These 2019 Fantasy Football Wide Receivers Rankings will be updated often throughout the spring and summer, so make sure you check back from time to time. 2020 Fantasy Football Rankings - Wide Receivers (Jan. 31):
Top 10 | 11-20 | 21-40 | 41-60 | 61-100

Other Positions: QB | RB | TE | Top 250 | Sleepers | Busts

  1. Dede Westbrook, WR, Jaguars. Bye: 10.
AUG. 23 UPDATE: If the preseason dress rehearsal is any indication, Dede Westbrook may catch 100 passes this year. Nick Foles was locked in on Westbrook, throwing to him on seven of his 10 attempts. Westbrook reeled in four of those balls for 29 yards and a touchdown. Foles and Westbrook developed a strong connection in training camp, so it was nice to see the two thrive together in preseason action. Westbrook looks like a strong fantasy WR3 this season.

Dede Westbrook was Jacksonville’s best receiver last year, but he was hamstrung by awful quarterbacking. Westbrook’s stock is definitely pointing up now with Nick Foles on the team.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 92 catches. 1,090 yards. 8 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 157.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 245.

  2. Amari Cooper, WR, Cowboys. Bye: 6.
AUG. 21 UPDATE: Amari Cooper is dealing with a plantar fascia. He plans on playing through it and is not expected to miss time in the early portion of the season. However, this is something that could linger and may cause Cooper to not play up to his natural ability in some games. I was already down on Cooper, so this is another reason to avoid him.

Amari Cooper thrived in Dallas. He caught 26 passes for 473 yards and five touchdowns in a span of three games, but his numbers declined after that. Cooper doesn’t have the luxury of a good quarterback throwing to him. Cooper also has a long history of dropping passes and quitting on routes, so I’m not very bullish on his 2019 outlook.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 75 catches. 1,040 yards. 7 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 154.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 229.

  3. Josh Gordon, WR, Patriots. Bye: 10.
Josh Gordon has been reinstated. I didn’t think Roger Goodell would handle this so quickly, so he deserves credit for giving Gordon ample time to prepare for the 2019 season. Gordon automatically slots in as a fantasy WR2, helping to add some depth to a very thin position this fantasy season.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 65 catches. 960 yards. 8 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 154.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 219.

  4. Dante Pettis, WR, 49ers. Bye: 4.
AUG. 26 UPDATE: Dante Pettis has to “earn a role on the team,” according to Kyle Shanahan. I’m beginning to think that Shanahan, while being a great offensive coordinator, may not be cut out to be a head coach. Pettis is the best receiver on San Francisco’s roster, so Shanahan’s attitude on this matter is befuddling, to say the least.

AUG. 25 UPDATE: Dante Pettis deserves a stock-up arrow for his performance at Kansas City. He caught three passes for 36 yards, but the important thing is the improvement from Jimmy Garoppolo over what we saw last week. Pettis led all San Francisco players with five targets.

Dante Pettis showed some tremendous potential last year. He came alive in the second half of his rookie campaign, posting at least 77 receiving yards in three of his final five games. Keep in mind that this was done without Jimmy Garoppolo. Pettis accumulated 467 yards and five touchdowns despite barely playing until Week 10. He figures to have a big 2019 season.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 70 catches. 1,090 yards. 7 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 151.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 221.

  5. Curtis Samuel, WR, Panthers. Bye: 7.
AUG. 8 UPDATE: There have been glowing reports about Curtis Samuel in Panthers training camp. Some of these stories tend to be bogus, but I can confirm this is not. A Panthers source of mine gushed about Samuel, so I’m going to add him to the Fantasy Football Sleepers list.

JULY 30 UPDATE: Curtis Samuel’s route running has become “outstanding,” according to Norv Turner. It sounds like Samuel, a second-round pick from 2017, is finally blossoming into a solid receiver. He’ll have an opportunity to become a quality fantasy player in the wake of Devin Funchess’ departure.

Curtis Samuel did nothing in the first year-and-a-half of his career after being the 40th-overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, but he finally was productive in the second half of 2018. He had stat lines of 5-55-1, 6-88, 4-80 and 7-41. Samuel finally saw snaps over Devin Funchess, so he should continue to play better in his third year.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 76 catches. 1,080 yards. 7 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 150.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 226.

