as well.

Bengals have shown their true colors once they played better opponents.

Excellent game to watch. To close to call. Either team by 3. Might go to overtime. Gun to head, I'll say Cincy 27 Houston 24. Bengals HAVE to have this one and every one from this point on.

If Yates can do in Cincy what he did at home vs. Atlanta it will be enough for the win. Texans won't have a boisterous hometown crowd to help the defense. I've heard from people that attended it was louder than a rock concert.
