2015 Fantasy Football Rankings: Kickers

These 2015 Fantasy Football Kickers Rankings will be updated often throughout the summer, so make sure you check back from time to time. Also, be sure to check out my other 2015 Fantasy Football articles, which will include sleepers, busts, tons of 2015 Fantasy Football mock drafts and other material.

Updated 8/31

  1. Stephen Gostkowski, K, Patriots. Bye: 4.
Stephen Gostkowski missed just two field goals in 2014, hitting 35 of 37. However, he attempted just one kick from 50-plus after going 5-of-6 from that distance in 2013.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 35-38 FG (3-4 from 50+; 10-12 from 40-49). 50 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 171.

  2. Justin Tucker, K, Ravens. Bye: 9.
Justin Tucker was the NFL’s top kicker in 2013, hitting 38-of-41 tries. He didn’t have as many opportunities last season, going 29-of-34, with all of his misses coming from beyond 50 (4-of-9).

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 33-37 FG (5-7 from 50+; 9-11 from 40-49). 43 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 161.

  3. Cody Parkey, K, Eagles. Bye: 8.
Cody Parkey replaced the ineffective Alex Henery and was impressive as a rookie, converting on 32-of-36 tries as a rookie. He hit all four of his 50-yard attempts. As long as Chip Kelly’s running the offense, Parkey will have more opportunities because of the extra possessions. He’s one of fantasy’s top kickers.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 31-36 FG (4-5 from 50+; 6-8 from 40-49). 52 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 159.

  4. Mason Crosby, K, Packers. Bye: 7.
Mason Crosby was awful in 2012, hitting on just 21-of-33 attempts, but he has rebounded nicely the past two years, going 27-of-33 in 2014. He’s 9-of-14 from 50-plus the past couple of seasons.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 28-34 FG (4-7 from 50+; 6-8 from 40-49). 54 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 152.

  5. Dan Bailey, K, Cowboys. Bye: 6.
Dan Bailey is coming off the worst season of his career in terms of overall percentage, yet he hit 25-of-29 tries, including 5-of-7 from 50-plus. He’s one of the NFL’s top kickers.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 27-31 FG (5-6 from 50+; 9-10 from 40-49). 48 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 148.

  6. Steven Hauschka, K, Seahawks. Bye: 9.
Steven Hauschka whiffed on six of 37 tries in 2014; he also went 2-of-4 from 50-plus after going a perfect 3-of-3 from that distance the year before.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 29-34 FG (3-4 from 50+; 9-11 from 40-49). 43 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 145.

  7. Matt Bryant, K, Falcons. Bye: 10.
Matt Bryant hasn’t hit worse than 86.8 percent in the past five seasons. He was even 7-of-10 from 50-plus last year, enjoying the luxury of kicking inside a dome. Bryant will turn 40 this offseason, so he’s bound to slow down soon, but it looks like he’s still going strong.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 28-33 FG (4-6 from 50+; 8-9 from 40-49). 44 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 144.

  8. Adam Vinatieri, K, Colts. Bye: 10.
Adam Vinatieri missed just one field goal during the regular season, but struggled in the playoffs and Pro Bowl. He just turned 42, so he won’t be around much longer.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 26-32 FG (4-6 from 50+; 8-11 from 40-49). 50 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 144.

  9. Randy Bullock, K, Texans. Bye: 9.
Randy Bullock struggled mightily during the first half of his rookie campaign in 2013, but has since been solid. He went 30-of-35 last year, including 4-of-5 from beyond 50.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 29-34 FG (3-5 from 50+; 8-10 from 40-49). 42 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 143.

  10. Dan Carpenter, K, Bills. Bye: 8.
Dan Carpenter didn’t get many extra points because of the offense he played in, but the scoring attack did bog down in or near the red zone, giving Carpenter plenty of opportunities for the second straight year; he went 34-of-38 in 2014.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 31-36 FG (5-7 from 50+; 8-10 from 40-49). 31 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 142.

