View Ranking History

9/10/22: Against La.-Monroe, Robinson ran 10 times for 71 yards and a touchdown. He also made three catches for 40 yards and another score.

6/22/22: Robinson was one of the best players in college football in 2021, producing a superb season for Texas. The sophomore averaged 5.8 yards per carry in 2021 for 1,127 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also took 26 receptions for 295 yards and four scores. In 2020, Robinson flashed his big-time skill set with 703 yards on only 86 carries - 8.2 average - and four touchdowns. He had 15 catches for 196 yards and two scores that season. Robinson has power, speed, cutting ability, and natural instincts as a runner.

Previous Seasons

  • '21 - Travis Etienne, Clemson
  • '20 - Jonathan Taylor, Wisconsin
2. Ole Miss image Zach Evans*, RB, Ole Miss

Projected Round (2023): 2-3
View Ranking History

9/10/22: Evans opened his Ole Miss career by taking 20 carries for 130 yards and making two catches for 22 yards against Troy.

6/22/22: After entering the transfer portal, Evans landed with Ole Miss, and he could be a star in Lane Kiffin's offense. The talented Evans (5-11, 195) could break out in 2022.

Evans averaged 7.0 yards per carry in 2021 for 648 yards and five touchdowns for TCU. He had 10 receptions for 130 yards and a touchdown as well. Evans flashed big-time ability in 2020 by averaging 7.7 yards per carry on his way to 415 yards and four touchdowns. He made eight receptions for 76 yards as well.

Previous Seasons

  • '22 - Zamir White, Georgia
  • '21 - Javonte Williams, North Carolina
  • '20 - Clyde Edwards-Helaire, LSU
3. Alabama image Jahmyr Gibbs*, RB, Alabama
Height: 5-11. Weight: 200.
Projected 40 Time: 4.50.
Projected Round (2023): 2-3
View Ranking History

9/10/22: Gibbs has nine carries for 93 yards and a reception for five yards so far in 2022.

6/22/22: After the 2021 season, Gibbs entered the transfer portal and landed at Alabama. He should be a great replacement for Brian Robinson in 2022 and could become the latest early-round running back prospect for the Crimson Tide. Gibbs is a beast of a back who is put together well and runs hard. He has speed, natural running instincts, and a lot of upside.

In 2021 for Georgia Tech, Gibbbs averaged 5.2 yards per carry for 746 yards and four touchdowns. He also took 35 receptions for 465 yards and two touchdowns. In 2020, Gibbs averaged 5.2 yards per carry for 460 yards and four touchdowns. He also showed impressive receiving ability with 24 catches for 303 yards and three scores. Don't be surprised if Gibbs becomes a star at Alabama and ends up in the early rounds of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Previous Seasons

  • '22 - Brian Robinson, Alabama
  • '21 - Kenny Gainwell, Memphis
  • '20 - Cam Akers, Florida State
4. Georgia image Kenny McIntosh, RB, Georgia
Height: 6-1. Weight: 220.
Projected 40 Time: 4.52.
Projected Round (2023): 2-3
View Ranking History

9/10/22: Taking on Oregon, McIntosh saw just five carries for 18 yards and a touchdown, but he also caught nine passes for 117 yards.

6/22/22: McIntosh has not taken a big workload given the crowded Georgia backfield, but he has flashed serious ability on his limited carries. The big back McIntosh averaged 5.7 yards per carry over 58 carries in 2021 for 328 yards and three touchdowns. He was impressive also as a receiver with 22 catches for 242 yards. In 2020 and 2019, McIntosh averaged 5.3 and 7.0 yards per carry.

Previous Seasons

  • '22 - Isaiah Spiller, Texas A&M
  • '21 - Kylin Hill, Mississippi State
  • '20 - J.K. Dobbins, Ohio State
5. UCLA image Zach Charbonnet, RB, UCLA
Height: 6-1. Weight: 220.
Projected 40 Time: 4.53.
Projected Round (2023): 2-3.
View Ranking History

9/10/22: Versus Bowling Green, Charbonnet ran for 111 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. He had five receptions for 36 yards as well.

6/22/22: Charbonnet ran well in 2021, ripping off yards in large chunks for the Bruins. He has a strong build and a burst to accelerate into the secondary. Some team sources said Charbonnet and former teammate Brittain Brown impressed them in 2021. Charbonnet could be one of the top senior backs in the country.

Previous Seasons

  • '22 - James Cook, Georgia
  • '21 - Trey Sermon, Ohio State
  • '20 - Zack Moss, Utah
6. Kentucky image Chris Rodriguez Jr., RB, Kentucky
Height: 5-11. Weight: 209.
Projected 40 Time: 4.56.
Projected Round (2023): 2-4.
View Ranking History

9/10/22: Rodriguez did not play in the season opener due to a DUI arrest in July. When he will return to the field is undefined.

6/22/22: Rodriguez was a tough runner for Kentucky in 2021. He has quickness, the strength to pick up yards after contact, and an ability to rip off yards in chunks. His fumbling issues from 2020, however, continued somewhat in 2021. Rodriguez must improve his ball security, but he has the skill set to be a starter or No. 2 back in the NFL.

