2026 NFL Team Hub: Cleveland Browns

We don’t get to say this often, but great drafting by the Browns. They easily could have drafted the top tackle in this class at No. 6, yet they fooled the Chiefs into thinking someone wanted Mansoor Delane at No. 7 or 8, picking up third- and fifth-round picks in the process. And yet, they still obtained the player they wanted at No. 6! This is an A+ pick for the Browns, who finally have a potential stud at left tackle.

There was some concern that the Browns wouldn’t be able to get a viable receiver at No. 24 if they chose a tackle at No. 6 (or No. 9), but that turned out not to be the case. K.C. Concepcion is a terrific prospect with some great play-making ability. He should be able to give Pro Bowler Shedeur Sanders a great weapon, though it must be noted that he comes with some character concerns.

What a steal! I had the Browns selecting Denzel Boston at No. 24 in my 2026 NFL Mock Draft. I would have graded that pick as a B+ or an A-, so this is easily an A+. Boston is a big receiver with play-making ability, and the Browns suddenly have two receivers with loads of potential.

Many think Emmanuel McNeil-Warren fell, but I had him in the middle of the second round for most of the time. McNeil-Warren has good size and speed, but I’m not sure about the instincts, so I was never very high on him. The potential is definitely there, however.

Another tackle makes sense for the offensive line-starved Browns. Austin Barber has plenty of upside, but was very inconsistent in his collegiate career. It’s nice that he bring versatility, though I’m not a fan that the Brown traded two resources to move up for him.

Parker Brailsford is a quick lineman, but lacks power and arm length. I didn’t have him in my mock draft, so I can’t be a fan of this selection.

Justin Jefferson moves well in coverage, but is undersized. Linebacker wasn’t a need for the Browns, and this isn’t even a value because I had Jefferson in the seventh round.

Joe Royer can make plays in the passing game, but must improve his blocking. The Browns lost David Njoku, so they were expected to find another intermediate threat to join Harold Fannin. I had Royer going 30 picks earlier than this, so Cleveland is getting good value.

Taylen Green has great athleticism and arm strength, but is extremely raw as a passer. Some teams believe he should move to receiver. It’s nice that if Green fails, the Browns could just move him to receiver. I had Green in the fourth round, so there’s good value atop Round 6. Follow @walterfootball for updates. Carsen Ryan is a very limited athlete, but he blocks well. I didn’t have him in my top 400, so I can’t be too excited about this selection.
