Prospect Summary:

Belton started out his collegiate career at the Georgia Military Academy and lost the 2020 season because the school did not play due to COVID. In 2021, Belton transferred to North Carolina State and was a backup. He broke into the starting lineup at left tackle in 2022 and stayed on the blind side for the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

In the ground game, Belton can be powerful at the point of attack with sheer power to knock defenders off the ball. Belton can drive block and push defenders out of their gap to create movement at the point of attack. Belton’s power to drive block should be an asset in short-yardage situations in the NFL.

Belton is a unique blocker as he is massive, strong, and surprisingly quick and nimble for such a big blocker. In pass protection, Belton shows his power with a strong punch that can knock defenders off their rush move and quickly stall them. Belton’s power leads to him sustaining blocks well, as defenders really struggle to break free once he latches on. With a thick lower body and strong base, Belton can anchor against bull rushes and stonewall power rushers off the edge. He is inconsistent with his hand placement, and sometimes his hands get too wide, exposing his chest. Sometimes, Belton will bend at the waist and is inconsistent with bending at the knee. Thus, he might be better as a right tackle or guard in the NFL.

In the 2025 NFL Draft, Belton looks like a second- or third-round pick. He could be a starting right tackle or guard in the NFL.

Prospect Comparison:

Marcus Cannon. Belton reminds me of Cannon when he was playing well with the Patriots. They are almost identical in size with similar skill sets.
