2009 Fantasy Football Rankings – Wide Receivers:
Last Updated: Sept. 5, 2009

2009 Fantasy Football Rankings: Wide Receivers 1-30 | WRs 31-96

  1. Chris Henry, Bengals. Bye: 8.
AUG. 29 UPDATE: Chris Henry caught two passes for 62 yards and a touchdown Thursday night, but he didn’t receive a target when the team’s first-string offense was on the field. The Bengals seemed determined to get Andre Caldwell the ball instead. Of course, with Just Turnovers O’Sullivan under center, Chad Ochocinco received only four targets himself; O’Sullivan spent most of his time taking sacks and throwing short checkdowns to Daniel Coats and Caldwell.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: So much for the $27 million the Bengals paid Laveranues Coles this offseason. Chris Henry started over Coles on Thursday night and was the superior wideout in this game. Henry caught four balls for 55 yards, including a 24-yard score. Coles, meanwhile, was held reception-less. Henry is very intriguing because he plays in a high-powered offense and is big enough to be one of Carson Palmer’s primary end-zone targets. I’m moving him up my rankings.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 55 catches. 875 yards. 7 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 129.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 184.

  2. Devin Hester, Bears. Bye: 5.
Those who still think Chicago made a big mistake by taking away Devin Hester’s return opportunities and moving him to receiver haven’t been paying attention. I’ll admit that I was against the transition at first, but it really paid off toward the end of the 2008 season.

If you take Devin Hester’s final 12 games and exclude the two contests Kyle Orton either missed or failed to play anywhere near 100 percent, the Miami product racked up 41 receptions and 564 yards. Spread those figures out over a 16-game slate, and you get 66 catches and 902 yards.

Those aren’t great numbers, but Hester is getting a huge boost with Jay Cutler at quarterback. Unlike Orton, Cutler can make all the throws, meaning Hester will be more of an offensive threat in 2009.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 66 catches. 980 yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 128.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 194.

  3. Lance Moore, Saints. Bye: 5.
AUG. 30 UPDATE: Lance Moore was on the field for the first time all preseason Saturday afternoon. Playing out of the slot, Moore caught four passes for 29 yards and a touchdown. Moore is an excellent PPR fantasy option this year.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: Lance Moore came out of nowhere to put up WR1 numbers when Marques Colston went down. Moore caught 79 passes for 928 yards and 10 touchdowns. As I’ve said frequently on this page, you need to buy low and sell high in fantasy. This is an obvious sell high.

Save for one instance, Moore failed to register more than 36 receiving yards after Thanksgiving. His 10 scores scream “fluke;” I can’t see a 5-9, 190-pound wideout notching double-digit touchdowns again. But people are ignoring this and taking Moore way too early in their fantasy drafts. Don’t fall into that trap.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 80 catches. 910 yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 127.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 207.

  4. Donnie Avery, Rams. Bye: 9.
AUG. 25 UPDATE: Donnie Avery is back at practice and could play in the final exhibition game. He was supposed to be out for the first few weeks of the regular season, but has made a quick recovery. His timing could still be off, however.

AUG. 10 UPDATE: Donnie Avery will miss 4-6 weeks with a foot injury, meaning he could miss the first couple of games of the year. There is also a chance Avery’s injury lingers.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: As you would expect out of any rookie, Donnie Avery had his ups and downs. Following a 6-catch, 163-yard performance at New England, four of Avery’s next five games saw him catch three passes or less. Avery finished strong, however, grabbing 16 balls for 157 balls and a touchdown in the final three weeks of the season.

Avery will be more consistent in his second year, but he’ll draw No. 1 corners with Torry Holt gone. He’s also too small to be any sort of touchdown threat, but clueless fantasy owners in your league may not know any better.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 70 catches. 910 yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 121.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 191.

  5. Justin Gage, Titans. Bye: 7.
SEPT. 1 UPDATE: Justin Gage led the Titans with six catches, 57 yards and a touchdown Saturday night. He dropped a pass on the second drive, but later redeemed himself with a great fingertip catch in the end zone. With Nate Washington hobbled by a hamstring injury, Gage will be Kerry Collins’ No. 1 option to open the season.

In 12 games, Justin Gage had 34 receptions, 651 yards and six touchdowns. Gage also had 10 receptions and 135 yards against the Ravens in a playoff loss. As long as Kerry Collins stays healthy, Gage is a viable WR4 option; Tennessee’s offense is too conservative and run-oriented for Gage to be viewed as anything more.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 56 catches. 830 yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 119.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 175.

  6. Jerricho Cotchery, Jets. Bye: 9.
The epitome of inconsistency, Jerricho Cotchery had six games where he caught at least six passes, and five other contests where he logged two receptions or less. And this was with Brett Favre, who was playing really well until December.

Even though Laveranues Coles is gone, Cotchery’s fantasy value can’t be high with a rookie quarterback under center.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 75 catches. 880 yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 118.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 193.

  7. Josh Morgan, 49ers. Bye: 6.
SEPT. 1 UPDATE: Shaun Hill targeted Josh Morgan only twice Saturday night. One throw was inaccurate, while the second was broken up by Terence Newman. Hill also missed a wide-open Morgan for about a 15-yard gain, choosing to check down instead. Morgan is a talented receiver, so it’s really frustrating to see Hill and Alex Smith struggling like this.