  6. Mike Williams, WR, Chargers. Bye: 12.
Mike Williams did nothing his rookie year because of injury. He showed major growth in his second season, however, catching 43 passes for 664 yards and 10 touchdowns. The reception and yardage totals may seem low, but Williams caught fire in the second half of the season and had some nice outputs. His touchdown total isn’t a fluke either, as his big frame translates into scoring opportunities. Williams should continue to build on his progress in 2019.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 63 catches. 900 yards. 10 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 150.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 213.

  7. Brandin Cooks, WR, Rams. Bye: 9.
It may seem odd to call Brandin Cooks’ first season in Los Angeles a dud, given that he caught 80 passes for 1,204 yards and five touchdowns. However, he should’ve done more, given the potency of the offense and Cooper Kupp’s absence in the second half of the year. Jared Goff preferred throwing to Kupp and Robert Woods, and most of Cooks’ production came in five games. He’ll be an overrated fantasy player once again in 2019.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 72 catches. 1,130 yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 149.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 221.

  8. Alshon Jeffery, WR, Eagles. Bye: 10.
Alshon Jeffery’s 2018 season ended on a sour note, as he dropped a pass that turned into a game-ending interception in the divisional round of the playoffs. Beforehand, Jeffery caught 65 passes for 843 yards and six touchdowns in 13 games. He should approach the 1,000-yard mark in 2019 as long as Carson Wentz is completely healthy.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 74 catches. 1,000 yards. 8 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 148.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 222.

  9. Geronimo Allison, WR, Packers. Bye: 11.
Geronimo Allison was one of my top sleepers last year, ranking as the No. 23 fantasy receiver. He was off to a good start – 19 catches, 289 yards, two touchdowns in his first four games – but then was lost for the year with a groin injury. Allison could have a nice season in 2019 if the Packers don’t replace him with another No. 2 receiver.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 71 catches. 1,050 yards. 7 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 147.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 218.

  10. Julian Edelman, WR, Patriots. Bye: 10.
Julian Edelman missed the first four games of 2018 because of a suspension. Despite this, he caught 74 passes in 2018, albeit for 850 yards. Edelman should be able to approach 100 receptions again in 2019, provided Tom Brady doesn’t fall off a cliff.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 94 catches. 1,040 yards. 7 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 146.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 240.

  11. Tyler Boyd, WR, Bengals. Bye: 9.
One of the silver linings during the Bengals’ failed 2018 season was that they found a solid second receiver in Tyler Boyd. The third-year product caught 76 passes for 1,028 yards and seven touchdowns despite missing two games. Boyd, just 24, should continue to develop.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 80 catches. 1,030 yards. 7 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 145.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 225.

  12. Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Broncos. Bye: 10.
AUG. 20 UPDATE: Emmanuel Sanders played for the first time since his devastating injury from late last year. He looked perfectly healthy, as Joe Flacco went to Sanders immediately. Sanders then made a defender miss on an end-around, rushing for 19 yards on the play. Sanders’ final highlight was securing a deep reception from Flacco, but the play was nullified by a penalty. I’m worried about Sanders staying healthy, given the quick turn-around from his injury, but he looked like his former self in this contest.

JULY 19 UPDATE: Emmanuel Sanders has looked explosive in practice, according to Cecil Lammey, 104.3 the Fan. Lammey is a top team reporter, so Sanders must be moved up in the 2019 Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Rankings. However, Sanders is coming off a late-season Achilles tear, so he has a high risk of injury in 2019.

I thought Emmanuel Sanders would catch 100 passes in 2018 because of Case Keenum’s penchant for throwing to slot receivers. Sanders had 71 receptions through 12 games, but tore his Achilles. Now, he’s a 32-year-old coming off a brutal injury, so it’s hard to like him much for 2019.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 74 catches. 940 yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 145.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 219.

  13. DeSean Jackson, WR, Eagles. Bye: 10.
JULY 30 UPDATE: The Carson Wentz-DeSean Jackson connection has been “automatic,” according to Mike Kaye of NJ.com. Jackson has played with mostly mediocre quarterbacks throughout his career, so Carson Wentz is the best passer he’s ever had throwing the ball to him. Jackson provides good value at his 10th-round ADP.

DeSean Jackson got off to a hot start in 2018 and played very well with Ryan Fitzpatrick. He even told the media that he wanted Fitzpatrick to start over Jameis Winston. This wasn’t a surprise, as Jackson has performed much better with Fitzpatrick at the helm. Jackson should do well with Carson Wentz, but he’ll be an inconsistent fantasy option.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 62 catches. 990 yards. 7 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 143.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 205.

