2024 NFL Trades by Team: Baltimore Ravens

Change Team:

This page lists all the 2024 Trades for the Baltimore Ravens. I’ve listed all of the NFL Free Agent Signing Grades here, which included the trades. Because I’ve begun posting polls for the trades, I thought it would make sense to list just the NFL trades here, so archiving the voting would be easier.

November 2024 – Trades and Signings

Ravens acquire CB Tre'Davious White from Rams for swap of 2026 and 2027 7th-round picks
How the mighty have fallen. Tre’Davious White was a first-round pick who was once considered a great cornerback. White’s not even 30 yet, but he’s now being traded for a swap of 2026 and 2027 seventh-round picks.

Injuries have sapped White’s talent completely. He’s played in only four games this year, and he’s been one of the worst cornerbacks in the NFL. Perhaps he can improve on a new team, but that doesn’t seem very likely. Still, I get the Ravens trying to upgrade a major position of need at a low price. This seems like an even trade for both teams.

October 2024 – Trades and Signings

Ravens acquire WR Diontae Johnson from Panthers for third-day pick swap
It’s hardly a shock that Diontae Johnson was traded. With Cooper Kupp being taken off the market, and Christian Kirk breaking his collar bone, Johnson was the next receiver most likely to be traded because of his expiring contract.

What is surprising is that the Panthers didn’t get anything more for Johnson than a swap of fifth- and sixth-round picks. This speaks to the incompetence of the organization, which has been responsible for many blunders lately.

The Ravens are getting a steal. They’re giving up nothing for a dynamic play-maker, which they sorely needed because they had nothing at receiver outside of Zay Flowers.

Grade for Ravens – A+
Grade for Panthers – D

March 2024 – Trades and Signings

Jets acquire OT Morgan Moses from Ravens for 6th-round pick, swap of 4th-round picks
Aaron Rodgers’ injury wasn’t the only issue the Jets had last season. Their offensive line was also in shambles, so blocking for Zach Wilson was a major problem. Wilson never had a chance, so the Jets had to make sure that Rodgers will have better players in front of him in 2024.

Morgan Moses will help ensure that. Jets fans are familiar with Moses, who played for them one year. Moses started at right tackle for the Ravens since and did a good job. The one downside is that he’s 33, but Moses has not shown any signs of regression. He’ll be a solid short-term solution at a reasonable price, as all the Jets have given up is a sixth-round pick and 20 spots in the fourth frame.

As for the Ravens, they needed to clear some cap space, so I understand this trade. Still, Baltimore is getting weaker up front, which is never a good thing.

Grade for Jets – A
Grade for Ravens – C
