Fantasy Football Week 2 Rankings – Running Backs PPR

To differentiate between all the “Start ‘Ems” on my Fantasy Football Start Em, Sit Em page, you can check out the Weekly Fantasy Football Rankings, so you can figure out whom to start between Player X and Player Y.

Below are my fantasy RB rankings and a set of links for my positional Weekly NFL Fantasy Football Rankings. Keep in mind that this list is for this week only; not the entire rest of the season.

The rankings are based on a PPR scoring system. Each player has Walterfootball.com’s projected stats and standard scoring points.

  1. Christian McCaffrey, RB, 49ers (at Saints)- 29 Points
110 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Enjoy Christian McCaffrey while he’s healthy. The Saints can’t stop anything.

  2. Derrick Henry, RB, Ravens (vs. Browns)- 27 Points
160 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Derrick Henry will be looking to redeem himself.

  3. James Cook, RB, Bills (at Jets)- 21 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Jets are notoriously poor against the run.

  4. Kyren Williams, RB, Rams (at Titans)- 21 Points
100 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Tennessee surrendered a bunch of rushing yards last week.

  5. Chase Brown, RB, Bengals (vs. Jaguars)- 20 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
This is a far better matchup for Chase Brown.

  6. Bijan Robinson, RB, Falcons (at Vikings)- 20 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Bijan Robinson will have another great performance this week.

  7. Breece Hall, RB, Jets (vs. Bills)- 20 Points
90 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
So much for splitting touches 50-50. Breece Hall looked great and will be battling a defense that was just trampled by Derrick Henry.

  8. Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Lions (vs. Bears)- 19 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Bears figure to be weaker against the run than the Packers.

  9. Omarion Hampton, RB, Chargers (at Raiders)- 18 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Omarion Hampton handled most of the workload in Week 1.

  10. De'Von Achane, RB, Dolphins (vs. Patriots)- 18 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
De’Von Achane will be productive no matter what.

  11. Saquon Barkley, RB, Eagles (at Chiefs)- 18 Points
90 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Kansas City is dominant against the run, but you’re obviously not sitting Saquon Barkley.

  12. Ashton Jeanty, RB, Raiders (vs. Chargers)- 18 Points
90 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Denzel Perryman could be out, which would open things up for Ashton Jeanty.

  13. Alvin Kamara, RB, Saints (vs. 49ers)- 18 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Alvin Kamara figures to regress as the season goes on, but he should do well in this game.

  14. Bucky Irving, RB, Bucs (at Texans)- 17 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Bucky Irving’s workload will continue to stay high, but the matchup is difficult.

  15. James Conner, RB, Cardinals (vs. Panthers)- 17 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
James Conner said he’s going to share the workload with Trey Benson this year.

  16. Chuba Hubbard, RB, Panthers (at Cardinals)- 16 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Panthers will be playing from behind, so this is not ideal.

  17. Zach Charbonnet, RB, Seahawks (at Steelers)- 16 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Zach Charbonnet is seeing more touches than Kenneth Walker, and Pittsburgh couldn’t stop the run last week.

  18. D'Andre Swift, RB, Bears (at Lions)- 15 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Lions aren’t as good against the run.

  19. Jonathan Taylor, RB, Colts (vs. Broncos)- 15 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Jonathan Taylor has lost his touches at the 1-yard line, which is not ideal.

  20. Josh Jacobs, RB, Packers (vs. Redskins)- 15 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Redskins put the clamps on Tyrone Tracy last week, but Josh Jacobs has a better chance to be productive.

  21. Jaylen Warren, RB, Steelers (vs. Seahawks)- 15 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
Jaylen Warren has a fine matchup this week.

  22. Javonte Williams, RB, Cowboys (vs. Giants)- 14 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Javonte Williams won’t fall into the end zone twice each week, but he’s the unquestioned starter.

  23. Tony Pollard, RB, Titans (vs. Rams)- 13 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.
It’ll be difficult for Tony Pollard to do much versus the Rams.

  24. R.J. Harvey, RB, Broncos (at Colts)- 12 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
R.J. Harvey saw far fewer carries than J.K. Dobbins.

  25. TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Patriots (at Dolphins)- 12 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.
TreVeyon Henderson will do some damage on third downs and will work into the early-down role.

  26. Travis Etienne, RB, Jaguars (at Bengals)- 11 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
Travis Etienne had an electric game last week, but he’s still difficult to trust.

  27. Tyrone Tracy, RB, Giants (at Cowboys)- 10 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
Tyrone Tracy won’t do much running if the Giants are in a deficit, as expected.

  28. J.K. Dobbins, RB, Broncos (at Colts)- 9 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
The Colts are decent against the run.

  29. Dylan Sampson, RB, Browns (at Ravens)- 9 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  30. Ollie Gordon, RB, Dolphins (vs. Patriots)- 9 Points
    30 Rushing Yards, 1 TD.

  31. Austin Ekeler, RB, Redskins (at Packers)- 9 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  32. Kenneth Walker, RB, Seahawks (at Steelers)- 9 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
Clearly, the inferior running back on the Seahawks.

  33. David Montgomery, RB, Lions (vs. Bears)- 8 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
David Montgomery took a big hit with Ben Johnson leaving.

  34. Nick Chubb, RB, Texans (vs. Buccaneers)- 8 Points
60 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.
    Not worth starting regardless.

  35. Aaron Jones, RB, Vikings (vs. Falcons)- 8 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.
The Falcons clamped down on Bucky Irving last week.

  36. Rachaad White, RB, Bucs (at Texans)- 7 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  37. Isiah Pacheco, RB, Chiefs (vs. Eagles)- 7 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.
Why didn’t Isiah Pacheco regain his job?

  38. Rico Dowdle, RB, Panthers (at Cardinals)- 7 Points
20 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  39. Trey Benson, RB, Cardinals (vs. Panthers)- 6 Points
    60 Rushing Yards.

  42. Braelon Allen, RB, Jets (vs. Bills)- 6 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 10 Receiving Yards.
Braelon Allen will be handling short-yardage opportunities this year.

  43. Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, Patriots (at Dolphins)- 6 Points
40 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.
Rhamondre Stevenson will eventually lose the early-down work to TreVeyon Henderson.

  44. Jacory Croskey-Merritt, RB, Redskins (at Packers)- 6 Points
    60 Rushing Yards.
The Packers just clamped down on Detroit’s rushing attack.

  45. Woody Marks, RB, Texans (vs. Buccaneers)- 6 Points
10 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  46. Jordan Mason, RB, Vikings (vs. Falcons)- 6 Points
    60 Rushing Yards.

  47. Jerome Ford, RB, Browns (at Ravens)- 5 Points
    50 Rushing Yards.
Jerome Ford won’t be starting for too long.

  48. Justice Hill, RB, Ravens (vs. Browns)- 5 Points
30 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.

  49. Kenneth Gainwell, RB, Steelers (vs. Seahawks)- 5 Points