AUG. 15 UPDATE: One of my favorite sleepers, Josh Morgan, caught two balls for 23 yards in the preseason opener. Morgan made a statement on his first reception, taking the ball away from Champ Bailey.

JUNE 28 UPDATE: As if Michael Crabtree didn’t have enough to overcome in terms of transitioning from Texas Tech’s gimmick offense to an NFL pro-style attack… there are growing concerns that Crabtree will hold out for a long time. Per the Denver Post, Crabtree is looking for top-three money despite being drafted 10th overall. Crabtree’s reasoning is that he should have been taken atop the draft, so the fact that he slipped shouldn’t affect his monetary status. The 49ers, understandably, disagree.

I already disliked Crabtree’s 2009 fantasy prospects, so this pretty much seals the deal on his 2009 bust status. Josh Morgan is the 49ers receiver you want to own.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: I liked Josh Morgan as a possible sleeper until the 49ers drafted Michael Crabtree. Morgan would be the better option at split end this year, as the Texas Tech rookie transitions to a pro-style offense, but San Francisco didn’t draft Crabtree 10th overall to have him sit on the bench.

Morgan should be able to hold off Crabtree early in the year, at the very least. I would just be scared that the coaching staff would force Crabtree into the lineup.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 58 catches. 875 yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 117.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 175.

  8. Hakeem Nicks, Giants. Bye: 10.
AUG. 31 UPDATE: Statistically, Hakeem Nicks was the top Giants wideout Saturday night. Nicks had six receptions for 144 yards and two touchdowns. Only one of those catches (16 yards) was with the first-team offense, however. Nicks made some nice grabs from David Carr, but dropped a ball that hit him right in the hands. On another occasion, Nicks failed to run past the first-down marker to move the chains on a third down.

That said, it was quite apparent that Nicks is the most talented of all of New York’s receivers, and the fact that he ran a few plays with the first team was encouraging. After the game, Tom Coughlin told the media that Nicks might be moving up the depth chart. Draft Nicks in Rounds 11 or 12 as a backup with a ton of upside.

AUG. 24 UPDATE: Hakeem Nicks had an impressive 55-yard reception from Andre’ Woodson at the end of the game. Nicks didn’t appear until the backups were in, but on the bright side, he was thrown to six times. Nicks had a second catch that was wiped out by a penalty. Nicks is by far the most talented wideout on New York’s roster, but he may not produce for you right away. He still remains a great late-round flier with a ton of upside.

AUG. 18 UPDATE: Hakeem Nicks didn’t come into the game until the second half of the preseason opener. Nicks dropped a long touchdown from Andre’ Woodson, though the catch was a difficult one to make. He later hauled in a 9-yard reception. Nicks is talented enough to be a factor in the second half of the season, but you may need to be patient. He’s still behind Domenik Hixon and Mario Manningham.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: Unlike Jeremy Maclin, Michael Crabtree and Percy Harvin, Hakeem Nicks is coming out of a pro-style offense, so there is no adjustment period. At 6-1, 212, Nicks has the potential to be the touchdown machine the Giants have been looking for since Plaxico Burress shot himself. And Jerry Reese, a master drafter, took Nicks off the board in the first round after Eli Manning made it known that he wanted a big target to throw to.

In my opinion, no other rookie wideout has more realistic upside than Nicks. He could be this year’s Anquan Boldin, Marques Colston or Eddie Royal. I’d take a chance on him in the middle rounds before I would on Maclin or Harvin.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 58 catches. 750 yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 111.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 169.

  9. Torry Holt, Jaguars. Bye: 7.
AUG. 28 UPDATE: Torry Holt owners should be encouraged because David Garrard threw to his new receiver five times Thursday night. Unfortunately, they connected only twice for 14 yards. One misfire was incomplete deep on the sideline. Another was stripped away by Asante Samuel. And the last one resulted in a Samuel interception.

AUG. 24 UPDATE: It might be time to drop Torry Holt in the 2009 Fantasy Football Rankings. David Garrard didn’t target Holt until the fourth drive Saturday night, though it was a 23-yard gain. Holt was not thrown to again.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: Thanks to declining skills (he was 32), a banged-up quarterback, a turnstile offensive line and a moronic coaching staff, Torry Holt had the worst season of his career, which includes his rookie year. Holy managed 64 receptions, 796 yards and a depressing three touchdowns.

Jacksonville’s offense is more conservative than St. Louis’, but the Jaguars have a better quarterback and what appears to be a superior offensive line. David Garrard has never worked with a wideout as talented as Holt on a full-time basis. In the wake of a poor season, Holt could be out to prove doubters wrong.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 69 catches. 790 yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 109.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 178.

  10. Steve Breaston, Cardinals. Bye: 4.
So much for the “third-year receiver” theory. After just eight receptions as a rookie, Steve Breaston collected 77 receptions, 1,006 yards and three touchdowns in his second season. Breaston also caught six passes for 71 yards in the Super Bowl.

Breaston will continue to get single coverage as long as Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin are on the field. Unfortunately, Fitzgerald, Boldin and now Chris Wells will take away Breaston’s red-zone opportunities.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 71 catches. 900 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 108.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 179.

