2026 NFL Signings Graded by Team: Denver Broncos

This page lists all the 2026 NFL Signings for the Denver Broncos. I’ve listed all of the NFL Free Agent Signing Grades here, which included the Signings. Because I’ve begun posting polls for the Signings, I thought it would make sense to list just the NFL Signings here, so archiving the voting would be easier.

March 2026 – Signings

Broncos re-sign RB J.K. Dobbins (2 years, $20 million): C Grade
signed on 3/9/2026

I hope that for the $20 million the Broncos spent that J.K. Dobbins comes with bubble wrap. Dobbins, sadly, has never played a full NFL season. He’s seemingly always nursing some sort of injury, which is a shame because he was so talented. Dobbins is definitely not the same player he once was, which makes me wonder why Denver spent $10 million per season on him. Surely the Broncos know that there are plenty of cheaper options that are also safer.

Broncos re-sign ILB Alex Singleton (2 years, $15.5 million): B+ Grade
signed on 3/9/2026

The Broncos already lost Dre Greenlaw to release, so they couldn’t allow their other top linebacker from last year, Alex Singleton, to walk. Singleton was re-signed to a relatively cheap 2-year deal.

Denver made a good decision. Singleton is terrific in run support and will continue to be a good fit in the defense. He’s not nearly as good in coverage, but he’s not being paid like he is (see Tremaine Edmunds.)

Broncos re-sign TE Adam Trautman (3 years, $17 million): C Grade
signed on 3/8/2026

I saw one writer opine in the wake of this signing: “Sean Payton loves Adam Trautman.” That’s an understatement. I think if Trautman asked for Payton’s daughter’s hand in marriage, Payton would say yes without a second thought. Actually, I think Payton would say yes to Trautman asking to marry him.

Trautman is just a blocking tight end, so it’s odd to see this sort of deal. Sure, he’s a pretty great blocking tight end, but there are so many blocking tight ends, one could say that they grow on trees. In fact, a few are coming into bloom in my backyard as you are reading this.

In all seriousness, I like Trautman as a player, but this is too much money for the role he plays on the team.
