2020 Fantasy Football Rankings - Wide Receivers (Sept. 8):
Top 10 | 11-20 | 21-40 | 41-60 | 61-100

Other Positions: QB | RB | TE | Top 250 | Sleepers | Busts

  1. Terry McLaurin, WR, Redskins. Bye: 8.
Scary Terry McLaurin was tremendous as a rookie despite having pedestrian quarterbacking in Washington. McLaurin caught 58 passes for 919 yards and seven touchdowns in 2019. Dwayne Haskins throwing to McLaurin isn’t ideal, but the two developed a rapport late in the year.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 69 catches. 1,090 yards. 8 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 163.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 232.

  2. Tyler Lockett, WR, Seahawks. Bye: 6.
AUG. 14 UPDATE: D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett both stand to benefit from the news brought to light by Russell Wilson, who stated that he’ll be treating the entire 60 minutes of each game “like the fourth quarter.” Metcalf and Lockett should see more targets as a result.

We saw Russell Wilson prefer throwing to D.K. Metcalf later in the year, but this could just mean that Tyler Lockett will see softer coverage in 2020. He’s still a WR2 fantasy option.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 81 catches. 1,140 yards. 8 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 162.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 243.

  3. Robert Woods, WR, Rams. Bye: 9.
Robert Woods proved that 2017 was no fluke. He caught 86 passes for 1,219 yards and six touchdowns in 2018 and then improved the receptions and yardage in 2019 (90, 1,134). Woods has emerged as Jared Goff’s favorite receiver, so he’ll continue to post monster numbers.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 93 catches. 1,260 yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 162.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 255.

  4. A.J. Green, WR, Bengals. Bye: 9.
A.J. Green sat out 2019, which had to be frustrating to those who drafted him. However, this was the best for his career. He turns 32 this offseason, but his fresh legs will help him. His outlook will depend on how quickly Joe Burrow adapts to the NFL.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 82 catches. 1,120 yards. 8 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 160.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 242.

  5. Will Fuller, WR, Texans. Bye: 8.
Will Fuller has trouble staying on the field, but he can almost single-handedly win a fantasy matchup a couple of times per year. If he can manage to stay healthy one of these years, he’ll be one of the top producers at his position, especially with DeAndre Hopkins gone.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 74 catches. 1,100 yards. 8 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 158.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 232.

  6. Deebo Samuel, WR, 49ers. Bye: 11.
JULY 3 UPDATE: It was previously reported that Deebo Samuel could miss 12-16 weeks with a fractured foot. Fortunately, it’s now apparent that Samuel has a “classic” Jones fracture, which means he’ll miss just 10-12 weeks. Samuel could be ready for the season opener, which is huge for his fantasy outlook.

JUNE 18 UPDATE: Deebo Samuel broke his foot and will be out 3-4 months. This is a shame because I loved Samuel’s potential this season. It’s unclear how healthy Samuel will be upon his return, presumably in early October. He could be back to his dominant self, or he could struggle with his troublesome foot all year. He’s still worth drafting in Rounds 7-8 of a 12-team league.

Deebo Samuel had an excellent rookie year for the 49ers, catching 57 passes for 961 total yards. He also scored six total touchdowns. Samuel has major potential, but he has a very low weekly floor because the 49ers sometimes don’t throw very often. Still, Samuel should make a big leap in his sophomore campaign.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 76 catches. 1,070 yards. 8 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 155.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 231.

  7. T.Y. Hilton, WR, Colts. Bye: 7.
T.Y. Hilton’s 2019 fantasy season took a major hit when Andrew Luck retired. Hilton still had a solid year, but his stats – 45 catches, 501 yards, five touchdowns in 10 games – weren’t nearly as good as they would’ve been with Luck. Hilton will bounce back with Philip Rivers now the quarterback of the Colts.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 70 catches. 1,110 yards. 7 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 153.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 223.

  8. Stefon Diggs, WR, Bills. Bye: 11.
Stefon Diggs posted strong numbers last year when considering that the Vikings tried to throw the ball as little as possible. Diggs caught 63 passes for 1,130 yards and six touchdowns. Diggs, however, is now in Buffalo, which is a problem because the Bills have a very crowded receiving corps. Josh Allen’s scrambles will also take opportunities away from Diggs.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 67 catches. 1,100 yards. 7 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 152.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 219.

  9. CeeDee Lamb, WR, Cowboys. Bye: 10.
AUG. 23 UPDATE: CeeDee Lamb has developed a connection with Dak Prescott in training camp. Lamb has been terrific in camp thus far, which is hardly a surprise. He could have a strong rookie campaign, especially in the back half of it.

I had CeeDee Lamb rated slightly lower than Jerry Jeudy, but Lamb’s situation is much better than Jeudy’s, at least at the moment. Lamb plays in a high-powered offense, so he’s the top fantasy rookie receiver.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 70 catches. 1,040 yards. 8 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 152.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 222.

  10. Marquise Brown, WR, Ravens. Bye: 8.
Marquise Brown had quite the debut in the NFL, blazing by the Dolphins for four catches for 147 yards and two touchdowns. Brown didn’t cross the century mark once after that in the regular season, though he had a 7-126 line in the playoffs. With more experience next year, Brown should have a better season.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 64 catches. 1,030 yards. 8 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 151.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 215.