  11. Chris Chambers, Chargers. Bye: 5.
What happened to Chris Chambers? After registering 66 receptions, 970 yards and four touchdowns in 2007, Chambers saw his numbers drop to 33 catches and 462 yards. Chambers hurt his ankle in Week 5, but struggled before then.

Chambers is just 31 (as of Aug. 12) and he’s in his contract year, so I can’t see him struggling as much this season. I wouldn’t count on him as a WR3, however.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 55 catches. 770 yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 107.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 162.

  12. Ted Ginn Jr., Dolphins. Bye: 6.
SEPT. 4 UPDATE: Another poor outing from Ted Ginn. Chad Pennington targeted Ginn only once Thursday night, which happened to be a 3-yard reception. Ginn later had a 23-yard catch from Chad Henne, but the fact remains that Ginn has done nothing the past three games with Pennington at the helm.

AUG. 28 UPDATE: Another clunker from Ted Ginn. Ginn saw just two targets Thursday night, catching the first for 19 yards with less than two minutes remaining in the first half. Ginn was later overthrown in the end zone.

AUG. 24 UPDATE: After a solid performance last week, Ted Ginn did nothing on Saturday. Ginn was thrown to only once and dropped that pass. These up-and-down weeks is what makes Ginn so undesirable in fantasy leagues.

AUG. 18 UPDATE: The guy I was most impressed with in the preseason opener was Ted Ginn. Pennington targeted Ginn five times in the first quarter, and the Ohio State product came away with two catches for 26 yards. Ginn had a third reception, but that was negated by a penalty. His fourth target was a pass interference call. Ginn also had a 14-yard end-around.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: Ted Ginn Jr. had a 7-catch, 175-yard performance against the Bills in Week 8, but two weeks earlier, he had one catch for minus-1 yards. In total, Ginn played in seven games where he had three receptions or less.

I can’t ever see Ginn emerging as anything more than a WR3 in fantasy football. He’s just not that talented, and he’ll never be a touchdown machine at his size.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 62 catches. 875 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 105.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 167.

  13. Laurent Robinson, Rams. Bye: 9.
AUG. 29 UPDATE: Laurent Robinson received four targets Thursday night, three of which were completed for 20 yards. Robinson dropped the first pass thrown to him, and as mentioned earlier, was responsible for an illegal block penalty that wiped out a nice Steven Jackson run. Still, Robinson once again out-performed Keenan Burton, who saw just two targets. Robinson will be the No. 2 wideout once Donnie Avery returns to the lineup.

AUG. 23 UPDATE: Laurent Robinson will be thrown to early and often while Donnie Avery is out of the lineup. Kyle Boller targeted Robinson on seven of his first 10 throws Friday night. Robinson finished with five receptions for 65 yards, and could have had more if Boller didn’t totally suck. Boller completely missed a streaking Robinson in the end zone on what would have been a long touchdown pass.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: Two of Marc Bulger’s completions in the preseason opener went to Laurent Robinson, including his first attempt. Robinson’s second reception went for 50 yards. He’ll be the No. 1 wideout until Donnie Avery comes back.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 58 catches. 810 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 105.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 163.

  14. Earl Bennett, Bears. Bye: 5.
AUG. 24 UPDATE: Earl Bennett led the Bears in receiving yards with 42 on two catches. Bennett was targeted four times on Cutler’s 14 throws. He made a nice diving catch for 15 yards and was later interfered with, negating more possible yardage. It looks like the Cutler-to-Bennett connection that sparked Vanderbilt a few years ago is still going strong.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: Earl Bennett played with Jay Cutler at Vanderbilt, so is there a chance that Bennett emerges as Chicago’s star wideout in 2009? Doubtful. Bennett couldn’t even pass Marty Booker and Brandon Lloyd on the depth chart last year. Both are gone, but Juaquin Iglesias is in the mix. Those familiar with the Vanderbilt connection may reach.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 65 catches. 800 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 104.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 169.

  15. Brandon Marshall, Broncos. Bye: 7.
AUG. 29 UPDATE: As predicted by almost everyone, Brandon Marshall has been suspended by the Broncos until Sept. 6. The suspension will be extended if the Broncos feel that Marshall isn’t on his best behavior. In addition to this, Marshall doesn’t know the playbook and is coming off an injury. As I said yesterday, avoid him at all cost.

AUG. 28 UPDATE: I’ll be shocked if Brandon Marshall isn’t suspended soon. At a recent practice, Marshall punted the ball instead of handing it to a ball boy, batted down passes in a drill where he was asked to catch the ball, and walked back to the huddle when everyone else was running. Marshall pulled his best Terrell Owens impression and destroyed his trade value. I will not be surprised at all if Marshall doesn’t play a single game in 2009. Avoid him in your fantasy leagues.

AUG. 21 UPDATE: Bob Glauber of Newsday recently Tweeted that he believes the Broncos will suspend Brandon Marshall for conduct detrimental to the team. Glauber then compared Marshall’s actions to Terrell Owens’ stint in Philadelphia. Making matters worse, Marshall currently is working with the scout team.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: Last August, I made a drunken bet with my friend Stump that Calvin Johnson would out-score Brandon Marshall in our PPR Fantasy League. I think we pretty much conceded that the bet was a wash because both wideouts had monstrous seasons.

