Domani Jackson Prospect Preview

By Charlie Campbell

Career Recap:

Jackson was a top recruit coming out of high school, and he landed at USC. In his debut season, he had 32 tackles with three passes defended in 2023. For the 2024 season, Jackson transferred to Alabama and did a good job as the replacement for Terrion Arnold. In 2024, Jackson had 51 tackles with seven passes defended and two interceptions.

2025 Season Outlook:

The best games to watch Jackson include Georgia (Sep. 27), Tennessee (Oct. 18), South Carolina (Oct. 25), LSU (Nov. 8), Oklahoma (Nov. 15), and Auburn (Nov. 29).

Prospect Summary:

The NFL is always in need of starting outside cornerbacks, and Jackson looks like a future starter at the pro level. With his skill set, Jackson definitely has the physical tools to play in the NFL. Jackson has quality size with length and strength to match up against big receivers. Along with having size, Jackson has good instincts and plays with developed technique. He doesn’t take false steps and shows good route recognition.

While Jackson has size, he also has speed and shows a real burst to close when playing in zone. With his size and length, Jackson looks very natural playing press-man coverage and staying in phase with receivers running along the sideline. He has enough speed to turn and run while showing nice awareness to look back for the ball. Jackson has good ball skills to slap passes away and flashed some hands in 2024.

In off-man coverage, Jackson shows slight stiffness, but he has the potential to improve in off-man. He uses his closing speed and length to recover, but Jackson looks more natural in press man.

Jackson is also a quality run defender and a willing tackler. He shows zero hesitation to come downhill and fly into the box. As a run defender, Jackson should be a solid contributor in the NFL.

Given his physical talent, Jackson has upside to be even better in 2025 now that he has gained some experience. With his skill set and upside, Jackson could be a riser and coveted by many teams in his draft class.

2026 NFL Draft Expectations:

Entering the 2025 season, Jackson looks like he has first-round potential for the 2026 NFL Draft.
