This is the 2024 NFL Combine Stock Report for the safeties. Follow me @walterfootball for updates.

Cole Bishop, S, Utah
Cole Bishop showed off his terrific athleticism at the combine. He began by posting a 39-inch vertical and a 10-4 broad jump, and he added a 4.45 40 time to those numbers. The 40 was impressive considering his size (6-2, 206).

Calen Bullock, S, USC
Calen Bullock didn’t do all the testing drills, opting to just run the 40. He had a nice 40 time, however, with a 4.48. More importantly, he looked terrific and fluid in the drills.

Dominique Hampton, S, Washington
A 4.51 40 time doesn’t sound great for a defensive back, but Dominique Hampton is a 6-2, 215-pound safety, so that sort of result is much better than it may have seemed on the surface. Furthermore, Hampton was able to notch a 39-inch vertical and the best 3-cone time (6.83) among safeties.

Kamren Kinchens, S, Miami
Charlie Campbell was all over this one, reporting that teams see Kamren Kinchens in Round 2. Team sources told Charlie that Kinchens wouldn’t test well. Kinchens did not test well, running a 4.65 40. His broad jump of 9-2 was embarrassing.

Tyler Owens, S, Texas Tech
Tyler “Space Man” Owens had some great aspects to his combine. He was able to record a 41-inch vertical and a ridiculous 12-2 broad jump. However, he couldn’t run the 40 or work out in the on-field drills because he suffered an injury. More worrying, Space Man Owens said some very bizarre things during the media portion, so it’s very possible that he also interviewed poorly.

Tykee Smith, S, Georgia
Tykee Smith was one of the winners among the safeties in the drills, looking extremely fluid. He also showed off some great athleticism, running a 4.46 40 and posting a 36-inch vertical at 202 pounds.

Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, S, Texas Tech
Dadrion Taylor-Demerson had the fastest 40 among all safeties at the combine. He recorded a 4.41 40, and he also was able to notch a 38-inch vertical and a 10-3 broad jump.
