2019 Fantasy Football Rankings - Running Backs (Sept. 4):
Top 10 | 11-20 | 21-40 | 41-75

Other Positions: QB | WR | TE | Top 250

  1. Matt Breida, RB, 49ers. Bye: 4.
SEPT. 4 UPDATE: Matt Breida is listed ahead of Tevin Coleman on the depth chart. This doesn’t necessarily mean that Breida will shoulder most of the workload, but it is significant.

Matt Breida looked great at times in 2018, but was banged up way too often. With Tevin Coleman and Jerick McKinnon in front of him, Breida is a non-factor in fantasy at the moment.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 570 rushing yards. 30 catches. 240 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 125.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 155.

  2. Justin Jackson, RB, Chargers. Bye: 12.
JULY 11 UPDATE: Melvin Gordon is threatening to hold out into the regular season, so Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson will need to be bumped up in the rankings. They’ll continue to climb throughout August if Gordon doesn’t report to the team.

Justin Jackson must be picked up if Melvin Gordon is injured. Leave him on the waiver wire otherwise.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 700 rushing yards. 27 catches. 180 receiving yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 124.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 151.

  3. Buddy Howell, RB, Texans. Bye: 10.
Despite the Texans trading for Carlos Hyde, Buddy Howell is the Texan running back I’m most interested in aside from Duke Johnson in PPR formats. Howell was kept out of the preseason finale, which might mean that the Texans envision him as a part of their offense. Howell is worth selecting in the final rounds of non-PPR fantasy drafts, especially in the wake of the Laremy Tunsil trade.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 600 rushing yards. 20 catches. 130 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 123.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 143.

  4. James White, RB, Patriots. Bye: 10.
Perennial playoff hero James White is somehow 27 even though it seems like he’s been around forever. He’ll continue to be Tom Brady’s reliable third-down back. He caught 87 passes in 2018, making him a terrific PPR player. He scored 12 touchdowns last year, but that will regress to the mean.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 280 rushing yards. 81 catches. 630 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 121.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 202.

  5. Jaylen Samuels, RB, Steelers. Bye: 7.
Despite being a former tight end in college, Jaylen Samuels impressed as a backup running back when James Conner got hurt last year. He remained part of the offense, catching seven passes in Week 17 even when Conner returned to action. Samuels will be worth owning in PPR leagues.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 350 rushing yards. 50 catches. 410 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 120.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 170.

  6. Adrian Peterson, RB, Redskins. Bye: 10.
AUG. 16 UPDATE: Derrius Guice is injured, so Adrian Peterson started Washington’s second preseason game. Peterson looked great, gaining 31 yards on four carries. He looked like a spry 25-year-old, which is something Redskins sideline reporter and former Washingtonr running back Clinton Portis agreed with. “Adrian Peterson is probably in better shape than everyone else on the field,” Portis said. I’m not high on Washington this year because of its offensive line, but Peterson is going too late in drafts and can be obtained for value.

JULY 29 UPDATE: The relationship between Trent Williams and the Redskins is “totally fractured,” according to Jason La Canfora. Williams reportedly doesn’t intend to play for the Redskins ever again. This absolutely wrecks Washington’s blocking, and Adrian Peterson will suffer as a result. Peterson had a great 2018 season, but it doesn’t seem as though 2019 will go as well for him.

It was surprising to see Adrian Peterson re-sign with the Redskins, as I thought he would wait for a team to suffer another injury at running back during the preseason. Derrius Guice will be returning this year, but Peterson will still see a healthy workload behind a talented offensive line.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 690 rushing yards. 18 catches. 140 receiving yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 119.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 137.

  7. Kenyan Drake, RB, Dolphins. Bye: 5.
AUG. 15 UPDATE: Kenyan Drake injured his foot and is now in a walking boot. It sounds like he might miss regular-season action, making him more unappealing than he already is.

Adam Gase didn’t trust Kenyan Drake to handle a full workload last season. Even when Frank Gore suffered an injury, Drake split touches with Kalen Ballage. It remains to be seen how the new coaching staff will treat Drake, but the new regime did not bring in a new running back. At the very least, Drake will remain Miami’s receiving back.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 490 rushing yards. 46 catches. 400 receiving yards. 5 total TD.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 119.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 165.

