Prospect Summary:

Concepcion started out his collegiate career at N.C. State and quickly established himself as a dangerous playmaker. In 2023, he had 71 catches for 839 yards with 10 touchdowns while also carrying the ball 41 times for 320 yards. He had a respectable 2024 season (53-460-6 receiving, 19-36-2 rushing) before deciding to enter the transfer portal. In 2025, Concepcion was a dynamic playmaker for Texas A&M as he caught 61 passes for 919 yards with nine touchdowns. He had 10 carries for 75 yards and a touchdown. He returned an average of 17.5 yards per punt return with two punts returned for touchdowns.

As a receiver, Concepcion is impressive. His speed and playmaking skills with the ball in his hands eclipse the fact that he is a really talented wideout. He runs good routes and consistently uses his speed to get separation. Concepcion is very dangerous on quick slants and running go routes down the sideline. When the ball is in the air, Concepcion is very adept at tracking it and plays the ball well in the air. He high points the ball and times his hands well to make catches over defensive backs. Concepcion has soft hands and naturally catches the ball. Concepcion is an aggressive receiver and isn’t afraid of contact.

What really sets Concepcion apart is that he is very dangerous with the ball in his hands. He has excellent vision to weave around defenders and uses his speed to rip off yards in chunks. He has quick feet, the ability to stop-start and stutter-step, and a strong frame to run through arm tackles. When the ball hits Concepcion on the run, he is a big problem for defenders as he is tough to grab in the open field with his shifty moves. Concepcion has enough speed to run away from defenders and take a catch at a distance. Concepcion can take carries out of the backfield with dangerous ability to hurt defenses as a runner.

On top of being a good receiver, Concepcion is a dangerous returner who could contribute on special teams. Concepcion could line up as an outside and slot receiver in the NFL.

In the 2026 NFL Draft, Concepcion looks like a second-rounder with a shot at sneaking into the first round.

Prospect Comparison:

Deebo Samuel. Concepcion reminds me of Samuel at South Carolina. They each were gritty playmakers with dangerous ability with the ball in their hands. As a pro, I think Concepcion could be a similar style player to Samuel.
