2025 NFL Draft Prospects: Offensive Tackle

10/12/24: Campbell has been a steady blocker this season and reliable at protecting the quarterback.

6/11/24: Campbell earned the starting left tackle job in training camp as a true freshman and started 13 games at left tackle. He has held onto the spot as a sophomore, protecting the blind side of Jayden Daniels. Campbell is big and will enter the NFL with a lot of valuable experience, having been a three-year starter in the SEC, assuming he stays healthy.

10/12/24: Jones has been solid this season for LSU. He had a mixed outing against South Carolina.

6/11/24: Jones earned a starting job during his freshman season and has turned in a pair of impressive years to start his collegiate career. In 2023, Jones formed an excellent tackle tandem with Will Campbell to help their quarterback Jayden Daniels produce a massive season that earned Daniels the Heisman Trophy. Jones has a strong build with impressive athleticism for a thick-bodied tackle, and his basketball background is evident in his footwork. At many schools, Jones would be a starting left tackle. Jones looks like a pro starter and should enter the NFL with excellent experience, assuming Jones stays healthy.

10/12/24: Savaiinaea has played well for Arizona thus far. Some team sources like him and think he is a riser.

6/11/24: Savaiinaea broke into the starting lineup at right tackle in 2022 and immediately was a solid contributor for the Wildcats. As a sophomore in 2023, Savaiinaea was even better teaming with Jordan Morgan to give Arizona an effective tackle tandem. Savaiinaea is a quick blocker with athleticism and agility on the edge. However, Savaiinaea needs to get stronger for the NFL and improve his punch at the point of attack. If he can’t add more functional power, Savaiinaea might end up fitting best in a zone-blocking system.

10/12/24: Banks played very well against Michigan while taking a group of future NFL defensive linemen. Team sources say that Banks has good athleticism and is a solid player. Some feel he has a body that is better suited for guard, but he might be able to stay at tackle, similar to NFL starters Dion Dawkins and Kelvin Beachum.

6/11/24: Banks started at left tackle for the Longhorns in 2023 and had a strong season. He played well against the Crimson Tide and their future pro competitors. Given his body type, Banks might fit best as a guard in the NFL. Banks made an impressive freshman debut, starting at left tackle for the Longhorns. He was a reliable run blocker and showed the potential to be a pass protector. With a quality skill set, Banks has upside and could be a riser for his draft class. He is a candidate to move inside to guard as well.

10/12/24: Greene had a mixed outing against Clemson in the season opener, but he has played well since then, including a respectable outing against Alabama.

6/11/24: Greene started at left tackle for Georgia in 2023 and played well. With his build, he fits with some other Bulldogs left tackles who have not been typical edge protectors. While Greene lacks some height and length, he makes up for it with smooth athleticism and strength. Greene was reliable in protecting Carson Beck and a solid run blocker. Greene could be even better in 204 now that he has a year of starting experience.

10/12/24: Conerly has played for Oregon. Team sources think Conerly is a quality athlete and shows some strength as a run blocker. They feel he has a potentially fatal flaw with no ability to anchor. That inability to anchor could force him to move inside to guard. However, they think that Conerly could be an excellent guard in the NFL.

6/11/24: Conerly was an excellent pass protector at left tackle for the Ducks in 2023, allowing only one sack all season. Conerly showed quickness and athleticism on the edge to keep a clean pocket. It was only his first season as a starter, and it will be interesting to see if Conerly gets stronger and more forceful as a run blocker. Conerly has upside and could get stronger as he matures while gaining more experience.

10/12/24: Ersery has had a solid start to the season for Minnesota. Against North Carolina, he blocked well overall. However, he might fit better as a right tackle in the NFL.

6/11/24: Over the past two seasons, Ersery has been the starting left tackle for the Gophers and has been a steady blocker. Ersery’s run blocking is ahead of his pass protection. For the NFL, he could get consideration to move inside to guard.

10/12/24: Truss had a mixed performance taking on Clemson in the season opener. He looks like a right tackle or guard for the NFL.

6/11/24: Truss was the starting left guard in 2023, but an injury to Amarius Mims caused Georgia to move Truss to right tackle for some games. While Truss wasn’t bad, playing on the edge illustrated that Truss is a better fit for guard in the NFL. He is a strong blocker and capable protector when playing on the inside. Truss was the starting left guard for the Bulldogs in 2022 and had a strong season. He was a reliable interior pass protector and an effective run blocker. With his size, weight, and length, Truss is a massive interior blocker. It will be interesting to see if Georgia moves him to right tackle in 2024, and that appears to be the plan entering the season.

