2016 Fantasy Football Rankings - Running Backs (Sept. 7):
Top 10 | 11-20 | 21-40 | 41-75

  1. Duke Johnson, RB, Browns. Bye: 13.
Duke Johnson was given double-digit carries just twice in his rookie campaign, which is understandable because he wasn’t very effective as a runner, averaging 3.6 YPC. However, he was solid in PPR formats, thanks to his 61 receptions. It’s unknown how the new coaching staff will use Johnson, however.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 380 rushing yards. 71 catches. 590 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 126.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 197.

  2. Derrick Henry, RB, Titans. Bye: 13.
Derrick Henry will likely have a chance to start several games this year, given DeMarco Murray’s durability issues. However, Henry was always overrated by the public, as most teams thought he was just a second-round guy. I imagine other owners in your league will be more optimistic about Henry’s outlook, so I think I’d avoid him.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 330 rushing yards. 25 catches. 240 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 125.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 140.

  3. Devontae Booker, RB, Broncos. Bye: 11.
AUG. 14 UPDATE: Devontae Booker is practicing ahead of Ronnie Hillman this week. Try to pick up Booker late in your draft. He might end up starting this season.

JULY 25 UPDATE: Devontae Booker flashed as a receiver in OTAs, per Jeff Legwold, ESPN. It sounds like Booker should be able to lock up third-down duties pretty quickly. He’s a legitimate sleeper, especially given C.J. Anderson’s habit of beginning seasons slowly.

If C.J. Anderson gets off to another slow start, the Broncos may decide to give a bunch of touches to Devontae Booker. Some believed the Utah prospect was the second-best running back in the 2016 class. Take a chance with Booker late in your draft, and it could really pay off.

Projected 2010 Fantasy Stats: 550 rushing yards. 28 catches. 220 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2010 Fantasy Points: 122.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 150.

  4. Isaiah Crowell, RB, Browns. Bye: 13.
JULY 12 UPDATE: Isaiah Crowell exposed himself as a scumbag cop-hater by tweeting a picture of a police officer getting his throat slit. Crowell has since apologized, but the Browns have correctly stated that an apology wasn’t enough. It sounds as though Crowell could be suspended, which is an obvious hit to his fantasy stock.

Isaiah Crowell is very talented, but he hasn’t been able to put it together quite yet. The fact that he lost Alex Mack hurts, and it’s unclear what the new Browns’ coaching staff will do in terms of their running back rotation.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 670 rushing yards. 18 catches. 150 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 122.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 140.

  5. James White, RB, Patriots. Bye: 9.
AUG. 21 UPDATE: James White gets a stock up for Dion Lewis’ knee injury. White is now draftable in the mid-to-late rounds, especially in PPR formats. Just don’t get too excited, as White isn’t a very good player. He’ll be splitting touches with LeGarrette Blount.

James White will be a viable PPR option again if Dion Lewis gets hurt, which will probably happen. Otherwise, he’s not worth owning.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 340 rushing yards. 45 catches. 370 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 121.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 166.

  6. Chris Ivory, RB, Jaguars. Bye: 5.
The Jaguars vastly overpaid Chris Ivory this offseason, so he’ll have some sort of role. He’ll likely be used as the goal-line back. People in touchdown leagues can consider him, but he’s just late-round fodder otherwise.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 680 rushing yards. 12 catches. 80 receiving yards. 7 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 118.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 130.

  7. Josh Ferguson, RB, Colts. Bye: 10.
AUG. 14 UPDATE: Rookie running back Josh Ferguson didn’t impress in the preseason opener. He mustered only three yards on eight carries. I’ll still consider him in the late rounds for now, given Frank Gore’s age, but I’m less excited about him right now. He didn’t look like anything special.

AUG. 4 UPDATE: Josh Ferguson has “flashed consistently” in training camp according to media reports. With Frank Gore on his last legs, Ferguson is worth owning because he could take over as the starter at some point in his rookie season.

Kevin Bowen of Colts.com wrote that Josh Ferguson has the potential to be “special.” Ferguson has a golden opportunity this year, as his only competition is the aging Frank Gore. He’s definitely worth drafting late.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 520 rushing yards. 15 catches. 100 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 109.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 124.

  8. James Starks, RB, Packers. Bye: 4.
James Starks was the better running back at times last season, but he had a fumbling issue that prevented him from playing ahead of Cheeseburger Eddie. Starks was brought back, but he probably won’t see much of a workload with Eddie Lacy being thin again.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 420 rushing yards. 32 catches. 270 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 108.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 140.

