I don't think Simmons or Ingram is some kind of franchise savior. Simmons is a great fit as a 4 in the modern NBA though because he can guard inside and on the perimeter, rebound, handle the ball like a guard, and score inside. Even if he never develops a reliable jumper, he is still going to be a very valuable player. I see him as a better version of Draymond Green who can create offense on his own much better than Green.

By the way, the second-annual Walter/Joker Annual Challenge is on, as I'll be competing with the Joker's College Picks. We each pick five games and see who does the best each week.
Colorado (3-2) at Kansas (4-1) Line: Kansas by 14. Saturday, 12:30 ET
Tough spot for the Jayhawks, as they just escaped death at Ames, needing a valiant comeback to beat Iowa State on the road. That'll catch up to them here against a game Colorado squad that beat West Virginia a few weeks ago.
Purdue (2-3) at Ohio State (5-1) Line: Ohio State by 19. Saturday, 3:30 ET
Ohio State really doesn't impress me. They get "debacled" by USC, barely escape Troy State, allow a billion fourth-quarter points to Minnesota and nearly lose to pedestrian Wisconsin. The Buckeyes will definitely win this game, but they'll likely sleepwalk through it after a tough battle in Madison. Purdue's offense is primed for a backdoor cover if needed, especially with the help from crooked Big Ten officials.
Prediction: Ohio State 24, Purdue 15 Purdue +19 (1 Unit) -- Correct; +$100 Ohio State 16, Purdue 3
Arkansas (2-3) at Auburn (4-2) Line: Auburn by 18. Saturday, 5:00 ET
Huge rivalries are usually close. That would explain why three of the past four times either of these teams was a double-digit underdog in this rivalry, the favorite failed to cover. Auburn's offense sucks, while the Razorbacks did a solid job moving the chains against Florida last week, though they failed to score enough for a cheap Gators cover at the end.
Penn State (6-0) at Wisconsin (3-2) Line: Penn State by 5.5. Saturday, 8:00 ET
I have no respect for Wisconsin. I don't think they're any good. Even their quarterback's name is "Average." OK, Evridge... close enough. The Badgers barely beat Fresno State, struggled with Marshall early on and lost to craptastic Michigan.
Prediction: Penn State 31, Wisconsin 14 Penn State -5.5 (2 Units) -- Correct; +$200 Penn State 48, Wisconsin 7
Tulane (2-3) at UTEP (2-3) Line: UTEP by 4.5. Saturday, 9:00 ET
After losing to Dr. Wily and the University of Buffalo to kick off the season (they used Atomic Fire), UTEP has rebounded winning its past two games. However, they were in a dog fight last weekend, barely scraping by Southern Miss as 8-point road underdogs. In the wake of that grueling victory, I just don't see how they can get enough energy up for a solid Tulane squad that came close to beating Alabama and East Carolina earlier in the year.