Well, Megatron will easily win this matchup in 2009. The downgrade from Jay Cutler to Kyle Orton is colossal. Marshall could also be suspended again. Oh, and he’s coming off hip surgery as well. Don’t be the one to reach for Marshall in the fourth round.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 63 catches. 790 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 103.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 166.

  16. Malcolm Kelly, Redskins. Bye: 8.
The Washington Post says that “anyone with a clue” knows that Malcolm Kelly will be the No. 2 receiver this year. Devin Thomas looked great early in training camp, but his problematic lethargy has apparently resurfaced. Kelly is worth a late-round flier.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 53 catches. 790 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 103.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 156.

  17. Sidney Rice, Vikings. Bye: 9.
An early late-round sleeper candidate of mine. I like Sidney Rice for two reasons, the first being the upgrade at quarterback for Minnesota.

Secondly, I never expected much out of Rice until now. Rice was only 20 when he was drafted. On Sept. 1, he turns 23, meaning he’s much more physically and mentally prepared than he was going into his first two NFL seasons. Rice never even had the opportunity to do anything in 2008 because he suffered a knee injury in Week 2. Rice played toward the end of the campaign, but never was 100 percent.

If a healthy Rice gets an opportunity, he could put up some really nice numbers with Sage Rosenchoker at quarterback. Rice is 6-4, 202, and gifted athletically. He has the size to be a touchdown machine if he can stay on the field.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 48 catches. 670 yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 103.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 151.

  18. Deion Branch, Seahawks. Bye: 7.
The Seahawks would have drafted Michael Crabtree if Aaron Curry wasn’t available because Deion Branch can’t stay healthy. In the past two seasons, Branch has missed 13 games.

That said, Branch is worth a roster spot because if he actually plays, he can put up solid numbers as a No. 2. Just be ready to drop him once he suffers his annual injuries. There’s also a chance Branch could be cut.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 52 catches. 710 yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 101.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 153.

  19. Chaz Schilens, Raiders. Bye: 9.
With all eyes on Darren McFadden, Tony Romo, Roy Williams and Jason Witten, the star of this game was Raider receiver Chaz Schilens. Schilens, a seventh-round pick a year ago, caught five passes for 52 yards, which doesn’t include a 40-yard pass interference penalty he drew on the second drive.

In total, Schilens was remarkably targeted on five of JaMarcus Russell’s first seven pass attempts. Schilens made some impressive grabs, including a leaping 16-yard reception and a diving catch early in the second quarter.

Schilens is definitely a fantasy sleeper, and I’d suggest grabbing him in the later rounds of your draft.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 51 catches. 775 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 101.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 152.

  20. Louis Murphy, Raiders. Bye: 9.
AUG. 30 UPDATE: Louis Murphy struggled early Saturday afternoon. He dropped his first two targets; the first should have been called a reception and a fumble. In the third quarter, Murphy made a great 38-yard catch but fumbled the ball away. With Jeff Garcia in the game, Murphy stepped up and caught two balls for 46 yards on one drive. This wasn’t a great performance by any means, but Murphy is being targeted much more than Darrius Heyward-Bey. I’d rather have Murphy in any fantasy league.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: We now have a good idea regarding which Raider receiver to draft first in our fantasy leagues in the wake of Chaz Schilens’ injury. JaMarcus Russell targeted Louis Murphy three times Saturday evening, all of which were in the end zone. One ball was tipped away. Another was too high for Murphy. The third ended up being a 24-yard score. Murphy finished with two grabs for 34 yards and that touchdown.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 50 catches. 680 yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 98.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 148.

  21. Kevin Curtis, Eagles. Bye: 4.
With Jeremy Maclin on the roster, everyone is assuming that Kevin Curtis will simply stand aside as Maclin takes over the split end position. Not me – Maclin is very talented, but he has to adjust to a pro-style offense. Curtis should be able to hold down the starting job in 2009.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 57 catches. 730 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 97.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 154.

  22. Chansi Stuckey, Jets. Bye: 9.
It looks like Chansi Stuckey will be the No. 2 receiver for the Jets. Mark Sanchez targeted him five times Saturday night. Stuckey came away with four catches for 69 yards and a score, as the sole incompletion was broken up by a defender.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 60 catches. 725 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 96.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 156.

  23. Mark Clayton, Ravens. Bye: 7.
AUG. 11 UPDATE: Mark Clayton has torn his hamstring and his Week 1 status is now in question.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: Mark Clayton had 67 catches, 939 yards and five touchdowns in 2006, but hasn’t come anywhere near that production since. This season will be his best chance, now that Joe Flacco is entering his second year. Still, the chances of that happening are slim, and Clayton will never get a lot of touchdowns because he’s only 5-10, 195.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 47 catches. 725 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 96.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 143.

  24. Muhsin Muhammad, Panthers. Bye: 4.
Despite being 35 and coming off three mediocre seasons in Chicago, Muhsin Muhammad had his best year since 2004, catching 65 passes for 923 yards and five scores with the Panthers. However, Muhammad just turned 36, so his skills should continue to decline rapidly. I’d rather take someone with more upside in the later rounds.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 52 catches. 725 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 96.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 148.