  8. Carlos Hyde, RB, Texans. Bye: 10.
The Texans have traded for Carlos Hyde. He deserves to see his fantasy stock rise, but I’m not sure it should be by a significant amount. Hyde stinks, and his offensive line isn’t very good, despite the addition of Laremy Tunsil. I’m not going to rush to add him to my fantasy teams.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 550 rushing yards. 20 catches. 130 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 118.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 138.

  9. Peyton Barber, RB, Buccaneers. Bye: 7.
Peyton Barber held off Ronald Jones as the Buccaneers’ starter because Jones looked awful in training camp and the preseason. Barber is a pedestrian talent, however, so even if he wins the job again, he won’t be a great option.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 740 rushing yards. 20 catches. 120 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 116.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 136.

  10. Royce Freeman, RB, Broncos. Bye: 10.
JULY 19 UPDATE: Royce Freeman has looked good as a receiver in practice, according to Cecil Lammey, 104.3 the Fan. Lammey is one of the top NFL team reporters, so this story is significant. Freeman is a nice target in the late rounds, but Phillip Lindsay is still the favorite to lead the team in touches.

Royce Freeman was thought to be the Broncos’ primary running back entering 2018, but Phillip Lindsay changed that rather quickly. Lindsay is still the favorite to handle most of the touches, but the new coaching staff could decide that it likes Freeman better.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 620 rushing yards. 15 catches. 80 receiving yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 116.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 131.

  11. Duke Johnson, RB, Texans. Bye: 10.
AUG. 31 UPDATE: The Texans are “actively looking” for a new running back, according to the Houston Chronicle. People seem to think that Duke Johnson’s workload will increase in the wake of Lamar Miller’s injury, but he won’t have that big of a jump in production. My money is on the Texans either signing Jay Ajayi or trading for LeSean McCoy or Melvin Gordon.

Duke Johnson is a very talented receiver out of the backfield, but he seemed to disappear at times last year. This happened mostly when Hue Jackson coached, but it also occurred under Gregg Williams and Freddie Kitchens. With Kareem Hunt on the roster, Johnson won’t see many touches in the second half of the year.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 330 rushing yards. 60 catches. 530 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 116.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 176.

  12. Damien Harris, RB, Patriots. Bye: 10.
JULY 31 UPDATE: Damien Harris has been a natural on passing downs, according to beat writer Jeff Howe. The Patriots seem like they obtained a steal with Harris, who could easily eat into the injured Sony Michel’s workload.

Damien Harris was drafted later than expected, but he’s not in an ideal situation, given how crowded New England’s backfield is. I’d like to say he has more long-term potential, but Sony Michel isn’t going anywhere.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 420 rushing yards. 36 catches. 280 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 114.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 150.

  13. Jay Ajayi, RB, TBA. Bye: 0.
Jay Ajayi missed most of 2018 because of a torn ACL. He should be 100 percent for 2019, but he remains unsigned, so his outlook obviously depends on whom he signs with.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 580 rushing yards. 14 catches. 90 receiving yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 113.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 127.

  14. Ronald Jones, RB, Buccaneers. Bye: 7.
AUG. 21 UPDATE: Ronald Jones is dealing with swelling in his knee. This is obviously bad news for his fantasy outlook, and it only helps O’Gun, Bow & Ale (Dare Ogunbowale.)

AUG. 8 UPDATE: Peyton Barber, who has been getting the majority of the first-team reps in training camp, will start the preseason opener. This is a blow to Ronald Jones, obviously, though Jones could still win the starting job.

MAY 30 UPDATE: Ronald Jones has been “showing out” in practices this offseason, according to Jameis Winston. If you’re worried that this is just a typical offseason puff piece, consider that there were plenty of negative stories about Jones last summer. Jones has a chance to rebound in his sophomore campaign.