Rodriguez waited with Bennie Snell running well for Kentucky, but in 2020, Rodriguez showed he is an impact-making back in his own right, averaging 6.6 yards per carry with 11 touchdowns. Rodriguez flashed in 2019 as well, averaging 7.5 yards per carry as a backup.

Rodriguez is a thickly built back with some speed. He hurt his draft stock with a DUI arrest in 2022.

Previous Seasons

  • '22 - Tyler Badie, Missouri
  • '21 - Rhamondre Stevenson, Oklahoma
  • '20 - A.J. Dillon, Boston College
7. Syracuse image Sean Tucker**, RB, Syracuse
Height: 5-10. Weight: 210.
Projected 40 Time: 4.52.
Projected Round (2023): 3-4
View Ranking History

9/10/22: Tucker took 21 carries for 98 yards and a touchdown against Louisville. He also caught six passes for 85 yards and another touchdown. NFL sources say they view Tucker as a backup three-down runner at the next level. They feel he has good instincts, but is not overly powerful or fast. Tucker also struggles in pass blocking. Hence, they view him as a backup.

6/22/22: Tucker ran really well for Syracuse in 2021, averaging 6.1 yards per carry for 1,496 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also caught 20 passes for 255 yards and two scores. Tucker has a strong build to go along with quickness and versatility.

Previous Seasons

  • '22 - Dameon Pierce, Florida
  • '21 - Larry Rountree, Missouri
  • '20 - Ke'Shawn Vaughn, Vanderbilt
8. Florida image Nay'Quan Wright*, RB, Florida
Height: 5-9. Weight: 196.
Projected 40 Time: 4.56.
Projected Round (2023): 3-4
View Ranking History

9/10/22: Wright had 10 carries for 39 yards against Utah.

6/22/22: Wright and Dameon Pierce ran well for Florida in 2021, despite a struggling passing offense and mediocre offensive line. Wright averaged 4.3 yards per carry on the year for 326 yards and a touchdown. He also had 14 catches for 178 yards and a touchdown. The numbers don't illustrate the special ability that Wright flashed. With Pierce in the NFL, Wright could break out in 2022.

Previous Seasons

  • '22 - D'Vonte Price, Florida International
  • '21 - Michael Carter, North Carolina
  • '20 - Joshua Kelley, UCLA
9. Georgia image Kendall Milton*, RB, Georgia

View Ranking History

9/10/22: Taking on Oregon, Milton ran for 50 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. He also had an 18-yard touchdown catch.

6/22/22: Milton flashed serious ability in 2020, averaging 5.5 yards per carry for 193 yards. In 2021, Milton was behind Zamir White and James Cook. Milton averaged 4.7 yards per carry for 264 yards and one touchdown on the year. He is big, quick, and full of potential.

Previous Seasons

  • '22 - Kyren Williams, Notre Dame
  • '21 - Demetric Felton, UCLA
  • '20 - J.J. Taylor, Arizona
10. Appalachian State image Camerun Peoples, RB, Appalachian State
Height: 6-2. Weight: 220.
Projected 40 Time: 4.55.
Projected Round (2023): 3-5
View Ranking History

9/10/22: Peoples ran for 65 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries in a close loss to North Carolina.

6/22/22: Peoples is a big power back who has a thick build and possesses the strength to run through tackles. In 2021, he averaged 5.6 yards per carry for 926 yards and 14 touchdowns. He ran for 1,124 yards - a 6.7-yard average - and 23 touchdowns in 2020. It would help Peoples to show more receiving ability as a senior because he only has made five receptions across his career so far.

Previous Seasons

  • '22 - Max Borghi, Washington State
  • '21 - Chuba Hubbard, Oklahoma State
  • '20 - Darrynton Evans, Appalachian State
11. Louisville image Tiyon Evans*, RB, Louisville
Height: 5-11. Weight: 220.
Projected 40 Time: 4.55.
Projected Round (2023): 4-6
View Ranking History

9/10/22: Evans took 13 carries against Syracuse, accruing 89 yards and a touchdown.

6/22/22: Evans transferred to Louisville after the 2021 season. He ran hard for Tennessee last season, totaling 525 yards and six touchdowns over only 81 carries. He also took four receptions for 74 yards and another touchdown. While Evans did not assemble big production, his talent was intriguing enough for NFL advance scouts to include him on their watch list for the 2023 NFL Draft.

Previous Seasons

  • '22 - Hassan Haskins, Michigan
  • '21 - Jaret Patterson, Buffalo
  • '20 - Eno Benjamin, Arizona State
12. Texas image Roschon Johnson, RB, Texas
Height: 6-2. Weight: 219.
Projected 40 Time: 4.55.
Projected Round (2023): 4-6
View Ranking History

9/10/22: Johnson ran for 34 yards and a touchdown over five carries to open 2022. While Johnson is big, he does not run with as much power and physicality as one would expect.

6/22/22: Johnson would be a starter at most schools, but with the Longhorns featuring perhaps the best back in the nation in Bijan Robinson, Johnson is the backup. Johnson put together solid production as a complementary back over the past three seasons. He is a big running back who has more receiving ability than many large backs.

