Sam Darnold proved that 2024 wasn’t a fluke. He threw for 4,000-plus yards again, though his touchdowns dropped from 35 to 25.

Fernando Mendoza, QB, Raiders. Bye: .

Fernando Mendoza has drawn comparisons to Joe Flacco with some mobility. His offensive line is a big concern, however.

Kyler Murray, QB, . Bye: .

Kyler Murray played a full season in 2024, so he was due to miss a lot of time in 2025. He’s projected to be the starter in Minnesota, but it’s unlikely that he’ll last the whole season.

C.J. Stroud, QB, Texans. Bye: .

C.J. Stroud won Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2023, but has declined in each of his three seasons. It’s possible that he’s not studying film and could continue to worsen.

Bryce Young, QB, Panthers. Bye: .

Bryce Young embarrassed himself to start 2024, but he has improved in the past season and a half. He’s still not a viable fantasy option outside of 2-QB formats.

Michael Penix, QB, Falcons. Bye: .

Michael Penix Jr. was a disappointment last year. Kevin Stefanski might be able to get the most out of him.

Cam Ward, QB, Titans. Bye: .

Cam Ward took a high number of sacks last year, but improved down the stretch. He’ll benefit from Wan’Dale Robinson joining the team.

Aaron Rodgers, QB, Steelers. Bye: .

Aaron Rodgers had some bright moments at the end of the year. It’s unclear if he’ll be returning to Pittsburgh.

Ty Simpson, QB, . Bye: .

Ty Simpson is expected to be a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, but he doesn’t project as a good fantasy player.

Deshaun Watson, QB, Browns. Bye: .

Deshaun Watson will be back from injury, but he’s not a viable fantasy option of any sort.

Kirk Cousins, QB, Falcons. Bye: .

Kirk Cousins was an interception machine two years ago, but he was coming off a torn Achilles. He had some decent moments last year.

Tanner McKee, QB, Eagles. Bye: .

The Eagles may trade Tanner McKee to a team that needs a quarterback.

Geno Smith is a dreadful quarterback, despite what Mina Kimes has to say.

J.J. McCarthy, QB, Vikings. Bye: .

J.J. McCarthy struggled in several games to begin his first year as a starter, but he improved down the stretch, albeit against inferior competition.