Ronald Jones looked awful in training camp and the preseason last summer, and he never improved. There’s no guarantee he’ll make the final 53-man roster, but the Buccaneers will certainly give him a chance to redeem himself. Jones makes for a great late-round flier.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 550 rushing yards. 24 catches. 160 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 111.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 135.

  15. C.J. Anderson, RB, Lions. Bye: 5.
C.J. Anderson was an afterthought after the Raiders and Panthers both cut him last season, but he was terrific down the stretch for the Rams. He signed with the Lions and should take away some carries from Kerryon Johnson. I wouldn’t draft him, but make sure you add him on waivers if Johnson gets hurt.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 500 rushing yards. 10 catches. 70 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 107.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 117.

  16. Malcolm Brown, RB, Rams. Bye: 9.
Malcolm Brown has a chance to take over as the starter if Todd Gurley has to sit because of his knees.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 460 rushing yards. 5 catches. 30 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 103.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 108.

  17. Jamaal Williams, RB, Packers. Bye: 11.
Jamaal Williams should be rostered if Aaron Jones is injured. Don’t bother with him otherwise, as Williams is the clear backup behind Jones.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 440 rushing yards. 20 catches. 150 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 102.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 122.

  18. Dion Lewis, RB, Titans. Bye: 11.
Dion Lewis was getting more of a workload than Derrick Henry early in the year, but that changed beginning with Henry’s ridiculous performance on a Thursday night versus Jacksonville. Lewis will continue to play second fiddle to Henry, though he’ll still serve as the team’s receiving back.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 480 rushing yards. 50 catches. 350 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 101.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 151.

  19. Rashaad Penny, RB, Seahawks. Bye: 11.
AUG. 22 UPDATE: Rashaad Penny continues to fall further behind Chris Carson, according to NBC Sports Northwest. This has been apparent in the preseason games, as Chris Carson has handled most of the workload.

AUG. 18 UPDATE: Rashaad Penny had a touch or two sprinkled in with the first team against the Vikings, but he mostly played with the backups. Penny struggled to find running room all evening, finishing with minus-2 yards on six carries. He’s clearly behind Chris Carson, and it doesn’t seem as though he’s going to pass the veteran anytime soon.

JUNE 9 UPDATE: Rashaad Penny sought to improve his conditioning this offseason. As a result, he lost 15 pounds. Penny has been working with Marshall Faulk this offseason to improve his game as well. Chris Carson is going earlier than Penny in fantasy mock drafts thus far, but Penny is a former first-round pick with tons of upside heading into 2019.

Rashaad Penny was projected by many to be the starting running back in Seattle last year, but he disappointed in training camp and lost the job to Chris Carson. However, Penny looked terrific at times in 2018, so it’s definitely not out of the question for him to emerge as the starter in 2019.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 460 rushing yards. 14 catches. 100 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 101.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 115.

  20. Giovani Bernard, RB, Bengals. Bye: 9.
Giovani Bernard will continue to serve as Cincinnati’s receiving back, despite Joe Mixon having control of the majority of the carries. Bernard will be worth adding if Mixon gets hurt, but he shouldn’t be drafted in 12-team leagues.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 290 rushing yards. 37 catches. 320 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 99.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 136.

  21. Chris Thompson, RB, Redskins. Bye: 10.
A better real-life player than fantasy option, Chris Thompson had several big performances as a pass-catcher in Washington’s offense, particularly in Week 2 when he caught 13 passes. Unfortunately, he has trouble staying healthy, as he’s missed six games in each of the past two years.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 310 rushing yards. 50 catches. 410 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 96.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 146.

  22. Nyheim Hines, RB, Colts. Bye: 6.
Nyheim Hines will continue to act as a very poor man’s Darren Sproles in the Colts’ offense. He’s worth way more in PPR formats, as he caught 63 passes as a rookie.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 160 rushing yards. 68 catches. 490 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 95.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 163.

  23. Alexander Mattison, RB, Vikings. Bye: 12.
Alexander Mattison figures to be Dalvin Cook’s direct backup. Given what we know about Cook’s durability, Mattison could start at some point in his rookie year and eventually take over as the starter.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 400 rushing yards. 14 catches. 80 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 91.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 105.