  11. Darius Slayton, WR, Giants. Bye: 11.
Darius Slayton was a breakout receiver late in the year. He had lines of 10-121-2 and 5-154-2 in a couple of games in the second half of the season despite being just a fifth-round rookie. Slayton should continue to emerge as a potent threat as he and Daniel Jones accumulate experience.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 68 catches. 1,020 yards. 8 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 150.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 218.

  12. DeSean Jackson, WR, Eagles. Bye: 9.
AUG. 16 UPDATE: Phillip Lindsay has added 10 pounds of muscle this offseason. Furthermore, Lindsay has been catching everything in training camp thus far, according to top team reporter Cecil Lammey. It’s nice to see Lindsay working very hard as a result of being pissed off by the Melvin Gordon signing. Gordon, however, is still the favorite to start Week 1.

JULY 24 UPDATE: DeSean Jackson said some horrible, anti-Semitic things recently, but the Eagles have announced that he won’t be fired or suspended. Jackson is an idiot, but he has great potential with Carson Wentz this year, as we all saw with his spectacular performance against the Redskins in the 2019 season opener. Jackson is someone I constantly forget to add to my Fantasy Football Sleepers list, so I believe he’s someone to target in the double-digit rounds.

We saw a glimpse of what Carson Wentz and DeSean Jackson would be capable in the 2019 opener when he caught eight passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns. Unfortunately, Jackson played just one game after that, and he left right away with an injury. Jackson is now 33, so it’s fair to wonder if he’ll be able to remain on the field for very long.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 59 catches. 910 yards. 8 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 149.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 208.

  13. Keenan Allen, WR, Chargers. Bye: 10.
Keenan Allen’s outlook took a massive hit this offseason, as the Chargers lost Philip Rivers. This means they’ll either have a raw Justin Herbert or a pedestrian Tyrod Taylor under center in 2020.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 91 catches. 1,040 yards. 7 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 146.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 237.

  14. Tyler Boyd, WR, Bengals. Bye: 9.
AUG. 31 UPDATE: Joe Burrow predicted a big season for Tyler Boyd when he spoke to the media Sunday. Burrow loved targeting the slot at LSU, so it would make sense for Boyd to have a strong 2020 campaign.

With A.J. Green likely to return, and Tee Higgins on the roster, Tyler Boyd’s 2020 fantasy projections have taken a hit.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 84 catches. 1,090 yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 145.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 229.

  15. Cooper Kupp, WR, Rams. Bye: 9.
Cooper Kupp was once Jared Goff’s favorite receiver, but it seems as though Goff “graduated” to Robert Woods down the stretch. In fact, Kupp’s snap counts decreased in some games. Some people may not recognize this, which could mean Kupp will be overdrafted.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 75 catches. 960 yards. 8 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 144.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 219.

  16. Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Saints. Bye: 6.
Emmanuel Sanders and Jimmy Garoppolo were able to gel right away, which was remarkable because in-season trades involving receivers tend to fail more often than not. Given that Sanders played well with Garoppolo, he should be able to thrive with Drew Brees in New Orleans’ high-powered offense.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 76 catches. 1,020 yards. 7 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 144.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 220.

  17. Marvin Jones, WR, Lions. Bye: 5.
Marvin Jones has missed 10 games in the past two seasons, and he turns 30 this spring. There’s cause for concern, but he’ll still be productive if Matthew Stafford is healthy next year.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 70 catches. 980 yards. 7 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 140.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 210.

  18. Diontae Johnson, WR, Steelers. Bye: 8.
Diontae Johnson had some impressive games in his rookie year, ultimately finishing with 59 catches for 680 yards and five touchdowns despite never playing with a healthy Ben Roethlisberger. Johnson is a nice sleeper for 2020, as he could be very productive if Roethlisberger can remain 100 percent.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 72 catches. 950 yards. 7 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 137.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 209.

  19. Jerry Jeudy, WR, Broncos. Bye: 8.
Jerry Jeudy is the best route runner to come into the NFL in a long time, so I think he’ll be productive instantly. Drew Lock is still raw, however, so that could drag Jeudy’s potential. That said, Lock could emerge in his second season, and if so, Jeudy will be a very good fantasy option in his rookie campaign.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 64 catches. 940 yards. 7 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 136.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 200.

  20. Allen Lazard, WR, Packers. Bye: 5.
AUG. 11 UPDATE: Allen Lazard is the “overwhelming favorite” to be the No. 2 receiver on Green Bay’s roster, per a Sports Illustrated report. The Packers got tons of flak for passing on receivers in the 2020 NFL Draft, but perhaps this was because they felt very bullish about Lazard’s outlook. I have Lazard in my 2020 Fantasy Football Sleepers list.

Allen Lazard closed out the year as Aaron Rodgers’ second receiver. The Packers seemed likely to add an upgrade at the position in the NFL Draft, but they didn’t because the front office and coaching staff decided that they hate Rodgers.

Projected 2020 Fantasy Stats: 70 catches. 940 yards. 7 total TDs.
    Projected 2020 Fantasy Points: 136.
Projected 2020 PPR Fantasy Points: 206.
