2026 NFL Signings Graded by Team: Seattle Seahawks

This page lists all the 2026 NFL Signings for the Seattle Seahawks. I’ve listed all of the NFL Free Agent Signing Grades here, which included the Signings. Because I’ve begun posting polls for the Signings, I thought it would make sense to list just the NFL Signings here, so archiving the voting would be easier.

June 2026 – Signings

Seahawks re-sign DE/OLB Derick Hall (3 years, $42 million): A- Grade
signed on 6/2/2026

The Broncos had the most sacks in the NFL last year, but the Seahawks actually had more pressures than any other team last year. A reason for that was Derick Hall, despite his low sack total of two. Hall was able to accumulate 41 pressures in 2025 despite playing about half the snaps per game. He was limited in playing time because Seattle was so deep, but as the years go by, Hall’s playing time will increase as some players leave. Hall, just 25, has a very bright future ahead of him.

I’m a big fan of this signing. Some will laugh at Hall’s meager sack total without seeing the whole picture. Hall has insane upside, and the Seahawks are getting him at less than half the price of what the Steelers paid for Nick Herbig.

May 2026 – Signings

Seahawks sign DE Dante Fowler (1 year): A- Grade
signed on 5/6/2026

It feels like Dante Fowler has been around forever. He’s played for five different teams over his decade-long career, and now he’ll be able to add a sixth team to the list in the wake of his signing with the Seahawks.

Fowler played sparingly last year for his fifth team, the Cowboys. He was on the field for about a third of the snaps, logging three sacks in the process. Fowler put some decent pressure on quarterbacks when he saw action, though his sack number plummeting from 10.5 the prior year is staggering. Fowler, 32 in August, is definitely not what he once was, but he can be a fine rotational piece for Seattle’s defensive front. He’s a solid signing at no risk, but he could easily regress due to age.

March 2026 – Signings

Seahawks re-sign WR Jake Bobo (2 years, $5.5 million): C- Grade
signed on 3/23/2026

Of the two Seahawks receivers who were given new contracts today, one has been grossly overpaid, and it’s not Jaxon Smith-Njigba. It’s Jake Bobo, who will be paid $5.5 million over two years for some reason.

Bobo is a fun meme because he has the same last name as a famous clown, but he’s not really a viable NFL talent. It’s unclear why he’ll be making anything more than the veteran minimum.

Seahawks re-sign WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba (4 years, $168.6 million): A- Grade
signed on 3/23/2026

Jaxon Smith-Njigba has become the highest-paid receiver in NFL history. Ja’Marr Chase previously held that distinction at slightly north of $40 million per year. Smith-Njigba has eclipsed Chase by about $2 million per season.

Smith-Njigba is arguably the best receiver in the NFL, so he deserves this sort of contract. I can’t grade this signing poorly, but I must also recognize that this is a lot of money to dedicate to a non-quarterback. That said, the cap is fake, so if Seahawks ownership is willing to shell out lots of money, then this contract won’t be very impactful as far as signing other players is concerned.

Seahawks sign RB Emanuel Wilson (1 year): A- Grade
signed on 3/12/2026

The Seahawks had Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet form a solid committee last year, but Walker is gone and Charbonnet is coming off a torn ACL. George Holani was the lone, viable running back remaining, so the Seahawks had to obtain some help at the position.

Emanuel Wilson is a decent signing, considering the Seahawks brought him in for just one year. Wilson has been decent in relief of Josh Jacobs over the past two years, so he could be a fine option if the Seahawks don’t like any of the running back options available to them in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Seahawks re-sign WR/KR Rashid Shaheed (3 years, $51 million): B+ Grade
signed on 3/9/2026

So much for Rashid Shaheed going to Las Vegas to reunite with Klint Kubiak. Everyone believed that Shaheed would sign with the Raiders, but he opted to stay with the Seahawks instead.

It’s hard to hate this re-signing. Shaheed was a huge weapon on special teams late in the year for Seattle. The Seahawks couldn’t figure out how to use Shaheed on offense, but perhaps they’ll be able to do so with an entire offseason.

Seahawks re-sign CB Josh Jobe (3 years, $24 million): C+ Grade
signed on 3/9/2026

The Seahawks had two of prominent cornerbacks entering free agency, with Tariq Woolen and Josh Jobe set to have their contracts expire. Woolen is all but certain to leave, but Seattle was able to retain Jobe.

However, I don’t view this as a great move because it seems as though the Seahawks overpaid. Jobe isn’t a bad cornerback by any means, but he’s as pedestrian as it gets, so I can’t really support a contract worth $8 million per season. I think something worth $5 million per year or so would have been more appropriate.