  24. Frank Gore, RB, Bills. Bye: 6.
Frank Gore signed with the Bills. LeSean McCoy may not start for much longer, but Buffalo drafted Devin Singletary, which puts a dark cloud over Gore’s outlook.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 550 rushing yards. 10 catches. 80 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 91.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 101.

  25. Jalen Richard, RB, Raiders. Bye: 6.
Jon Gruden called Jalen Richard the next Charlie Garner. Richard, unfortunately, isn’t built to shoulder a heavy workload, but he can catch passes very effectively. He logged 68 receptions in 2018. He’ll complement Josh Jacobs as Oakland’s receiving back.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 240 rushing yards. 60 catches. 540 receiving yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 90.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 150.

  26. Mike Weber, RB, Cowboys. Bye: 10.
Mike Weber figures to be Ezekiel Elliott’s direct backup if he can beat out Darius Jackson, so he might be a handcuff for the immediate future. I wouldn’t say he has much long-term potential, however.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 380 rushing yards. 10 catches. 60 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 88.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 98.

  27. Darren Sproles, RB, TBA. Bye: 0.
Darren Sproles talked about retiring after the 2018 season, but there’s speculation he could return for another year. Sproles is a better real-life back than fantasy player.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 240 rushing yards. 48 catches. 380 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 86.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 134.

  28. Ito Smith, RB, Falcons. Bye: 9.
With Tevin Coleman gone, Ito Smith will be Devonta Freeman’s new direct backup. The Judge shouldn’t be drafted, but pick him up ASAP if Freeman suffers an injury.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 350 rushing yards. 8 catches. 50 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 84.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 92.

  29. Tony Pollard, RB, Cowboys. Bye: 8.
SEPT. 4 UPDATE: Tony Pollard is no longer draftable in all leagues. He can be dropped if you drafted him already.

AUG. 25 UPDATE: With Ezekiel Elliott continuing his holdout, Tony Pollard once again started in Dallas’ backfield. Pollard looked great yet again, picking up 26 yards on six carries. He also caught two passes for 10 receiving yards. His numbers would have been better had a long reception of his not been wiped out by a block in the back. The NFL season begins for the Cowboys in exactly two weeks, yet Elliott hasn’t ended his holdout yet. If you draft Elliott, you must secure Pollard as a handcuff.

AUG. 18 UPDATE: Tony Pollard started in Hawaii and was very impressive. Pollard picked up 42 yards on five carries, scoring a touchdown in the process. The score was special, as Pollard trampled over a defender and ran like a freight train into the end zone. He was going against backups, but Pollard has looked good otherwise. He’s worth a late-round flier just in case Elliott misses time in the regular season.

With Ezekiel Elliott 50-50 to play in Week 1, according to Tony Romo, rookie Tony Pollard must be moved up the 2019 Fantasy Football Rankings. Jerry Jones talked up Pollard recently, so the Memphis product is the favorite to start the opener if Elliott’s holdout were to continue.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 320 rushing yards. 14 catches. 80 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 83.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 97.

  30. Chase Edmonds, RB, Cardinals. Bye: 12.
Chase Edmonds once again figures to be David Johnson’s direct backup. He’ll obviously be worth grabbing on the waiver wire if Johnson were to get hurt, but don’t expect too much.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 300 rushing yards. 20 catches. 140 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 82.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 102.

  31. Theo Riddick, RB, Lions. Bye: 5.
Theo Riddick should continue to serve as Detroit’s pass-catching back, though Kerryon Johnson will eat into his touches.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 180 rushing yards. 53 catches. 410 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 79.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 132.

  32. Rex Burkhead, RB, Patriots. Bye: 10.
Rex Burkhead is a 4.80 40 plodder, but he catches passes well and steals touchdowns from better players.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 300 rushing yards. 28 catches. 240 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 78.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 106.

