2014 Fantasy Football Stock Report – Week of July 7
JULY 14
Dwayne Bowe, WR, Chiefs 
Dwayne Bowe has reportedly looked fantastic in OTAs, thanks to an improved workout regimen this offseason. Unfortunately, his stats will never be maximized as long as Alex Smith is his quarterback.
Lance Dunbar, RB, Cowboys 
Lance Dunbar’s role won’t increase much if/when DeMarco Murray goes down, per ESPN Dallas. Instead, Joseph Randle and Ryan Williams would compete for the early-down work.
JULY 13
Martavis Bryant, WR, Steelers The Steelers have discussed utilizing Martavis Bryant in the red zone. It’s hard to trust any fantasy rookie receiver, especially one who was chosen in the fourth round, but someone has to replace Jerricho Cotchery’s 10 touchdowns, and the 6-foot-4 Bryant has the frame to do it.
Frank Gore, RB, 49ers Frank Gore didn’t do anything, but stud guard Alex Boone is looking like he won’t be reporting to training camp on time. He may eventually join the team, but there’s a chance Gore’s blocking won’t be as good this season.
JULY 12
Jarrett Boykin, WR, Packers Davante Adams has struggled with drops in OTAs. Richard Rodgers may win the starting tight end job, but he’s a rookie. This is great news for Jarrett Boykin, who played well when given the chance in 2013.
JULY 11
Andre Johnson, WR, Texans Andre Johnson told the Texans that he wants to play for another team, according to Ian Rapoport. Johnson will ultimately report to Houston, but he’s going to keep missing workouts, which doesn’t bode well for his 2014 prospects.
JULY 10
Bishop Sankey, RB, Titans It’s a slow news day, so I’ll post something Charlie discussed in his rumor mill a few weeks ago. The Titans are very high on Bishop Sankey because of his ability on third downs. They took him before all of the other running backs in the draft for that reason. That means that Sankey will be on the field frequently. Whether he can run well remains to be seen, but he’ll at least be given plenty of opportunities.
JULY 9
Aaron Dobson, WR, Patriots Aaron Dobson reportedly has a good chance of being ready for training camp after coming off foot surgery. Dobson had some nice outings before he got hurt last year, so he could be a solid fantasy producer this season.
Kyle Rudolph, TE, Vikings Kyle Rudolph has spent lots of time watching tape of Jordan Cameron. With Norv Turner as his offensive coordinator, Rudolph figures to post huge numbers like Turner’s other tight ends have done over the years.
JULY 8
Johnny Manziel, QB, Browns Days after being asked to tone down his act, Johnny Manziel was photographed rolling money in a bathroom in a Las Vegas club. Manziel clearly is not taking his profession seriously, and if he keeps going down this road, he’ll be out of the league in a few years, and he’ll no longer have any money to roll. In the meantime, it’s now hard to imagine Manziel winning the starting job right away.
JULY 7
Josh Gordon, WR, Browns Josh Gordon was arrested for a DWI this weekend and was then bailed out by a worthless convict. A genius move on Gordon’s part, given that he’s awaiting his suspension. The Browns are now reportedly believing that Gordon will ever play for them, so the stud wideout is borderline undraftable at this point.