10/12/24: Belton has played well for the Wolfpack overall. He has shown athleticism in pass protection with power and strength as a run blocker. He had a mixed outing against Tennessee.

2/10/24: Belton put together a good 2023 season for the Wolfpack, helping his draft standing with NFL teams thanks to showing next-level ability. To go along with big size, Belton has enough quickness and athleticism to remain as an edge blocker in the NFL. Team sources said they had a third-round grade on Belton for the 2024 NFL Draft if he had decided to come out. They thought he might start out as a backup but could develop into a starter.

10/12/24: Carmona has played well for Arkansas this season showing ability as a run blocker and pass protector at left tackle. He is a solid player with upside to develop for NFL coaches. He was very good against Oklahoma State in Week 2. Carmona played left tackle at San Jose State in 2023 and 2022.

10/12/24: Monheim is playing center for the Trojans and that looks like his best position for the NFL. Monheim was underwhelming taking on Michigan.

6/11/24: Monheim started at left tackle for USC in 2023. He was solid but unspectacular for the Trojans. In 2024 Monheim is moving to center, and that looks like a wise move. Monheim’s body type could should fit better in the middle of the line. Over recent years, Monheim has been a versatile blocker for the Trojans, starting at guard and right tackle as well. Gaining some weight and getting stronger would help Monheim in the NFL. At worst, Monheim could be a valuable game-day backup that can help provide depth at multiple spots.

10/12/24: Nelson has been solid for Wisconsin thus far.

12/9/23: Nelson has had a solid, but unimpressive season for Wisconsin in 2023. Nelson started at left tackle for the Badgers in 2022, but he could also get consideration as a right tackle for the pros. Nelson has started at guard and tackle for the Badgers. Given his height and length, Nelson could fit as a starting tackle in the NFL. If he does well against speed rushers in 2024, he could rise.

10/12/24: Milum is starting at left tackle for West Virginia this season.

6/11/24: Milum has been a versatile blocker for the Mountaineers over the past three seasons. In 2021, he started as a freshman at right tackle before moving to left tackle in the past two seasons. Milum has quality size and plays in control. He was very effective in pass protection as a junior, not allowing a sack all season. Milum could be a sleeper that rises.

10/12/24: Cornelius and Oregon have yet to be tested by a tough opponent. He has been solid for the Ducks.

6/11/24: Cornelius transferred to the Ducks after starting for two seasons at Rhode Island, and Cornelius quickly became a key contributor for Oregon. Staying in the same position he played at Rhode Island, Cornelius won the starting right tackle job and was a steady pass protector for Bo Nix. Cornelius’ pass blocking is ahead of his run blocking, and he could stand to get stronger for the NFL.

10/12/24: Gray is starting at guard for Oregon State this season.

6/11/24: As a redshirt freshman in 2020, Gray broke into the starting lineup and has been a solid starter every year since then at left tackle. Gray will enter the NFL, having been a five-year starter for the Beavers, assuming he stays healthy. Gray has been a left tackle for the Beavers with Taliese Fuaga on the right side in 2023, but Gray could stand to get stronger for the NFL. He might be a candidate to move inside to guard.

10/12/24: Membou is starting at right tackle and Missouri has rolled over some weak opponents thus far.

6/11/24: After starting five games as a freshman in 2022, Membou took over as the starting right tackle for the Tigers in 2023. Membou was an effective run blocker for the Tigers. Given his size and lack of length, Membou should probably move inside to guard for the NFL.

10/12/24: Miller is starting at right tackle. He had a decent showing against Georgia. Miller could be a swing tackle backup candidate for the NFL.

6/11/24: Miller broke into the starting lineup at right tackle as a freshman in 2022. Miller has quality size to him and was a generally reliable blocker for the Tigers. In 2024, he needs to become more consistent in pass protection and more effective as a run blocker.

10/12/24: Zuhn did not impress against Notre Dame in the season opener. He was better in some other games.

6/11/24: Zuhn has flashed some ability for the Aggies, but he needs to get more consistent. Zuhn is a big lineman, but he can be inconsistent with his technique and gets in trouble when he plays high. He could improve as he gains experience.

10/12/24: George was not impressive taking on Miami in the opener. He is starting at right guard this season. He played better in other games.

6/11/24: George started at right tackle for the Gators and had a mixed 2023 season. He did well as a run blocker at times while giving up too much pass pressure in many games. George was only in his first season as a starter since transferring from Alabama. He could improve after gaining some experience, but he needs development. Moving to right guard is a better fit for him in college and the NFL, and it appears that George will likely be starting at right guard in 2024.

10/12/24: Rucci is starting at right tackle for Penn State.
