Despite what most people think about Matt Ryan's season so far in comparison to last season, he's still probably going to set career highs in passing TDs and yards. His QB rating this season is better than his career rating.

He's definitely progressing. He's playing better teams this season too. I was impressed with him last week. Really, in the no-huddle I can't think of any QB playing better than him right now.
Maybe it's their offensive coordinator. 3 receivers on curl routes 3 downs in a row can't help a QB much.

The line is up to 14. Not too sure about Atl. Now. Double digit dogs are tough to beat. Any reason to stay with Atl???

@ Dude: I stand corrected. I sincerely hope that the Falcons can do better than 9 and 7 and still make the playoffs. So far I must disagree with Jerome about Jones. Rarely at the wide receiver position has it been worth "giving away the store" on draft pick day. Also hurts that for a young guy, he seems to get a lot of leg injuries. This team WAS one or two players away on defense from making a serious run this season. I must admit that I am also not sold on Matt Ryan long term. I hope I'm wrong about him, we shall see.

First Chuckster, no the Falcons don't have to win out. They can even drop 2 games (9-7 final record) and still probably make the playoffs.
The Falcons hold the tiebreaker over the Giants, Cowboys and Lions. Both the Giants and Cowboys are 7-6, so one of them has to go at least 9-7 unless they tie. The Bears are really the only team that are a threat to the Falcons chances of making the wildcard, and without Hanie or Forte I doubt they go 9-7.

Secondly, I'm shocked Walt is betting on the Falcons. This rarely ever happens.

I'm a huge FALCON fan for life and i know this season's been alot diff.then last season.But in both cases in hate the fact that we play good-D up until third down....I mean for-real we put teams on 3rd.&long and cant find ways to simply get the defense off the field....Then when the defense is playing good ball Coach Smith or the coaching staff as a whole doesn't trust in the defense to make huge plays in the ball game to seal a win for our team....I know that our no-huddle is knw-where to be found this season which was a huge factor in our winning 13-3 season last year COME on Mannnnn.The picks given up in the daft for JONES was werth it.We hav to look at big free-agents for our corners and free safty positions case we simply give up to many big plays down the field.....

Another sloppy performance on the road for the Falcons.Yet squeezed by with a second half meltdown by Cam Newton. Falcons are most definetly a homer team for the past few years. Falcons HAVE to win the rest for a wild card, so I'll go Falcons 30 Jags 17.