  9. Robert Kelley, RB, Redskins. Bye: 9.
AUG. 27 UPDATE: With Matt Jones out for the third preseason game, Robert Kelley started and was very impressive. Kelley, who has been talked up by the coaching staff and media throughout the entire preseason, tallied 51 yards on 12 carries. He did this without breaking free for a double-digit gain, so he was consistent in picking up positive yardage. Kelley looked strong as a runner, shedding numerous tackles. He also did very well on blitz pick-ups, which is absolutely huge, as it’ll give the coaching staff more trust in him. I’m going to recommend Kelley as a late-round target in your fantasy drafts. Jones isn’t all that great, and he doesn’t have an extensive track record of starting. Kelley has upside, and he could potentially post RB2 numbers if he were ever to become the starter for whatever reason.

The Redskins have hinted that Robert Kelley is the team’s new No. 2 running back. Chris Thompson will still be the third-down back, but Kelley will likely start if Matt Jones is out. Considering that Jones is already banged up, this is significant.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 440 rushing yards. 12 catches. 70 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 106.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 118.

  10. Tevin Coleman, RB, Falcons. Bye: 11.
Tevin Coleman was the presumed starter heading into 2015, but following an injury, Devonta Freeman was given an opportunity, and he never looked back. Coleman is now just a handcuff, and a pretty mediocre one at that.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 500 rushing yards. 20 catches. 150 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 105.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 125.

  11. Isaiah Pead, RB, Dolphins. Bye: 5.
Kenyan Drake will likely open the regular season on the designated-return IR list, reports Barry Jackson, Miami Herald. Once upon a time, Drake was a top sleeper of mine. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to stay healthy. I like Isaiah Pead as a sleeper now; he’s been Miami’s best running back this preseason, and this injury will pretty much ensure that he’ll make the final roster.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 410 rushing yards. 28 catches. 210 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 105.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 133.

  12. C.J. Spiller, RB, Saints. Bye: 5.
AUG. 27 UPDATE: I can’t believe I’m writing this, but C.J. Spiller actually looked good in the third preseason game. Though he was demoted to fourth on the depth chart a few weeks ago, Spiller saw plenty of action with the first team, showing great burst on his four carries, which he turned into 20 yards. He also caught three passes, featuring a great spin move to break away from a defender. As for Mark Ingram, he had 17 nondescript yards on seven attempts.

JULY 18 UPDATE: C.J. Spiller is on the roster bubble, according to Nick Underhill of the New Orleans Advocate. This can’t be a shock to anyone. Spiller is undraftable in all leagues.

JUNE 21 UPDATE: C.J. Spiller is behind Tim Hightower in the Saints’ running back rotation, per Larry Holder, New Orleans Times-Picayune. Don’t bother drafting Spiller. He’s guaranteed to disappoint you.

C.J. Spiller caught 34 passes in 2015, but was a bust overall. There’s no reason to think that he’ll finally live up to expectations.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 350 rushing yards. 36 catches. 270 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 102.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 138.

  13. Dion Lewis, RB, Patriots. Bye: 9.
AUG. 21 UPDATE: Dion Lewis needs a second surgery on his knee. Lewis seems to be headed for the PUP list, so he’ll return Week 7 at the earliest. This is a blow to New England’s offense, as James White isn’t nearly as talented as Lewis.

AUG. 6 UPDATE: There are conflicting reports on Dion Lewis, hence the stock up and down for today. Ben Volin of the Boston Globe wrote that Lewis could be starting the season on the PUP list. Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald, however, cites that Lewis won’t be on the PUP list. Howe’s language was stronger, so I’ll trust him right now. Still, this is a reminder that the injury-prone Lewis is not a safe pick.

Dion Lewis was fantastic early in the season, averaging 4.8 YPC and catching 36 passes in just seven games. Lewis tore his ACL, unfortunately, reinforcing the fact that he’s very injury-prone. However, as long as Lewis is healthy, he’ll rack up a ton of receptions as Tom Brady’s safety valve.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 240 rushing yards. 35 catches. 280 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 101.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 136.

  14. Shane Vereen, RB, Giants. Bye: 8.
Shane Vereen nearly had as many catches (59) as carries (61) last year. He’s a viable PPR bye-week filler, but he doesn’t get enough touches overall to warrant usage in standard formats.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 240 rushing yards. 62 catches. 500 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 98.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 160.