  11. Josh Scobee, K, Steelers. Bye: 11.
Josh Scobee wasn’t his usual self last year, failing to hit 89.3 percent or better for the first time in four years. He’ll probably revert back to form in 2015, and he’ll have more chances to kick in a better offense.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 25-29 FG (4-5 from 50+; 8-10 from 40-49). 46 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 137.

  12. Caleb Sturgis, K, Dolphins. Bye: 5.
Caleb Sturgis has struggled through two NFL seasons, failing to hit 80 percent of his kicks in either year.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 26-33 FG (3-6 from 50+; 7-10 from 40-49). 42 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 133.

  13. Chandler Catanzaro, K, Cardinals. Bye: 9.
Chandler Catanzaro drilled his first 16 field goal attempts of his career, finishing an impressive 29-of-33 as a rookie. He’ll have more extra-point attempts next year if Carson Palmer stays healthy.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 26-31 FG (2-3 from 50+; 10-12 from 40-49). 39 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 131.

  14. Matt Prater, K, Lions. Bye: 9.
Matt Prater solved Detroit’s early-season kicking woes by hitting 21-of-26 tries, including 3-of-5 from beyond 50. He no longer has the benefit of Denver’s high altitude, but he at least kicks inside a dome now.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 25-31 FG (4-6 from 50+; 7-10 from 40-49). 38 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 128.

  15. Graham Gano, K, Panthers. Bye: 5.
Graham Gano went 6-of-6 from beyond 50 this past season, but was just 1-of-3 from that distance in 2014, going 29-of-35 overall.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 26-32 FG (2-4 from 50+; 8-11 from 40-49). 38 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 128.

  16. Cairo Santos, K, Chiefs. Bye: 9.
Cairo Santos converted 25-of-30 attempts in his rookie season. He tried just two kicks from 50-plus, hitting one.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 26-30 FG (2-3 from 50+; 7-9 from 40-49). 38 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 127.

  17. Josh Brown, K, Giants. Bye: 11.
Josh Brown hadn’t hit more than three field goals from beyond 50 yards in the same season since 2009 prior to this past year. He was a perfect 4-of-4 from that range in 2014, going 24-of-26 overall.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 23-27 FG (2-3 from 50+; 6-7 from 40-49). 46 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 125.

  18. Nick Novak, K, Chargers. Bye: 10.
Nick Novak drilled about 85 percent of his field goals this past season, but didn’t get many chances, going just 22-of-26. He had 37 attempts the year before, so maybe he’ll be somewhere in between in 2015.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 24-29 FG (3-4 from 50+; 5-7 from 40-49). 42 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 125.

  19. Nick Folk, K, Jets. Bye: 5.
Nick Folk has hit 82.1 percent of his field goals or worse in five of his previous six seasons, including last year, when he went 32-of-39. He was 3-of-6 from 50-plus.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 28-35 FG (3-5 from 50+; 8-11 from 40-49). 25 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 123.

  20. Sebastian Janikowski, K, Raiders. Bye: 6.
Sebastian Janikowski, now 37, didn’t get many tries in 2014 because the offense was so inconsistent. He was just 19-of-22. However, the offense should be able to move the chains, but stall in the red zone, giving Janikowski plenty of opportunities.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 26-30 FG (5-7 from 50+; 9-10 from 40-49). 26 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 123.

  21. Blair Walsh, K, Vikings. Bye: 5.
Blair Walsh took the league by storm as a rookie in 2012, drilling 35-of-38 tries. Unfortunately, his percentages have dropped to 86.7 in 2013 and 74.3 in 2014. He can hit 50-yarders with his big leg, but the close whiffs will hurt.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 24-33 FG (4-8 from 50+; 6-9 from 40-49). 36 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 122.

  22. Greg Zuerlein, K, Rams. Bye: 6.
Greg “The Leg” Zuerlein hit five field goals from 50-plus in 2014, but was just 80 percent overall. He plays in a dome, but his offense just isn’t explosive enough to give him many opportunities.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 23-29 FG (4-6 from 50+; 6-8 from 40-49). 37 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 120.