  25. Nate Washington, Titans. Bye: 7.
AUG. 17 UPDATE: Nate Washington dropped a touchdown against the Buccaneers and didn’t log a single reception. There will be days like this in Tennessee’s conservative offense, but at least he was targeted in the end zone.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: The Titans gave Nate Washington a 6-year, $27 million deal this offseason. Like many others, I was shocked; Washington is a decent receiver, but he had just 40 catches for 631 yards and three touchdowns in 2008. Sure, he played behind Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes, but that’s a lot of money to give to someone who hasn’t produced.

Don’t expect a miracle here; Tennessee’s offense is very conservative and Kerry Collins is one of the oldest starting quarterbacks in the NFL.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 45 catches. 775 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 95.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 140.

  26. Mark Bradley, Chiefs. Bye: 8.
Mark Bradley was effective when Tyler Thigpen took over as the starting quarterback last year. By effective, I mean that he had 50 receiving yards and/or a touchdown in six of the seven games he played with Thigpen.

Bradley should continue to improve in Kansas City’s spread attack, but I wouldn’t expect miracles or anything. The one nice thing about Bradley is that his 6-2, 200-pound frame makes him a nice end-zone target. With Tony Gonzalez gone, he could get more looks there.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 51 catches. 650 yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 95.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 146.

  27. Domenik Hixon, Giants. Bye: 10.
AUG. 31 UPDATE: Domenik Hixon, usually the first Giants receiver taken in fantasy drafts this summer, saw five targets against the Jets. Unfortunately, Hixon caught only one ball for 10 yards. Three were misfires by Eli Manning, but Hixon’s big mistake was a dropped ball that popped out of his hands and into the arms of a defender.

AUG. 24 UPDATE: Domenik Hixon was thrown to only once by Eli Manning on Saturday night, finishing with just seven yards. Hixon has upside, but so far we haven’t seen anything to indicate that he’ll have a big year.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: Domenik Hixon averaged 4.4 catches and 58.8 yards per game in Plaxico Burress’ absence. He caught just two passes in the playoff loss to the Eagles. The Giants drafted Hakeem Nicks for a reason.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 49 catches. 700 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 94.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 143.

  28. Patrick Crayton, Cowboys. Bye: 6.
Patrick Crayton fell off the map last year, catching just 39 passes for 550 yards and four touchdowns. Crayton has never had more than 50 receptions or 697 yards in a single year, so even with Terrell Owens gone, don’t expect anything great.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 45 catches. 630 yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 93.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 138.

  29. Davone Bess, Dolphins. Bye: 6.
SEPT. 4 UPDATE: Chad Pennington predictably targeted Davone Bess more than any other receiver Thursday night. Bess turned his three Pennington targets into three receptions for 23 yards. Bess may just be a slot receiver, but he’s a good backup to have in PPR leagues.

AUG. 18 UPDATE: Chad Pennington began the preseason opener by targeting Davone Bess on his first three throws. Bess finished the game with two catches for 12 yards. He’s a guy to draft late in PPR leagues, as he functions in a Wes Welker-type role in Miami’s offense.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: Given that Davone Bess is a slot receiver and that Chad Pennington has no arm strength, Bess has solid value in PPR Leagues. He’s a late-round pick in other formats, however.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 76 catches. 790 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 91.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 167.

  30. Brian Robiskie, Browns. Bye: 9.
SEPT. 4 UPDATE: With Braylon Edwards out, Brian Robiskie started opposite of Mohamed Massaquoi on Thursday night. Brian Robiskie was targeted four times and was able to come away with three catches for 36 yards. Robiskie also scored a touchdown, but had it wiped away on a challenge because the officials said he didn’t break the plane of the goal line. Robiskie has some upside as a late-round fantasy sleeper in deep leagues, but you can probably find someone better.

AUG. 13 UPDATE: According to Sports Illustrated’s Don Banks, Brian Robiskie has faded in training camp and has been passed by fellow rookie Mohamed Massaquoi. We’ll get more of a feel for Cleveland’s receiver situation after Saturday’s preseason game against the Packers. Robiskie will be downgraded a bit for now.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: Brian Robiskie is considered by many to be the most pro-ready wideout of all the rookies. And the Browns will have to play him. What other choice do they have? Robiskie will be Brady Quinn’s second option.

Cleveland may not score a lot this year, but at 6-3, 209, Robiskie has the potential to grab at least six touchdowns.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 53 catches. 660 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 90.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 143.

  31. Michael Clayton, Buccaneers. Bye: 8.
AUG. 24 UPDATE: Byron Leftwich targeted Michael Clayton five times on his first nine throws Saturday night. Yes, the beleaguered Michael Clayton. Clayton finished with two receptions for 28 yards. I should probably dismiss this, but it’s quite possible that Clayton could have a rebound year. He was constantly in Jon Gruden’s dog house, so this new coaching staff could give him another opportunity. Leftwich certainly doesn’t mind throwing it to him. PREVIOUS UPDATES: I don’t know what sort of drugs were involved, but the Buccaneers gave Michael Clayton a 5-year, $24 million contract this offseason. Yep, $24 million for Clayton’s sterling 38 receptions, 484 yards and one touchdown in 2008. Clayton is now five years removed from his 80-catch, 1,193-yard, seven-touchdown rookie campaign. Each summer, people come up with some reason as to why Clayton will reemerge. I gave up on him last year.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 52 catches. 700 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 88.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 140.

