AUG. 23
Chris Johnson, RB, Jets 
Rex Ryan told the media that he doesn’t believe one player will carry the load for the Jets. Johnson is going to split touches with Chris Ivory, so he’s pretty much a waste of a pick because he’s going way too early in drafts.
Johnny Manziel, QB, Browns Mike Pettine has discussed the possibility that 2014 could be a redshirt season for Johnny Manziel. There was already no reason to draft Manziel.
AUG. 22
Knowshon Moreno, RB, Dolphins 
Knowshon Moreno will play Saturday in the team’s third preseason game. Moreno is back from his knee injury, though he could be too far behind Lamar Miller at this point.
Markus Wheaton, WR, Steelers Ben Roethlisberger talked up Markus Wheaton, saying the second-year receiver will surprise people this year. He’s been starting across from Antonio Brown the entire offseason.
AUG. 21
Le’Veon Bell, RB, Steelers Le’Veon Bell was arrested for possession of marijuana and DUI on Wednesday. Bell might be suspended for this, though that may come in 2015. Still, it’s not a good sign that he’s not focusing on football with the season coming up so soon.
LeGarrette Blount, RB, Steelers LeGarrette Blount was arrested for possession of marijuana Wednesday. Blount has a troubled past and could be suspended at some point. Considering how long the NFL drags its feel with things like this, Blount could be penalized after he retires.
Johnny Manziel, QB, Browns Brian Hoyer has been named the starting quarterback for the Browns. Johnny Manziel, meanwhile, continues to struggle with the team’s playbook. Maybe he shouldn’t have rolled so many $20s in shady bathrooms. For more on how much Manziel sucks, check out the Rookie Quarterback Rankings.
Brandon Marshall, WR, Bears Brandon Marshall will fly to New York each Tuesday to be a part of Inside the NFL on Showtime this season. This has to sting for Marshall owners. Flying around may not hurt him initially, but the jet lag will add up, and Marshall could have a poor finish to his 2014 season. He’s making a huge mistake, and the Bears can’t be happy.
LeSean McCoy, RB, Eagles LeSean McCoy has a “small version” of turf toe that he’s dealing with. Chip Kelly said it’s not a big deal, but with the top three running backs so closely bunched together, I think you almost have to go Jamaal Charles and Adrian Peterson over McCoy. I might even consider Eddie Lacy as the third player off the board.
AUG. 20
Montee Ball, RB, Broncos Montee Ball is back to doing individual drills following his appendectomy. He figures to be ready for Week 1, so he should be drafted at the beginning of the second round in most formats.
Odell Beckham, WR, Giants Odell Beckham suffered a setback with his hamstring Monday, which isn’t unusual for players who try to come back too early from such injuries. It’ll be difficult for Beckham to contribute early, especially with Eli Manning struggling. He should not be drafted in 12-team leagues.
AUG. 19
Ka’Deem Carey, RB, Bears Ka’Deem Carey appears to have lost the No. 2 running back job to Shaun Draughn, according to Michael C. Wright of ESPN Chicago.
Bishop Sankey, RB, Titans Shonn Greene reinjured the knee he’s had two surgeries on in the past year. It was just a hyperextension, but it’s definitely good news for Bishop Sankey owners.
Tre Mason, RB, Rams Jeff Fisher noted that Tre Mason struggled in pass protection thus far during the preseason. Mason won’t see much action until he improves this aspect of his game. He’s not worth a draft pick.
