  1. Quinn Johnson, LSU
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 246.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.70.
    Combine 40 Time: DNP.
    Pro Day 40 Time: 4.72.
    Benchx225: 16. Vertical: . Broad: .
    Projected Round (2009): 5-6.

1/5/09: A solid blocker, Quinn Johnson only got 16 touches in 2008.

  2. Brannan Southerland, Georgia
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 242.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.58.
    Combine 40 Time: 4.70.
    Benchx225: 28. Vertical: 38. Broad: 10-0.
    Projected Round (2009): 5-6.

1/5/09: The best pure blocking fullback in this draft. He touched the ball only four times in 2008.

5/26/08: Brannan Southerland saw his production drop in 2007, as his touchdown total dropped from 10 to six, and his receptions fell from 14 to 11. He’s coming off offseason foot surgery.

2007: Brannan Southerland does it all; he blocks well, carries the ball in short-yardage situations and catches passes out of the backfield. He had 14 receptions, 157 receiving yards and 10 total touchdowns in 2006.

  3. Frank Summers, UNLV
    Height: 5-9. Weight: 241.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.67.
    Projected Round (2009): 6-7.

  4. Conredge Collins, Pittsburgh
    Height: 5-11. Weight: 224.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.56.
    Pro Day 40 Time: 4.64.
    Benchx225: 24. Vertical: 34.5. Broad: 9-0.
    Projected Round (2009): 6-7.

5/26/08: Conredge Collins saw just nine balls go his way in 2008. He also carried the ball 21 times for 85 yards.

5/26/08: Conredge Collins saw his reception total drop from 20 to seven in 2007, but you can blame that on Pittsburgh’s inept quarterbacks.

2007: Played tailback in high school, switched to fullback his freshman year. While Conredge Collins has been an effective blocker, his pass-catching ability is what sets him apart from most of the other fullbacks in his class; Collins had 20 receptions, 198 yards and four total touchdowns in 2006.

  5. Mark Hafner, Houston
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 235.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.74.
    Projected Round (2009): 7.

1/5/09: A pass-catching fullback, Mark Hafner caught an amazing 86 passes for 907 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2008.

  6. Tony Fiammetta, Syracuse
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 245.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.65.
    Combine 40 Time: 4.63.
    Benchx225: 30. Vertical: . Broad: .
    Projected Round (2009): 7-FA.

1/5/09: Tony Fiammetta caught 16 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown. He also had five carries. His strength is his powerful run blocking.

  7. Eric Kettani, Navy
    Height: 5-11. Weight: 231.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.56.
    Projected Round (2009): 7-FA.

5/26/08: Eric Kettani rushed for 982 yards and four touchdowns as a senior. Should be an effective short-yardage back at the next level.

5/26/08: Started five games, and registered 880 yards and 10 yards on a 5.8 clip.

  8. Jorvorskie Lane, Texas A&M
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 285.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.76.
    Projected Round (2009): 7-FA.

1/5/09: Should have declared last year when he was a fourth-round prospect and a coaching change was made. No surprise that Mike Sherman didn’t know how to utilize Jorvorskie Lane; Lane rushed for 93 yards and five touchdowns on just 35 carries.

5/26/08: Jorvorskie Lane continued to add to his rushing touchdown total, notching 16 in 2007. He had 780 yards on 169 carries, a 4.6 average.

2007: A two-ton truck with legs, Jorvorskie Lane is actually 30 pounds heavier than Jerome Bettis was. Scored 19 rushing touchdowns in 2006.

  9. Travis McCall, Alabama
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 260.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.70.
    Pro Day 40 Time: 5.10.
    Benchx225: 20. Vertical: 28. Broad: .
    Projected Round (2009): 7-FA.

1/5/09: A powerful blocking fullback-tight end. Travis McCall had just eight touches as a senior.

  10. Fui Vakapuna, BYU
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 254.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.73.
    Pro Day 40 Time: 4.83.
    Benchx225: 29. Vertical: 34. Broad: 9-2.
    Projected Round (2009): 7-FA.

1/5/09: Fui Vakapuna rushed for 263 yards and three touchdowns on 54 carries as a senior. He also caught 10 balls.

5/26/08: Fui Vakapuna missed four games with a broken hand in 2007. He averaged 3.5 yards per carry in 2007.

2007: I’ll be surprised if Fui Vakapuna is drafted. He’s small, and turns 25 prior to the 2009 Draft. His yards-per-carry average of three against Arizona doesn’t help.

  11. Zeek Zacharie, Louisiana-Monroe
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 238.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.62.
    Projected Round (2009): FA.

1/5/09: His name sounds fake, but Zeek Zacharie garnered 46 receptions, 510 yards and four touchdowns.

  12. Brock Bolen, Louisville
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 233.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.70.
    Pro Day 40 Time: 4.77.
    Benchx225: 24. Vertical: 31.5. Broad: 9-2.
    Projected Round (2009): FA.

1/5/09: Brock Bolen rushed for 505 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior.

5/26/08: Despite missing three games with a knee (thanks, Al Michaels), Brock Bolen had 456 rushing yards, 14 receptions and eight total touchdowns. Bolen will be 24 when the 2009 NFL Draft rolls around, putting him at a disadvantage when compared to Jorvorskie Lane (22), Chris Pressley (22), Brannan Southerland (23) and Eddie Williams (22).

2007: A bit small for a fullback, Brock Bolen carried the ball 48 times for 296 yards in 2006, scoring four total touchdowns in the process.

  13. Marcus Mailei, Weber State
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 248.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.82.
    Combine 40 Time: 4.90.
    Benchx225: 22. Vertical: . Broad: .
    Projected Round (2009): FA.

  14. Andrew Mooney, Ohio
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 226.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.68.
    Pro Day 40 Time: 4.82.
    Benchx225: 21. Vertical: 32.5. Broad: 8-10.
    Projected Round (2009): FA.

1/5/09: Andrew Mooney’s senior campaign was ruined by a knee injury. In nine games, Mooney registered 27 receptions, 287 yards and three scores.

5/26/08: Andrew Mooney had no rushes as a junior, but he caught the ball 34 times for 498 yards and nine touchdowns. He’ll be a pass-catching fullback or an H-back in the NFL.