  14. Christian Kirk, WR, Cardinals. Bye: 12.
JUNE 10 UPDATE: Christian Kirk has been the best receiver on the Cardinals this offseason, according to Albert Breer. This is obviously saying a lot because Larry Fitzgerald is still on the team. Kirk flashed as a rookie last season, so with some experience and a better quarterback throwing to him, he could have a strong 2019 campaign.

It was Christian Kirk – not Larry Fitzgerald – who was Josh Rosen’s favorite receiver this past season. As a mere rookie, Kirk caught 43 passes for 590 yards and three touchdowns. His numbers will expand with more experience, but we’ll have to see how Kyler Murray meshes with Kirk.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 68 catches. 980 yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 142.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 210.

  15. Corey Davis, WR, Titans. Bye: 11.
Corey Davis had some great performances in 2018, but had more duds. He ended up with 65 receptions for 891 yards and four touchdowns. Unfortunately for Davis, his fantasy outlook isn’t great because Marcus Mariota always seems to be getting injured. Ryan Tannehill provides some nice insurance, but it’s still difficult to love Davis.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 70 catches. 960 yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 140.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 210.

  16. Cooper Kupp, WR, Rams. Bye: 9.
Cooper Kupp was once again Jared Goff’s favorite target, but he was lost for the year in Week 10 with a torn ACL. There’s a chance Kupp may not be 100 percent for the start of the season, given that the injury occurred in mid-November. It’ll be interesting to see if Kupp can suit up for training camp, so his ranking here will fluctuate quite a bit based on whatever news we get.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 60 catches. 820 yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 138.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 198.

  17. Allen Robinson, WR, Bears. Bye: 6.
It seems like ages ago when Allen Robinson accumulated 1,400 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns. That happened in his second season, but he struggled in 2016 and missed all but one game the following season. He was Chicago’s top receiver in 2018, but caught just 55 passes for 754 yards and four touchdowns. Robinson struggled because of Mitchell Trubisky’s inconsistency. Trubisky might improve in his third year, so that makes Robinson a bit of a buy-low target.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 74 catches. 1,000 yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 136.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 210.

  18. James Washington, WR, Steelers. Bye: 7.
AUG. 18 UPDATE: James Washington was brilliant against the Chiefs. Washington caught a tough pass in between multiple defenders, then hauled in an awesome, leaping sideline grab. He followed that up with a 40-yard reception on a bomb from Joshau Dobbs. Washington led the team in receiving with four receptions for 78 yards. Washington is my favorite sleeper receiver. If the Steelers are aware of how talented he is, he’ll receive more snaps than Donte Moncrief.

AUG. 10 UPDATE: James Washington didn’t do much in his rookie campaign, but he displayed that he could end up being a potent No. 2 receiver for the Steelers this year. Washington began the preseason opener by hauling in a 44-yard bomb from Josh Dobbs. He almost secured a touchdown a bit later, but his left toe was out of bounds. Washington bounced back by securing a back-shoulder touchdown catch from Mason Rudolph. Washington finished with four catches for 84 yards and a score in a half of action. I’ve had Washington in my Fantasy Football Sleepers list for a while, and I’m now even more bullish on him.

MAY 25 UPDATE: James Washington has dropped 15 pounds this offseason. Washington now weighs in at 210, meaning he was in the 225 range last year. Given that Washington will have more targets with Antonio Brown gone, it’s encouraging that he’s taking care of his body, which could mean a productive upcoming season.

James Washington, a second-round pick from the 2018 NFL Draft, stands to become Pittsburgh’s new No. 2 receiver with Antonio Brown gone. Washington has high upside in Pittsburgh’s offense, but we’ll see if he lives up to his potential.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 65 catches. 980 yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 134.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 199.

  19. Jarvis Landry, WR, Browns. Bye: 7.
Jarvis Landry’s receptions decreased from 112 to 81 last year, but that’s because the Browns used him as a real receiver, and not just a guy who catches passes at the line of scrimmage. So, while his receptions plummeted, his yards-per-catch average increased from 8.8 to 12. All in all, Landry is an average fantasy receiver who will need his touchdown total (4) to increase. Perhaps he’ll benefit from Odell Beckham Jr.’s presence, as Landry will see easier coverage.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 85 catches. 1,030 yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 133.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 218.

  20. Marvin Jones, WR, Lions. Bye: 5.
Marvin Jones missed half of the 2018 season with a knee injury. He was a very inconsistent player anyhow, and he wasn’t on pace for 1,000 yards. With Matt Patricia wanting a ground-and-pound offense, Jones’ outlook is bleak.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 64 catches. 960 yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 132.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 196.