  23. Mike Nugent, K, Bengals. Bye: 7.
Mike Nugent hasn’t been better than 82.6 percent on his kicks since 2011. He’s just 4-of-9 from 50-plus in that span.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 23-29 FG (1-3 from 50+; 7-9 from 40-49). 42 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 120.

  24. Dustin Hopkins, K, Saints. Bye: 11.
The Saints released Shayne Graham this offseason, so they’ll be going with either Dustin Hopkins or Zach Hocker as their kicker. Neither should be drafted.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 22-28 FG (1-3 from 50+; 5-8 from 40-49). 45 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 118.

  25. Brandon McManus, RB, Broncos. Bye: 7.
The Broncos have made some sketchy moves concerning their kickers recently, letting Matt Prater and Connor Barth go in favor of the inferior Brandon McManus.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 20-27 FG (2-4 from 50+; 5-8 from 40-49). 49 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 118.

  26. Kyle Brindza, K, Buccaneers. Bye: 6.
Kyle Brindza was 3-of-3 in the preseason, so the Buccaneers decided to acquire him from Detroit.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 24-30 FG (1-3 from 50+; 7-9 from 40-49). 35 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 116.

  27. Robbie Gould, K, Bears. Bye: 7.
Robbie Gould missed the final four games of the season with a quad injury, but it didn’t matter, as the 2014 campaign was a disaster for most of the Bears. Gould was just 9-of-12.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 23-27 FG (3-4 from 50+; 7-9 from 40-49). 33 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 115.

  28. Phil Dawson, K, 49ers. Bye: 10.
Phil Dawson hit six field goals from 50-plus in 2014, going 25-of-31 overall. He just turned 40 though, so his days of blasting long kicks could be over soon.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 23-30 FG (4-6 from 50+; 5-8 from 40-49). 32 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 114.

  29. Kai Forbath, K, Redskins. Bye: 8.
Kai Forbath had to fight for his job heading into the season, but he managed to hit 24-of-27 attempts. Unfortunately, he didn’t convert a single 50-yarder, whiffing on his only try.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 23-28 FG (1-2 from 50+; 7-9 from 40-49). 35 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 113.

  30. Ryan Succop, K, Titans. Bye: 4.
This past season was the first time since 2009 that Ryan Succop hit better than 82.4 percent of his field goals. He’s not worth a fantasy roster spot, however, as the offense won’t be very successful with a rookie quarterback at the helm.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 22-26 FG (2-3 from 50+; 6-8 from 40-49). 32 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 108.

  31. Jason Myers, K, Jaguars. Bye: 8.
The Jaguars have replaced Josh Scobee with Jason Myers. This Myers guy better be good.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 22-29 FG (1-3 from 50+; 6-9 from 40-49). 34 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 108.

  32. Billy Cundiff, K, Browns. Bye: 11.
Garrett Hartley took over for an ineffective Billy Cundiff late in the year, and he didn’t disappoint. Cundiff is back as the kicker. You don’t want him, given the offense he plays in.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 21-27 FG (1-2 from 50+; 7-9 from 40-49). 26 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 98.

  33. Shaun Suisham, K, Steelers. Bye: 11.
AUG. 11 UPDATE: Shaun Suisham is out for the year with a torn ACL. For more on how this affects the Steelers, check out my Disaster Grades.

AUG. 10 UPDATE: Bad news for the Steelers: Kicker Shaun Suisham suffered what potentially looks like a horrible knee injury. Check back for updates.

Shaun Suisham has drilled at least 90 percent of his field goals over the past three years. Unfortunately, he’s just 2-of-6 from 50-plus in that span.

    Projected 2015 Fantasy Stats: 0-0 FG (0-0 from 50+; 0-0 from 40-49). 0 XP.
    Projected 2015 Fantasy Points: 0.