  32. Kenny Britt, Titans. Bye: 7.
SEPT. 1 UPDATE: Jared Cook wasn’t the only rookie starter in Tennessee’s lineup Saturday night; Kenny Britt was split out wide to open the game. Kerry Collins looked his way twice; Britt was overthrown on a long ball the first time and caught a 19-yard pass deep over the middle later on.

AUG. 17 UPDATE: One Titan who didn’t look bad at all on Saturday night was Kenny Britt, who had a first-down reception for four yards on the opening drive. In the second quarter, Britt had a 38-yard catch, coming down with the ball despite getting nailed. Britt caught five balls for 89 yards and a score. He won’t be much of a fantasy factor this year because he’s only 21 and Tennessee’s offense is way too conservative. However, look for big things from him in 2010 and beyond.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: Another pro-style rookie receiver, Kenny Britt doesn’t have to transition away from a crap spread offense. Unfortunately for Britt’s fantasy numbers, he’s only 20 and will play in a conservative, run-first offense. Don’t expect much this year.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 48 catches. 610 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 85.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 133.

  33. Devery Henderson, Saints. Bye: 5.
As inconsistent as it gets. There are 80-, 90- and 100-yard weeks, and then there are 6-, 9- and 22-yard weeks. Devery Henderson is a deep threat not worth gambling on.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 28 catches. 670 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 85.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 113.

  34. Troy Williamson, Jaguars. Bye: 7.
After last week’s impressive performance, Troy Williamson garnered only one reception for 11 yards. He was thrown to thrice; two of the incompletions were simply inaccurate deep balls from Garrard. Williamson should have a Devery Henderson-type season. He’ll have a big game where he makes a couple of long receptions, but then he’ll disappear for a couple of weeks.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 40 catches. 660 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 84.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 124.

  35. Steve Smith, Giants. Bye: 10.
As New York’s slot receiver, Steve Smith caught 57 passes for 574 yards, but he managed just one touchdown. His production also failed to increase after Plaxico Burress shot himself.

Smith will be better in 2009, but he’s not much more than a bye-week filler in non-Touchdown Leagues.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 69 catches. 710 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 83.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 152.

  36. Greg Camarillo, Dolphins. Bye: 6.
Greg Camarillo notched at least four recepitons in all but two games last year. He even caught 11 passes for 111 yards against the Broncos. Unfortunately, he tore his ACL three weeks later. The Dolphins drafted Patrick Turner and Brian Hartline as possible replacements.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 54 catches. 700 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 39.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 69.

  37. Mike Walker, Jaguars. Bye: 7.
Mike Walker showed us some of his potential by recording 11 catches and 153 yards in a span of two weeks, but sprained his MCL and never recovered from that. Walker is in his third year, and at 6-2, 208, he has touchdown upside.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 42 catches. 560 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 80.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 122.

  38. Laveranues Coles, Bengals. Bye: 8.
AUG. 21 UPDATE: So much for the $27 million the Bengals paid Laveranues Coles this offseason. Chris Henry started over Coles on Thursday night, who was held reception-less.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: Some expected a big year out of Laveranues Coles in 2008, given that Brett Favre was the new quarterback in town. It turned out that Favre wasn’t the same quarterback who led the Packers to the NFC Championship in 2007. Coles, who has clearly lost some of his explosion, consequently struggled, catching 70 balls for 850 yards and seven touchdowns.

Assuming Carson Palmer is healthy, Coles will be in the best offensive system of his career. Even if this version of Coles pales in comparison to the guy who burnt defenders a few years ago, Palmer should still carry his stats.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 52 catches. 610 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 79.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 131.

  39. Michael Jenkins, Falcons. Bye: 4.
Thanks to Matt Ryan, Michael Jenkins had the best season of his career in 2008, catching 50 passes for 777 yards and three touchdowns. Unfortunately for Jenkins, his targets will go down with Tony Gonzalez on the team and Harry Douglas improving.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 43 catches. 600 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 78.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 121.

  40. Bobby Engram, Chiefs. Bye: 8.
AUG. 4 UPDATE: Matt Cassel and Bobby Engram have reportedly bonded on the field at training camp. The two have hooked up a lot thus far (not that there’s anything wrong with that.) This makes sense, as Cassel can’t throw the ball effectively longer than 10 yards.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: Despite his age, I like Bobby Engram in PPR Leagues. He caught 47 passes for 489 yards in 13 games with Seneca Wallace at quarterback last year. Now he’s paired with Matt Cassel, who does nothing but throw short and get sacked. Engram could possibly have 60 receptions this season.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 61 catches. 630 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 75.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 136.

  41. Jason Avant, Eagles. Bye: 4.
Jason Avant caught five passes for 92 yards Thursday night. Avant is a very good slot receiver and could make for a decent backup in deep PPR leagues this year.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 48 catches. 550 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 73.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 121.

  42. Justin Harper, Ravens. Bye: 7.
I was very curious to see Justin Harper after hearing such great things about him coming out of training camp. Harper’s 2009 debut was pretty much a roller coaster ride. Harper dropped his first three targets. The first was a tough diving catch, so I’ll give him a pass, but Harper had alligator arms in anticipation of a hit on the second try. The third drop was a difficult reception to make, but Harper reached out with only one hand.

