2010 Fantasy Football Rankings - Cleveland Browns 2010 Fantasy Football Rankings – Cleveland Browns:

Updated 6/3

  • Jake Delhomme, QB, Browns. Bye: 8.
Jake Delhomme is 35. He has no arm strength left and makes poor decisions. Other than that, he’s a damn good quarterback. In an attempt to appease his son’s kidnappers, Delhomme tossed eight touchdowns and 18 interceptions in 2009 with Steve Smith at his disposal. Now Delhomme’s No. 1 target is Mohamed Massaquoi. Oh no.

Projected 2010 Fantasy Stats: 1,300 passing yards. 5 passing TDs. 14 INTs. 40 rushing yards. 0 rushing TDs.
Projected 2010 Fantasy Points (ESPN Scoring): 48.
Projected 2010 Fantasy Points (QB Friendly): 71.

  • Montario Hardesty, RB, Browns. Bye: 8.
It really frustrates me that the Browns spent a second-round pick on Montario Hardesty. Jerome Harrison was looking like such a great fantasy option this season after his three-game 561-yard outburst at the end of the 2009 campaign. But considering that the Mangina was so reluctant to use Harrison until the final few weeks, I have to believe that Hardesty is the favorite to start. At the very least, Hardesty will get all the goal-line work.

Projected 2010 Fantasy Stats: 950 rushing yards. 15 catches. 100 receiving yards. 7 total TDs.
    Projected 2010 Fantasy Points: 147.
Projected 2010 PPR Fantasy Points: 162.

  • Jerome Harrison, RB, Browns. Bye: 8.
I guess Mike Holmgren was at the buffet when Jerome Harrison tore it up at the end of the 2009 season. There really was no need to spend such a high pick on another running back. It’s unfortunate, but Montario Hardesty could take as much as half of Harrison’s touches away, including any goal-line work.

Projected 2010 Fantasy Stats: 750 rushing yards. 30 catches. 200 receiving yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2010 Fantasy Points: 119.
Projected 2010 PPR Fantasy Points: 149.

  • Mohamed Massaquoi, WR, Browns. Bye: 8.
Mohamed Massaquoi caught 34 passes for 624 yards and three touchdowns last year, teasing us with performances like his eight-catch, 148-yard outing against the Bengals, and his five-catch, 115-yard output at Detroit. Until Cleveland has a legitimate quarterback, however, Massaquoi will be nothing more than a fantasy backup.

Projected 2010 Fantasy Stats: 45 catches. 750 yards. 4 total TDs.
    Projected 2010 Fantasy Points: 99.
Projected 2010 PPR Fantasy Points: 144.

  • Joshua Cribbs, WR, Browns. Bye: 8.
In addition to his four return touchdowns, Joshua Cribbs compiled 381 rushing yards on just 55 attempts and 20 catches for 135 receiving yards in 2009. He’s worth drafting late if your league counts return scores.

Projected 2010 Fantasy Stats: 440 rushing yards. 23 catches. 150 receiving yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2010 Fantasy Points: 89.
Projected 2010 PPR Fantasy Points: 112.

  • Brian Robiskie, WR, Browns. Bye: 8.
Perceived by many to be the most pro-ready receiver in the 2009 NFL Draft class, Brian Robiskie caught only seven passes for 106 yards as a rookie. Even if Robiskie improves and builds on his four-catch, 69-yard performance against the Chargers in December, he won’t be worth drafting until the Browns find a legitimate quarterback.

Projected 2010 Fantasy Stats: 25 catches. 350 yards. 0 total TDs.
    Projected 2010 Fantasy Points: 35.
Projected 2010 PPR Fantasy Points: 60.

  • Evan Moore, TE, Browns. Bye: 8.
Evan Moore caught my attention when he caught six balls for 80 yards in a December contest against San Diego. Moore is physically gifted, but his value will remain minimized as long as the Browns keep trotting out bums at the quarterback position.

Projected 2010 Fantasy Stats: 38 catches. 500 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2010 Fantasy Points: 62.
Projected 2010 PPR Fantasy Points: 100.

  • Phil Dawson, K, Browns. Bye: 8.
Phil Dawson notched 17-of-19 field goals in 11 games last year. He’s a really reliable kicker in real life, but Cleveland’s miserable offense limits his fantasy potential.

    Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 24-28 FG (1-2 from 50+; 7-9 from 40-49). 25 XP.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 105.

  • Cleveland Browns. Bye: 8.
Believe it or not, but Cleveland’s defense does have some fantasy potential. Joshua Cribbs will probably notch multiple return touchdowns, and the Browns somehow collected 40 sacks in 2009.
