This is the 2024 NFL Combine Stock Report for the cornerbacks. Follow me @walterfootball for updates.

Terrion Arnold didn’t post the best 40 time (4.50), but he notched quality numbers in the jumping categories (37-inch vertical, 10-9 broad jump). Most importantly, Arnold looked incredibly smooth in the drills. Arnold may have established himself as the No. 1 cornerback in this class.

Marcellas Dial showed off some great athleticism at the combine. He ran a 4.46, which is solid for a 6-foot cornerback. Better yet, he notched a 40.5-inch vertical and a 10-9 broad jump.

It’s not a surprise when a Penn State player runs a fast 40. Daequan Hardy did that on Friday with a 4.38 time. He also tied for the best vertical jump (42.5 inches) and recorded a 10-6 broad jump as well.

A 4.50 40 time won’t turn any heads when a cornerback runs that time, but Cam Hart did that at 6-3, 202. His jumping numbers were great (39.5 vertical, 10-10 broad jump), and he looked terrific in the drills.

Jarrian Jones displayed some great athleticism in Indianapolis. He ran a 4.38 40, which was exceptional for a 6-foot cornerback. Jones also notched a 39.5-inch vertical and a 10-9 broad jump.

Kalen King needed a strong combine after a disappointing 2023 campaign. He didn’t deliver, running a 4.61 40. He also didn’t look very good in the drills. There’s some speculation that he may have to move to safety.

Kool-Aid McKinstry was not able to work out at the combine because the medical evaluation revealed that he has a fracture in his foot. This shouldn’t hurt him very much unless this fracture completely prevents him from working out at all for teams during the pre-draft process.

It’s not a surprise that Mex Melton was able to show out at the combine. He posted some great measurables. Included are a 4.39 40 time, a 40.5-inch vertical and an 11-4 broad jump.

Quinyon Mitchell had the fastest 40 time among the cornerbacks until Nate Wiggins ran. Mitchell posted a 4.33 at 6-0, 195. He also recorded a 38-inch vertical. There’s a chance Mitchell could be the top cornerback chosen this April.

Decamerion Richardson turned some heads while running the 40. He timed in at 4.34, which is pretty incredible, considering that he’s 6-2 1/4, 188 pounds. Richardson was also able to notch a 35-inch vertical.

Mike Sainristil is known for his high character and outstanding play at Michigan, but he was able to add some impressive athleticism to his resume. Sainristil had a 4.47 40, but his best numbers came in the jumping drills, as he was able to log a 40-inch vertical and a 10-11 broad jump.

Nate Wiggins ran the fastest 40 of all the defensive backs with a 4.28, but he injured his groin during the run. Also, Charlie Campbell reported that Nate Wiggins has minor character concerns.