  15. Terrance West, RB, Ravens. Bye: 8.
SEPT. 5 UPDATE: Justin Forsett is back on the roster, and Terrance West owners’ hopes and dreams have gone up in smoke.

SEPT. 3 UPDATE: Terrance West is the likely Week 1 starter in the wake of the Justin Forsett release, so he’s worth adding. However, I’m not sure he’ll hold the job the entire year, as Kenneth Dixon looked great in the preseason.

AUG. 12 UPDATE: One of the few offensive players of note for the Ravens during the preseason opener was Terrance West. The sleeper running back has been hyped in training camp, and his great practices translated onto the field. West gained 25 yards on nine carries, scoring twice. West came off the bench in relief of Buck Allen, but looked good, with his best run being a burst of eight yards in which he managed to impressively break tackle. He’s worth looking into late in your draft.

Terrance West has been the most impressive running back for the Ravens this offseason, according to Mike Preston, Baltimore Sun. This is actually the second positive report on West this summer, and offensive coordinator Marc Trestman backed that up. West’s ADP is 13.09 as of this writing, so he’s worth a late-round pick.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 550 rushing yards. 10 catches. 60 receiving yards. 6 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 97.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 107.

  16. Jay Ajayi, RB, Dolphins. Bye: 8.
SEPT. 2 UPDATE: The Dolphins didn’t play their starters in the preseason finale, yet Jay Ajayi was on the field. That’s very telling for what Miami plans on doing, as it basically cements Arian Foster’s role as the starter until he sustains an injury, likely in late September or early October. Ajayi performed poorly, fumbling on the first carry of the game. Ajayi then ripped off a 16-yard run, but was stuffed on his other two opportunities, finishing with 13 yards on three attempts. He also dropped a pass. I’m not convinced that Ajayi will be Miami’s starter when Foster gets hurt. It could definitely be Isaiah Pead.

AUG. 13 UPDATE: With Arian Foster and Kenyan Drake out, Jay Ajayi started the preseason opener. He had a bad moment, however, when he was nearly responsible for an interception. He dropped a pass, and the ball popped into the hands of a Giants linebacker. The defender had one toe out of bounds, so it wasn’t a turnover. Ajayi was given two carries, but mustered only six yards. He’s being overdrafted at his eighth-round ADP.

AUG. 3 UPDATE: Jay Ajayi has missed several practices with a knee injury. Ajayi has a history of knee maladies, so this is significant. He doesn’t hold much fantasy relevance, as he’s a poor fit for Adam Gase’s offense.

JULY 19 UPDATE: Jay Ajayi wasn’t going to be the starting running back on the Dolphins for very long because he’s a poor fit for Adam Gase’s offense. The Arian Foster signing hurts those in the know, unfortunately, given that clueless drafts won’t be selecting Ajayi in the fifth round now.

JUNE 21 UPDATE: Jay Ajayi has had trouble with receiving. This is a big deal, as Adam Gase said that this was an important element for his running backs. Kenyan Drake could overtake Ajayi as a result.

Jay Ajayi will be the default starter with Lamar Miller gone, but the Dolphins drafted Kenyan Drake in the third round to perhaps take over as the lead back. This is a murky situation that should be avoided until we get some clarity in the preseason.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 480 rushing yards. 13 catches. 80 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 96.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 109.

  17. Tim Hightower, RB, Saints. Bye: 5.
JULY 18 UPDATE: Tim Hightower is the favorite to be Mark Ingram’s backup. What about C.J. Spiller? Well, according to Nick Underhill of the New Orleans Advocate, Spiller is actually on the roster bubble. I wouldn’t draft Tim Hightower until extremely late, but he’s worth monitoring on the waiver wire.

Tim Hightower of Oldtown was solid while replacing Mark Ingram, leaving many wondering why he was out of the NFL for so long. Hightower is a fine handcuff, but I wouldn’t draft him in 12-team leagues.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 380 rushing yards. 16 catches. 110 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 93.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 109.

  18. Chris Thompson, RB, Redskins. Bye: 9.
Washington’s third-down back, Chris Thompson won’t be a viable fantasy option in non-PPR leagues unless Matt Jones gets hurt.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 310 rushing yards. 38 catches. 270 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 92.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 130.

  19. Darren Sproles, RB, Eagles. Bye: 4.
Darren Sproles is too inconsistent to utilize outside of PPR formats. Besides, he’ll turn 33 in June, so he could have less of an impact in 2016.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 270 rushing yards. 53 catches. 390 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 90.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 143.

