2017 Fantasy Football – Rookie Dynasty:
    Top 10 | 11-20 | 21-30 | 31-50

  1. David Njoku, TE, Browns
Hue Jackson was willing to let Gary Barnidge go after drafting Njoku, so Jackson must feel Njoku can start early on. Njoku surely will be an asset as a receiver as soon as he’s getting targets, and with Josh Gordon’s reinstatement being declined, there should continue to be plenty of targets for intrepid young players like Njoku, who has the upside of a top-five fantasy tight end in this league.

  2. Mike Williams, WR, Chargers
Williams isn’t an elite talent, but in the right spot, he should be a strong player and consistent fantasy producer. I think the Chargers are the right spot for him, even though there is plenty of competition for targets.

  3. Patrick Mahomes, QB, Chiefs
Mahomes has one of the highest upsides, if not the highest upside, of all the rookie quarterbacks, plus he landed with a solid team and a good coach for quarterback development. A year behind Alex Smith should only help Mahomes in the long run.

  4. JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, Steelers
Smith-Schuster has a similar upside to Corey Davis and landed on one of the best offenses in the league. The only trouble is playing time, but I think Smith-Schuster’s good enough to win time by next season and possibly a starting spot.

  5. Curtis Samuel, WR, Panthers
Samuel is raw, but should fit well in Carolina’s new offense, which will use more short passes with Christian McCaffrey and Samuel now in the mix. Samuel will need to be used well and often to bring fantasy results soon, but he does have the tangibles to provide a spark in many ways.

  6. James Conner, RB, Steelers
Conner was on track to be a top-five running back in the draft before he was diagnosed with cancer. If he can get back on that track and the Steelers don’t want to pay Le’Veon Bell what will likely be an exorbitant amount, we could see Conner as lead back in 3-4 years.

  7. Kareem Hunt, RB, Chiefs
Hunt will need to beat Spencer Ware out for work, and I don’t think that will be an easy task. Of course if Ware goes down with any kind of injury, Hunt could pass him on the depth chart, but all things even, I’m on Ware’s team here. But Hunt is talented and only needs to beat Ware, as Charcandrick West should be an easy step-over.

  8. D’Onta Foreman, RB, Houston
Foreman gets a good offense to join, as the Texans love running the ball, but he will also need to work on passing Lamar Miller on the depth chart. I don’t see that happening quickly due to pass protection and fumbling issues in college. If Foreman can shore those up, I do think he could start cutting into Miller’s work in the second half of this season.

  9. Alvin Kamara, RB, Saints
Kamara landed in the best possible spot possible for his skill set. He could quickly become a fantasy value if he can win the receiving-back role in New Orleans.

  10. Wayne Gallman, RB, Giants
Gallman doesn’t have much wiggle to his running ability, but he can hit a crease and work between the tackles, which isn’t exactly something the Giants have right now. He could be a touchdown producer early in his career.