When I was about to give up on him, Harper came alive, making several nice catches, finishing with four grabs for 57 yards and a score. Unfortunately, he dropped another pass in the fourth quarter, giving him a grand total of four drops in the game. Despite his nice frame and athleticism, Harper’s not going to get a chance to play consistently in the NFL if he keeps dropping this many balls.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 36 catches. 490 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 73.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 109.

  43. James Jones, Packers. Bye: 5.
Pretty much lost in the mix. James Jones is behind Greg Jennings, Donald Driver and Jordy Nelson on the depth chart, and Jermichael Finley will be more involved this year. Thanks to an injured PCL and the addition of Nelson, Jones saw his production drop from 47 receptions and 676 yards in 2007, to 20 catches and 274 yards in 2008.

Now healthy, Jones’ numbers will improve, but he won’t even come close to reaching his full potential as long as Aaron Rodgers has so many targets to throw to.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 38 catches. 540 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 72.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 110.

  44. Limas Sweed, Steelers. Bye: 8.
With Santonio Holmes out Saturday night, Limas Sweed started. He made a great leaping catch for 11 yards on 3rd-and-8. He also had a nice grab that was behind him for 16 yards. Unfortunately, he was whistled for a holding penalty and failed to get past the marker when running his route on a third down. Still, it was encouraging that Sweed flashed signs of talent. He finished with four receptions for 34 yards.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 37 catches. 525 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 70.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 107.

  45. Miles Austin, Cowboys. Bye: 6.
SEPT. 1 UPDATE: Miles Austin nearly cost Tony Romo a second interception Saturday night; he ran the wrong route and Romo was nearly picked off. Austin also dropped a pass in the third quarter. On the bright side, he had a nice diving 22-yard catch. On that play, you could see why Jerry Jones wants to make passionate love to him (not that there’s anything wrong with that).

AUG. 15 UPDATE: Despite all of Jerry Jones’ admiration toward him, Miles Austin was very unimpressive as a starting wideout. Austin didn’t make a single catch and even dropped a 20-yard slant. Sam Hurd was much better, hauling in five balls for 79 yards.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: I don’t know if I should call this guy Miles Austin, Miles Jones or Miles Austin-Jones. Maybe once the wedding between Miles and Jerry Jones takes place, we’ll have a better idea.

Jones loves Austin, so you better believe that this guy will be starting across from Roy Williams. Austin has fantasy potential, so he’ll be taken in the middle rounds of your fantasy draft. I may change my mind once I see him in preseason action, but for now, I’d rather take a more proven guy.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 35 catches. 525 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 70.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 105.

  46. Michael Crabtree, 49ers. Bye: 6.
AUG. 14 UPDATE: According to multiple sourcues, including the San Jose Mercury News, Michael Crabtree’s holdout is expected to extend into September. Crabtree is undraftable in any league right now.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: Michael Crabtree is an incredible talent, but he’ll have to transition into a pro-style offense, which is a lot harder than it sounds. Fantasy owners across America will overdraft Crabtree based solely on his name. He shouldn’t be taken before Round 11 in any 12-team format.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 36 catches. 510 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 69.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 105.

  47. Percy Harvin, Vikings. Bye: 9.
Percy Harvin is a raw, injury-prone, troubled receiver who played in a gimmick offense in college. He’ll be used in some trick plays and end-arounds, and there’s an outside chance he wins the slot job. I’m not drafting him.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 33 catches. 380 rec. yards. 120 rush yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 68.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 330.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 101.

  48. Darrius Heyward-Bey, Raiders. Bye: 9.
AUG. 25 UPDATE: Darrius Heyward-Bey was held reception-less Saturday night. He was targeted twice, but JaMarcus Russell missed him both times.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: In addition to his speed and size, the one thing Darrius Heyward-Bey has going for him is that he played in a pro-style offense at Maryland. However, Heyward-Bey drops too many passes and had inconsistent production as a Terp. JaMarcus Russell’s habit of eating 50 bags of Doritos every day isn’t helping matters.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 29 catches. 480 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 66.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 95.

  49. Jeremy Maclin, Eagles. Bye: 4.
Tons of fantasy owners are overdrafting Jeremy Maclin. He’s an incredible talent, but he’s going to have to spend some time adjusting to a pro-style offense after playing in Missouri’s gimmick scheme for two years. I’ll be shocked if he takes away the split end job from Kevin Curtis this year.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 31 catches. 470 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 65.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 96.

  50. Brian Hartline, Dolphins. Bye: 6.
SEPT. 4 UPDATE: Though the Miami Herald reported that Brian Hartline would start for the Dolphins, the rookie wideout came off the bench and dropped a pass Thursday night. Greg Camarillo started instead.

AUG. 30 UPDATE: After an impressive preseason, rookie Brian Hartline has officially been promoted to the starting lineup. He’s a late-round flier with some upside, but don’t go nuts because Miami’s offense is pretty conservative. The PPR-friendly Davone Bess will be in the slot again.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: Brian Hartline once again started at split end for the Dolphins, with Davone Bess working out of the slot. Hartline saw seven targets from Chad Pennington on Thursday night, three of which were complete for 79 yards, including a great 54-yard connection. Hartline had 39 yards wiped out because of a B.S. offensive pass interference call by crooked official Jerome Boger. Hartline also drew an illegal contact penalty. His only mistake was a dropped pass in the second quarter.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 40 catches. 525 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 64.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 104.