  20. Buck Allen, RB, Ravens. Bye: 8.
Buck Allen was a solid pass-catcher in his rookie campaign, snatching 45 balls. However, he averaged just 3.8 YPC and had some fumbling issues. He’s not a good handcuff, as Kenneth Dixon could take his job.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 300 rushing yards. 30 catches. 240 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 87.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 117.

  21. Theo Riddick, RB, Lions. Bye: 10.
Theo Riddick was useful in PPR formats last year despite rushing for just 133 yards. He caught 80 passes, but I expect that number to drop with Ameer Abdullah set to become a larger part of the offense.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 120 rushing yards. 69 catches. 550 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 85.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 154.

  22. Charcandrick West, RB, Chiefs. Bye: 5.
Charcandrick West did a solid job of replacing Jamaal Charles in the second half of the season, averaging 4.0 YPC and catching 20 passes. He’ll be worth adding if Charles gets hurt again, but he currently belongs on the waiver wire.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 350 rushing yards. 15 catches. 110 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 84.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 99.

  23. Jordan Howard, RB, Bears. Bye: 9.
SEPT. 2 UPDATE: Jordan Howard was very impressive in the preseason finale, gaining 107 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. He was terrific in every regard. He moved piles, dragged defenders, displayed balanced and showcased his athleticism and power. The Cleveland announcers were very impressed, citing that John Fox “may have found his new running back.” Howard is worth a late-round flier if you’re drafting this weekend.

Matt Forte is gone, and Jeremy Langford was just fine (definitely not great) last year in Forte’s place, so there’s definitely an opportunity here for Jordan Howard. You could do worse in the final rounds of your re-draft league.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 380 rushing yards. 4 catches. 20 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 83.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 87.

  24. Jerick McKinnon, RB, Vikings. Bye: 6.
Jerick McKinnon is an OK handcuff, especially when considering that Adrian Peterson turned 31 this offseason. However, I don’t believe in owning handcuffs unless they happen to be great ones.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 330 rushing yards. 26 catches. 180 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 82.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 108.

  25. Alfred Morris, RB, Cowboys. Bye: 7.
Poor Alfred Morris signed with the Cowboys, perhaps thinking he could start once Darren McFadden sustained his inevitable injury. Morris will barely see action now.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 330 rushing yards. 2 catches. 10 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 82.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 84.

  26. Alfred Blue, RB, Texans. Bye: 9.
Alfred Blue will have to fight Tyler Ervin to be Lamar Miller’s backup. He’s not draftable.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 420 rushing yards. 12 catches. 80 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 78.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 90.

  27. Chris Johnson, RB, Cardinals. Bye: 9.
Chris Johnson surprised everyone by looking competent to open the 2015 season. However, he eventually wore down, failing to average more than 3.6 YPC in his final four games. He’s an afterthought with David Johnson emerging.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 360 rushing yards. 4 catches. 20 receiving yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 75.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 79.

  28. C.J. Prosise, RB, Seahawks. Bye: 5.
AUG. 10 UPDATE: Pete Carroll on C.J. Prosise: “He has missed a ton, there’s no other way to put it.” Prosise was once considered a sleeper, but he hasn’t practiced enough to warrant that distinction anymore.

AUG. 2 UPDATE: C.J. Prosise is expected to miss one to two weeks with a strained hamstring. These types of soft-tissue injuries tend to linger, so no one should be surprised if Prosise is out longer. This is obviously bad news, as Prosise, being a rookie, needs all the reps he can get.

C.J. Prosise won’t see as many carries as Thomas Rawls – barring injury, of course – but he’ll have a pass-catching role in the offense. He’s someone to watch out for in PPR leagues, though he’s just a late-round flier at this point.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 260 rushing yards. 29 catches. 220 receiving yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 75.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 104.

  29. Andre Ellington, RB, Cardinals. Bye: 9.
Andre Ellington is just a handcuff for David Johnson. There are better handcuffs out there, if you’re even into that sort of thing.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 260 rushing yards. 17 catches. 150 receiving yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 73.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 90.

  30. Jonathan Williams, RB, Bills. Bye: 10.
Karlos Williams has been released by the Bills. I’d say Jonathan Williams is the preferred handcuff for Buffalo if you really want one, but I’d recommend staying away.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 280 rushing yards. 10 catches. 60 receiving yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 71.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 81.