  33. Jordan Scarlett, RB, Panthers. Bye: 7.
Jordan Scarlett might have a chance to unseat Cameron Artis-Payne as Carolina’s No. 2 running back. If so, Scarlett will be worth monitoring on the waiver wire.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 320 rushing yards. 10 catches. 60 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 76.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 86.

  34. Ryquell Armstead, RB, Jaguars. Bye: 10.
Ryquell Armstead has a chance to be Jacksonville’s No. 2 running back this year, which is a big deal because Leonard Fournette couldn’t stay healthy last year.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 350 rushing yards. 6 catches. 40 receiving yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 71.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 77.

  35. Elijah McGuire, RB, Jets. Bye: 4.
Elijah McGuire finished the season as the Jets’ starting running back, but only because Isaiah Crowell and Bilal Powell were injured. The Jets signed Le’Veon Bell, but McGuire is his direct backup and should be picked up on waivers if Bell goes down.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 250 rushing yards. 12 catches. 90 receiving yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 66.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 78.

  36. Wayne Gallman, RB, Giants. Bye: 11.
Wayne Gallman will be a mediocre option if Saquon Barkley were to suffer an injury.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 200 rushing yards. 15 catches. 80 receiving yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 60.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 75.

  37. Devontae Booker, RB, Broncos. Bye: 10.
Devontae Booker is Denver’s third-down back. He’ll need injuries to Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman to become relevant.

Projected 2010 Fantasy Stats: 150 rushing yards. 35 catches. 250 receiving yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2010 Fantasy Points: 52.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 87.

  38. Gus Edwards, RB, Ravens. Bye: 8.
Gus Edwards took over as the Ravens’ starting running back late in the year. He rushed for 718 yards on just 137 carries. Edwards will need Mark Ingram and probably Justice Hill to get injured in order to have a chance to see a big workload again.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 150 rushing yards. 5 catches. 40 receiving yards. 1 total TD.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 45.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 50.

  39. Spencer Ware, RB, Colts. Bye: 12.
Spencer Ware signed on with the Colts to be Marlon Mack’s direct backup. He won’t be worth owning unless Mack gets hurt.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 0 rushing yards. 0 catches. 0 receiving yards. 0 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 0.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 0.

  40. Lamar Miller, RB, Texans. Bye: 10.
AUG. 25 UPDATE: Lamar Miller was carted off when he received his first touch of the preseason. It’s possible that he could be out for the year, so if you’re drafting this weekend, you’ll want to avoid him at all cost. Miller was already on our Fantasy Football Busts list, so chances are you weren’t going to consider him anyway. Still, I wonder if the Texans will sign Jay Ajayi or trade for LeSean McCoy or Melvin Gordon. They need to address the position because they have nothing else at running back besides Duke Johnson.

The Houston coaching staff doesn’t trust Lamar Miller to handle a full workload, so it’ll mix in D’Onta Foreman heavily this season.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 0 rushing yards. 0 catches. 0 receiving yards. 0 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 0.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 0.

  41. Jerick McKinnon, RB, 49ers. Bye: 4.
SEPT. 1 UPDATE: Jerick McKinnon has been placed on injured reserve. It’s a shame, as he just can’t get healthy. San Francisco will move forward with Tevin Coleman and Matt Breida as the top two backs.

AUG. 29 UPDATE: Jerick McKinnon suffered a setback in his return to practice Tuesday. McKinnon can’t get healthy and isn’t worthy of a fantasy selection at this point.

AUG. 12 UPDATE: Jerick McKinnon is projected to begin the year on injured reserve. McKinnon is still dealing with his knee problem. This obviously puts him off any sort of fantasy radar, and it boosts Tevin Coleman and Matt Breida.

The 49ers grossly overpaid Jerick McKinnon last offseason. It seemed as though he would become a big part of their offense in 2019 after missing all of 2018 with a torn ACL, but the 49ers signed Tevin Coleman this spring to take over lead back duties.

Projected 2019 Fantasy Stats: 0 rushing yards. 0 catches. 0 receiving yards. 0 total TDs.
    Projected 2019 Fantasy Points: 0.
Projected 2019 PPR Fantasy Points: 0.
