NCAA Football Weekly Predictions
Week 6

Note: Well, I nailed my two biggest plays last week. My second-half picks also produced a profit. As for my other selections? Meh. For legality purposes, this Web site does not promote or advocate gambling.

Marshall (0-4) at Memphis (1-3)
Line: Memphis by 3.

Tuesday, 8:00 ET

OK, I'll admit it. I barely know anything about these two teams. Well, that's not true... I know one thing. The Tigers will be playing their hearts out tonight after Taylor Bradford, the team's 21-year-old defensive lineman, was shot to death Sunday night. Memphis is dedicating this game to him. This is my October college football pick of the month.

Note: The rest of my picks will be up by Wednesday evening.

Prediction: Memphis 34, Marshall 7
Memphis -3 (6 Units - October College Football Pick of the Month) -- Push; -$60
Memphis 24, Marshall 21

Kentucky (5-0) at South Carolina (4-1)
Line: South Carolina by 3.5.

Thursday, 8:00 ET

I pushed my October Pick of the Month, so does that give me the right to choose another one? What are the rules here? I'm so confused.

In case you haven't figured it out, I'm going to keep taking Kentucky until Vegas gives them the proper respect they deserve. The Wildcats should be favored. I love getting the points with the better quarterback in this matchup.

Prediction: Kentucky 34, South Carolina 27
Kentucky +3.5 (3 Units - Money Pick) -- Incorrect; -$330
South Carolina 38, Kentucky 23

Wisconsin (5-0) at Illinois (4-1)
Line: Illinois by 2.5.

Saturday, 12:00 ET

Illinois favored over Wisconsin? Look at Vegas not giving the Badgers any respect. I like it - I think Wisconsin is too slow and very overrated. I also think the oddsmaker is trying to tell us something here. Apparently, most people aren't getting the message, as 89 percent of the public is on the visitor. I won't be part of that.

Prediction: Illinois 24, Wisconsin 17
Illinois -2.5 (2 Units - Money Pick) -- Correct; +$200
Illinois 31, Wisconsin 26

Bowling Green (3-1) at Boston College (5-0)
Line: Boston College by 20.

Saturday, 12:00 ET

Boston College is one of the top teams in the nation. I'll take them over almost anyone. The thing is, they've been lazy the past two weeks, failing to cover against Army and UMass. Bowling Green is a talented squad, so I think they can hang the number.

Prediction: Boston College 24, Bowling Green 10
Bowling Green +20 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110
Boston College 55, Bowling Green 24

Vanderbilt (3-1) at Auburn (2-1)
Line: Auburn by 7.5.

Saturday, 12:30 ET

Auburn's done. They put too much stock in the Florida game and played way over their heads. They have nothing left.

Prediction: Vanderbilt 17, Auburn 13
Vanderbilt +7.5 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110
Auburn 35, Vanderbilt 7

Wake Forest (2-2) at Duke (1-4)
Line: Wake Forest by 7.5.

Saturday, 1:00 ET

Here's another game where we're getting the superior quarterback as an underdog. Duke has played extremely well recently, nearly knocking off Miami in the Orange Bowl, thanks to Thaddeus Lewis, who has thrown for 1,200 yards, 11 touchdowns and only five picks this season.

Prediction: Wake Forest 24, Duke 20
Duke +7.5 (3 Units - Money Pick) -- Correct; +$300
Wake Forest 41, Duke 36

Oklahoma (4-1) vs. Texas (4-1)
Line: Oklahoma by 11.

Saturday, 3:30 ET

Remember when Oklahoma owned this rivalry? Texas has won the last two meetings, which gives Colt "4-Interception" McCoy an advantage in this contest. I don't get why Oklahoma is favored by this much. Well, actually, I do understand... The public sees the Sooners as a much better team. That's why 90 percent of the action is on them. I'll take the points.

Prediction: Texas 28, Oklahoma 20
Texas +11 (3 Units - Money Pick) -- Correct; +$300
Oklahoma 28, Texas 21

Iowa (2-3) at Penn State (3-2)
Line: Penn State by 9.5.

Saturday, 3:30 ET

Last week, I said Anthony Morelli is too mentally incapable of winning important games on the road. He'll triumph over Iowa with a blank stare across his face, but he won't cover. The Nittany Lions are too offensively challenged to cover 9.5.

Prediction: Penn State 20, Iowa 16
Iowa +9.5 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110
Penn State 27, Iowa 7

Florida (4-1) at LSU (5-0)
Line: Florida by 8.5.

Saturday, 8:00 ET

Ummm... didn't this happen last year? Didn't Florida lose to Auburn and slay LSU? I know, I know, some Gators are missing, but so is JaMarcus Russell. In fact, Russell is the reason I love Florida in this matchup. Well, not Russell; more like his absence. I don't like Matt Flynn one bit. This is the third game this week where we're getting points with the superior quarterback. Tim Tebow will lead his Gators to victory in Baton Rouge.

Prediction: Florida 20, LSU 17
Florida +8.5 (4 Units - Double Money Pick) -- Correct; +$400
LSU 28, Florida 24