  31. Shaun Draughn, RB, 49ers. Bye: 8.
Shaun Draughn caught 27 passes last season – not bad, despite barely playing until Week 9. Draughn is a fine backup for Carlos Hyde in real life, but he should be stuck on the waiver wire as long as Hyde is healthy.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 260 rushing yards. 24 catches. 140 receiving yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 62.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 86.

  32. Darren McFadden, RB, Cowboys. Bye: 7.
SEPT. 5 UPDATE: Darren McFadden may never be able to extend his right arm fully again. That’s not good, in case you couldn’t tell. I wouldn’t bother rostering McFadden at this point.

JULY 28 UPDATE: Darren McFadden is expected to be ready for Week 1, according to Jason Cole of Yahoo! There was concern about McFadden’s elbow injury about a month ago, but it sounds like he’s fine. He’s worth owning if you’re into handcuffs.

JUNE 21 UPDATE: Darren McFadden is out for two months with a broken elbow. McFadden probably won’t miss meaningful action, but his absence will give Ezekiel Elliott a golden opportunity to officially pass him on the depth chart.

Darren McFadden was a pleasant surprise for the Cowboys this past season. After looking done in Oakland, McFadden thrived behind one of the top offensive lines in football, gaining 1,089 yards and catching 40 passes. However, Dallas obtained Ezekiel Elliott, meaning McFadden will need an injury to Elliott in order to become relevant again.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 180 rushing yards. 17 catches. 100 receiving yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 60.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 77.

  33. Tre Mason, RB, Rams. Bye: 8.
If you drafted Todd Gurley in the first round and are considering Tre Mason as a handcuff option, don’t. Even if Gurley gets hurt and Mason gets the nod, he won’t produce much. He averaged just 2.8 YPC last year, which was horrific, and his legal issues could lead to a suspension.

Projected 2013 Fantasy Stats: 270 rushing yards. 19 catches. 100 receiving yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 59.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 78.

  34. Paul Perkins, RB, Giants. Bye: 8.
SEPT. 2 UPDATE: Giants rookie running back Paul Perkins had a rough preseason finale. If his meager stat line wasn’t bad enough (2 carries, 1 yard), he also lost a fumble and dropped a pass.

Rashad Jennings is the only quality runner on the Giants’ roster, and he’s injury-prone. There’s plenty of opportunity here for Paul Perkins, who could start at some point as a rookie.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 150 rushing yards. 6 catches. 30 receiving yards. 1 total TD.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 59.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 65.

  35. Mike Tolbert, RB, Panthers. Bye: 7.
Mike Tolbert’s only value is in touchdown-only leagues, as he specializes in end-zone plunges from the 1-yard line. Strangely enough, he didn’t score any touchdowns in 2014, though he did find the end zone four times this past season.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 200 rushing yards. 14 catches. 130 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 57.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 71.

  36. Cameron Artis-Payne, RB, Panthers. Bye: 7.
Cameron Artis-Payne’s role will increase in his sophomore campaign, but there are too many mouths to feed in terms of carries, even if Jonathan Stewart gets hurt.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 220 rushing yards. 7 catches. 50 receiving yards. 1 total TD.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 53.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 60.

  37. Andre Williams, RB, Giants. Bye: 8.
It was a wasted down every time Andre Williams carried the ball last year, yet Tom Coughlin took way too long to realize it.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 200 rushing yards. 2 catches. 10 receiving yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 43.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 45.

  38. Roy Helu, RB, Raiders. Bye: 6.
Roy Helu’s not even an option if Latavius Murray gets hurt.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 160 rushing yards. 15 catches. 100 receiving yards. 1 total TD.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 42.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 57.

  39. Kenyan Drake, RB, Dolphins.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 180 rushing yards. 12 catches. 90 receiving yards. 1 total TD.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 36.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 48.

  40. Lance Dunbar, RB, Cowboys. Bye: 7.
AUG. 3 UPDATE: Lance Dunbar tore his patellar tendon in his knee last year. It was previously reported that Dunbar “just” sustained a torn ACL. This is much worse news. No one has ever fully recovered from a torn patellar tendon, so stay away from Dunbar all together.

Lance Dunbar was a pass-catching machine in his first four games, hauling in 21 passes. Unfortunately, he tore his ACL.

Projected 2016 Fantasy Stats: 40 rushing yards. 30 catches. 190 receiving yards. 1 total TD.
    Projected 2016 Fantasy Points: 29.
Projected 2016 PPR Fantasy Points: 59.
