This page lists all the 2026 NFL Signings for the New York Giants. I’ve listed all of the NFL Free Agent Signing Grades here, which included the Signings. Because I’ve begun posting polls for the Signings, I thought it would make sense to list just the NFL Signings here, so archiving the voting would be easier.

June 2026 – Signings
Giants sign WR Odell Beckham Jr.: B+ Grade
signed on 6/1/2026
Everyone is focused on the Myles Garrett trade – go here for my NFL Trade Grades – but there was another move made earlier in the day involving a very well-known player. That would be Odell Beckham Jr., who is making his return to the Giants.
Beckham is 33 and happens to be washed up, but this signing makes sense for a couple of reasons. First, the Giants don’t have much as far as veteran experience is concerned at receiver, so it’ll helpful to have a veteran presence like Beckham in the receiver room. Second, Malik Nabers probably won’t be ready for the start of the season, so the Giants needed anything they could get at the position.
That said, I wouldn’t expect Beckham to produce much. I can’t go above a B+ grade even though there’s hardly any risk involved with this signing.

May 2026 – Signings
Giants sign DT D.J. Reader (2 years, $12.5 million): B+ Grade
signed on 5/6/2026
The Giants acquired the No. 10 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft for Dexter Lawrence, which would have been a tremendous haul in a normal draft class. Unfortunately for the Giants, the 2026 NFL Draft class was so weak that they were able to obtain just the second-best guard with the selection. Francis Mauigoa could be a solid blocker for the Giants, but Lawrence will be missed even though he’s coming off a down year.
New York wasn’t able to replace Lawrence via the draft because the defensive tackle class was so underwhelming. Thus, they signed D.J. Reader, who will be a quality short-term replacement for Lawrence. Reader turns 32, so he’s not the dominant force he once was, but he can still hold up well against the run and offer a bit of a pass rush. There’s a chance Reader’s play could fall off a cliff due to age, so I don’t want to grade this in the “A” range, but I like this signing for New York.

April 2026 – Signings
Giants sign G/OT Daniel Faalele: B+ Grade
signed on 4/8/2026
It’s hardly a surprise that the Giants signed Daniel Faalele. Not only are they addressing a weakness on their roster; John Harbaugh is acquiring yet another one of his former players.
Faalele isn’t a great player by any means, but he’s a mediocre blocker. He was drafted as a tackle, but moved to guard, and this is a position of need for the Giants. Faalele could end up starting for the Giants, making this a quality signing.

March 2026 – Signings
Giants sign WR Darnell Mooney (1 year, $10 million): B Grade
signed on 3/14/2026
Darnell Mooney had a solid season with the Falcons in 2024, catching 64 passes for nearly 1,000 yards. He was expected to repeat this performance last season, but he battled through numerous injuries and was ineffective overall.
Mooney is healthy now, so there’s a good chance we’ll see him revert to 2024 form. If so, he can be a fine short-term replacement for Wan’Dale Robinson. I don’t like seeing the Giants paying such a hefty price tag for one season, but I don’t have too much of an issue with this signing.

Giants sign WR Calvin Austin (1 year): B+ Grade
signed on 3/12/2026
The Giants lost Wan’Dale Robinson, so they needed to obtain at least one receiver to replenish depth at the position. The Giants still need to bolster their receiver group, but adding Calvin Austin is an OK start.
My only real issue here is that Austin is an inconsistent deep threat. Between Darius Slayton and Jalin Hyatt, the Giants already have enough inconsistent deep threats, so perhaps they should have tried to obtain another type of receiver. Still, Austin signed for just one year, so it’s not like New York is really risking anything.

Giants sign FB Patrick Ricard (2 years, $8.5 million): A+ Grade
signed on 3/10/2026
It’s hardly a surprise that the Giants signed Patrick Ricard. John Harbaugh has already signed a couple of former Ravens, and Patrick Ricard has always been a favorite of his.
Ricard has been a favorite of Derrick Henry’s as well. Henry has repeatedly praised Ricard for his elite blocking, so I’m sure he’ll miss him. Meanwhile, Cam Skattebo and the other Giants backs will really benefit from having a terrific lead blocker in front of them. The Giants will run the ball so much better with this cheap upgrade, so this signing must be graded very highly.

Giants re-sign LB Micah McFadden (1 year): B+ Grade
signed on 3/10/2026
Micah McFadden is a skilled linebacker, but played only 11 snaps last year because he injured his foot during the opening game of the season. He was missed, but will be retained with this 1-year “prove it” deal. It’s a good opportunity for McFadden to reestablish himself, and it’s also nice that the Giants will get him at his best with a no-risk contract.

Giants sign CB Greg Newsome (1 year, $10 million): A Grade
signed on 3/10/2026
Greg Newsome was traded at the deadline last season, moving from Cleveland to Jacksonville. The Jaguars didn’t quite get the upgrade in the secondary they were hoping for, as Newsome struggled with his new team.
Given what transpired, it’s not surprising to see Newsome sign a 1-year “prove it” deal. I love this move, as the Giants will get Newsome at his very best to fill a huge need in the secondary.

Giants sign S Ar'Darius Washington (1 year): A+ Grade
signed on 3/9/2026
If there was one player in this free agency period who needed to be a signed to a 1-year “prove it” deal, it could be argued that it should be Ar’Darius Washington. The former Raven safety was a Pro Bowl player prior to tearing his Achilles in 2024. He returned to the field late in 2025, but wasn’t nearly the same. Now, two years removed from the injury, we could see Washington return to form. Then again, Achilles injuries can be brutal, with some players never returning to their former selves.
The Giants are taking a great chance with this signing. Washington will get a shot to prove himself, all while playing for John Harbaugh again, so it’s hard not to like this signing. If Washington struggles, then the Giants won’t be penalized very much for this signing. It’s all upside.

Giants re-sign OT Jermaine Eluemunor (3 years, $39 million): A Grade
signed on 3/9/2026
Jaxson Dart was beaten to a pulp in his rookie year, so the worst thing the Giants could have done this season was worsen his pass protection. Allowing Jermaine Eluemunor to walk would have hurt Dart’s development, so it’s great that the Giants were able to retain him.
Eluemunor thrived in pass protection last year, so this contract makes a lot of sense. He probably would’ve commanded more if he weren’t 31 years old, but he should still be able to perform on a high level for two more seasons.

Giants sign LB Tremaine Edmunds (3 years, $36 million): D Grade
signed on 3/9/2026
The Giants are having a rough day. They earlier overpaid for an inconsistent tight end despite not having a need at the position, and now they just gave $12 million per season to a two-down linebacker.
The Bears thoughtlessly discarded Edmunds about a week ago because he was such a big disappointment for them. Edmunds is solid against the run, but is awful in coverage. A player like this does not deserve $12 million per season, so I don’t know what the Giants are thinking with this move.

Giants sign TE Isaiah Likely (3 years, $40 million): MILLEN Grade
signed on 3/9/2026
Ladies and gentlemen, our first Millen grade of free agency.
When I first saw this signing, I said, “$40 million? You’ve gotta be kidding me.” I can’t believe Isaiah Likely signed for this much money. He’s had some great games in his young career, but he’s also done a whole lot of nothing as well. The fact that he couldn’t be a consistent producer means that he’s not an elite tight end, and any time a team spends big bucks on a non-elite tight end, they always regret it. Always.
Besides, this wasn’t even a need. Theo Johnson is a quality tight end with lots of promise. There was no reason to block his production like this with a mega overpay.