  51. Kevin Ogletree, Cowboys. Bye: 6.
SEPT. 5 UPDATE: Kevin Ogletree started Friday night and was targeted twice on the opening drive by Jon Kitna. Ogletree pulled in both balls for 14 yards and a touchdown. No Cowboys receiver after Roy Williams has impressed the coaching staff this preseason, so if Ogletree gets a chance in the regular season, he could put up some solid numbers.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: With Roy Williams out of the lineup, rookie Kevin Ogletree ran with the first team Saturday night. Ogletree was targeted thrice by Tony Romo, catching two of those balls for 36 yards. One reception was caught for 15 along the sideline to move the chains on a 3rd-and-6. The second was for 21 over the middle on another 3rd-and-6. Ogletree’s final target was underthrown. Ogletree is a very talented receiver who is worth picking up if Williams gets hurt during the regular season. Draft him in keeper leagues.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 35 catches. 460 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 64.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 99.

  52. Antwaan Randle El, Redskins. Bye: 8.
    No upside here. Look elsewhere.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 43 catches. 510 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 63.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 106.

  53. Austin Collie, Colts. Bye: 6.
AUG. 17 UPDATE: Anthony Gonzalez was out, so both Pierre Garcon and Austin Collie started the preseason opener. Collie was the more impressive wideout of the two, as he caught Manning’s first pass for a first down. He later made a nice diving catch from Curtis Painter. Collie caught all four of his targets.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: Worth a look in keeper leagues. Austin Collie played in a pro-style offense at BYU, and Bill Polian, the guy who drafted Collie, obviously knows what he’s doing. Indianapolis needs a third wideout this year, and the only players Collie has to beat out are Pierre Garcon and Roy Small. At 6-2, 206, Collie can be a touchdown threat down the line.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 36 catches. 425 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 60.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 96.

  54. David Clowney, Jets. Bye: 9.
The Jets didn’t add a receiver in the 2009 NFL Draft, so David Clowney is slated to be the team’s starting split end across from Jerricho Cotchery. Clowney looked great in 2008 preseason action, but never got a chance to prove himself in the regular season because he broke his collarbone. Clowney could be a late-round sleeper worth taking a chance on.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 41 catches. 460 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 58.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 99.

  55. Jabar Gaffney, Broncos. Bye: 7.
Only Jabar Gaffney’s touchdown total was affected by the Tom Brady-to-Matt Cassel downgrade last year. Gaffney posted near-identical stats in 2007 and 2008 (about 37 catches and 460 yards). His scores dropped from five to two.

Now the No. 3 receiver in Denver, we can expect Gaffney to match his 2008 stats.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 37 catches. 460 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 58.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 95.

  56. Sammie Stroughter, Buccaneers. Bye: 8.
Should be able to beat out Maurice Stovall (back issues) and Dexter Jackson (talent issues) as the team’s slot receiver. Sammie Stroughter could be a sleeper in PPR Leagues this year.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 43 catches. 500 yards. 1 total TD.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 56.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 99.

  57. Ronald Curry, Lions. Bye: 7.
In 2006 and 2007, Ronald Curry had a combined 117 receptions, 1,444 yards and five touchdowns. However, Curry struggled with JaMarcus Russell last year and was eventually benched, finishing with 19 receptions for 181 yards. Daunte Culpepper isn’t much better than Russell, but Curry figures to play the slot and should be somewhat effective once Matt Stafford can take over.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 35 catches. 430 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 55.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 90.

  58. Bryant Johnson, Lions. Bye: 7.
Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 31 catches. 375 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 55.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 86.

  59. Jordy Nelson, Packers. Bye: 5.
Jordy Nelson contributed as a rookie, catching 33 passes for 366 yards and two touchdowns. He’ll relinquish a few of his targets to James Jones. Look for bigger numbers once Donald Driver moves on.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 38 catches. 425 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 54.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 92.

  60. Johnnie Lee Higgins, Raiders. Bye: 9.
Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 30 catches. 425 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 54.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 84.

  61. Malcolm Floyd, Chargers. Bye: 5.
Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 23 catches. 350 yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 53.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 76.

  62. Isaac Bruce, 49ers. Bye: 6.
Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 36 catches. 470 yards. 1 total TD.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 53.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 89.

  63. Nate Burleson, Seahawks. Bye: 7.
Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 32 catches. 380 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 50.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 82.

  64. Joey Galloway, Patriots. Bye: 8.
Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 25 catches. 325 yards. 1 total TD.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 38.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 63.

  65. Amani Toomer, None. Bye: TBA.
If you went temporarily insane and drafted Amani Toomer, feel free to drop him; the Chiefs cut Toomer on Tuesday.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 0 catches. 0 yards. 0 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 0.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 0.

  66. Harry Douglas, Falcons. Bye: 4.
AUG. 6 UPDATE: A day after I praised him, Harry Douglas went down with a torn ACL. He’s out for the year.

PREVIOUS UPDATES: Harry Douglas, Atlanta’s starting slot receiver, has been taking Roddy White’s reps at flanker during the Pro Bowl wideout’s holdout. Douglas has been impressive in training camp, and is definitely worth picking up if White gets hurt this season. Keep an eye on the situation.

Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 0 catches. 0 yards. 0 total TDs.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 0.
Projected 2009 PPR Fantasy Points: 0.
