Isaiah World Prospect Preview

By Charlie Campbell

Career Recap:

World was the starting left tackle at Nevada the past two seasons after starting at right tackle as a freshman. After the 2024 season, World entered the transfer portal and Oregon won his services.

2025 Season Outlook:

World will take on some quality opponents in 2025. The best games to watch him could include Penn State (Oct. 27), Iowa (Nov. 8), USC (Nov. 22), and Washington (Nov. 29).

Prospect Summary:

Every year in the NFL, there are times when teams are struggling on the offensive line and looking for young talent to upgrade their blocking units. With World’s skill set, he has the potential to be an effective starter and help protect a franchise quarterback.

As a pass blocker, World has a natural build with good size, strength, and length to play on the edge. He does a nice job of sinking his weight to stop bull rushes, and he shows an impressive ability to kill speed to power attempts. World does an excellent job of sustaining his blocks with the upper body strength to tie up defenders. With quickness off the ball, World gets some depth in his drop, and he is quick out of his stance. With impressive athleticism, World keeps his feet moving to cut off the corner from speed rushes and give his quarterback the necessary time to get the ball out. World has an excellent skill set to neutralize edge rushers.

In the ground game, World uses his strong upper body to knock defenders back and push them around. He has real power at the point of attack and blocks with a mean streak. With overwhelming mass, he can knock defenders flat on their backs and will bury them with a violent pancake block. Other plays World shows that he can twist, turn, and manipulate his defender to wall them away from his back. World uses his length and strength to sustain blocks and does not give up second effort plays.

World looks like he has the potential to be a special prospect, but he needs to prove he can be just as effective going against a higher level of competition. If he dominates at Oregon, World’s draft stock could skyrocket.

2026 NFL Draft Expectations:

Entering the 2025 season, World looks like he has early-round potential for the 2026 NFL Draft.
