Prospect Summary:

Jackson was a top recruit coming out of high school, and he landed at USC. In his debut season, he had 32 tackles with three passes defended in 2023. For the 2024 season, Jackson transferred to Alabama and did a good job as the replacement for Terrion Arnold. In 2024, Jackson had 51 tackles with seven passes defended and two interceptions. In his final collegiate season, Jackson did not look the same and had a disappointing season. He was not a shutdown corner to blanket receivers. Jackson had 38 tackles with one pass broken up and zero interceptions in his final season.

With his skill set, Jackson has the physical tools to play in the NFL. Jackson has quality size with length and strength to match up against big receivers. He is a better fit in a scheme that employs more press man and zone coverage. Jackson looks very natural playing press-man coverage and staying in phase with receivers running along the sideline. While he is not fast, Jackson has a nice straight-line burst to close in zone coverage. Jackson is also a quality run defender and a willing tackler. He shows zero hesitation to come downhill and fly into the box. As a run defender, Jackson should be a solid contributor in the NFL.

Jackson has some stiffness and lacks the speed to run with pro speed receivers. The lack of speed and twitch show up when Jackson plays off-man coverage, as he will give up separation to receivers coming out of their break. Thus, Jackson looks more like a backup cornerback with the potential to possibly grow into a starter role.

In the 2026 NFL Draft, Jackson looks like a mid-round pick. Check out my latest 2026 NFL Mock Draft to see where Jackson is projected.

Prospect Comparison:

Jalyn Armour-Davis. Jackson reminds me of Armour-Davis coming out of Alabama. They are similar players with their strengths and limitations.