Previous Seasons

  • '22 - Rachaad White, Arizona State
  • '21 - Rakeem Boyd, Arkansas
  • '20 - Darius Anderson, TCU
13. Marshall image Rasheen Ali**, RB, Marshall
Height: 6-0. Weight: 201.
Projected 40 Time: 4.50.
Projected Round (2023): 4-6
View Ranking History

9/10/22: Ali has taken a leave of absence from the Marshall program.

6/22/22: Ali only had five carries in 2020, but he broke out as a redshirt sophomore in 2021, averaging 5.6 yards per carry for 1,401 yards and 23 touchdowns. He also was a dangerous receiver with 46 receptions for 342 yards and a touchdown. Ali could stand to add some strength to his frame, but he could be a riser to keep an eye on now that he has some experience.

Previous Seasons

  • '22 - Keaontay Ingram, USC
  • '21 - Trey Ragas, La.-Lafayette
  • '20 - Benny LeMay, Charlotte
14. Minnesota image Mohamed Ibrahim, RB, Minnesota
Height: 5-10. Weight: 210.
Projected 40 Time: 4.54.
Projected Round (2023): 5-7
View Ranking History

9/10/22: Versus New Mexico State, Ibrahim ran for 132 yards and two touchdowns on 21 attempts.

6/22/22: Ibrahim was a tough runner for the Gophers in 2018 and 2020, topping 1,000 yards in both season. His 2021 season was limited to just 30 carries before suffering a leg injury that ended his year. Ibrahim could rise if he returns to his pre-injury form in 2022.

Previous Seasons

  • '22 - C.J. Verdell, Oregon
  • '21 - Javian Hawkins, Louisville
  • '20 - Rico Dowdle, South Carolina
15. Oklahoma image Eric Gray, RB, Oklahoma
Height: 5-9. Weight: 206.
Projected 40 Time: 4.50.
Projected Round (2023): 5-7
View Ranking History

9/10/22: Gray recorded 102 yards on 16 carries against UTEP.

6/22/22: Gray could be a riser if he ends up being the lead back for the Sooners in 2022. He split carries during the past three seasons, but flashed some running ability in his opportunities. In Lincoln Riley's offense, Gray was a very good receiver, totaling 66 receptions over three seasons. He could be a backup receiving back candidate for the NFL.

Previous Seasons

  • '22 - Kennedy Brooks, Oklahoma
  • '21 - Elijah Mitchell, La.-Lafayette
  • '20 - Michael Warren, Cincinnati
16. Texas image Keilan Robinson**, RB, Texas
Height: 5-9. Weight: 183.
Projected 40 Time: 4.49.
Projected Round (2023): 6-FA
View Ranking History

9/10/22: Robinson had one carry for seven yards in the 2022 opener.

6/22/22: Robinson is a quick back who lacks size, but he has shown some speed in his career, averaging 7.2 yards and 6.5 yards per carry in his first two season. If Robinson can show more receiving ability, that could helpe him be a third-down back candidate for the next level. It will be hard for him to get carries given the crowded and talented Texas backfield.

Previous Seasons

  • '22 - Isaih Pacheco, Rutgers
  • '21 - Khalil Herbert, Virginia Tech
  • '20 - Tony Jones Jr., Notre Dame
17. Texas Tech image SaRodorick Thompson, RB, Texas Tech

Projected Round (2023): 6-FA
View Ranking History

9/10/22: Thompson totaled seven carries for 48 yards and a 30-yard touchdown catch to open 2022.

6/22/22: Thompson has been a solid back for the Red Raiders. His receiving ability really stood out in 2019 and 2020, as he racked up 60 receptions over that time. If Thompson runs well as a senior, he could rise.

Previous Seasons

  • '22 - Abram Smith, Baylor
  • '21 - Pooka Williams, Kansas
  • '20 - Patrick Taylor Jr., Memphis
18. Boise State image George Holani*, RB, Boise State
Height: 5-11. Weight: 205.
Projected 40 Time: 4.52.
Projected Round (2023): 7-FA
View Ranking History

9/10/22: Holani carried the ball 13 times for just nine yards in a loss to Oregon State.

6/22/22: Holani has flashed at times for the Broncos over the past few seasons. His best year came as a freshman when he averaged 5.3 yards per carry for 1,014 yards and seven touchdowns. That season he also caught 26 passes for 206 yards and three scores. As a junior, Holani could rise if he gets back to and can build on his 2019 form.

Previous Seasons

  • '22 - Tyler Allgeier, BYU
  • '21 - Chris Evans, Michigan
  • '20 - Lamical Perine, Florida
19. Utah image Tavion Thomas*, RB, Utah

6/22/22: Thomas broke out in 2021, averaging 5.4 yards per carry for 1,108 yards while racking up 21 touchdowns. It would help Thomas to show more receiving ability in 2022 because he only has four receptions during his college career.

6/22/22: Garwo is a short and thick back who was a power runner for Boston College in 2021. He averaged 5.1 yards per carry for 1,045 yards and seven touchdowns. It would help him to show more receiving ability as an upperclassman.
