Wes Saxton, TE, South Alabama 
Not many have seen Wes Saxton play, but teams will be doing their homework on him after watching him perform at the Combine. Saxton managed to run a 4.56 40 with a 1.57 split, all while posting a 36-inch vertical. He was just mediocre in the drills, but he showed enough for some team to grab him in the fourth or fifth round.
Jean Sifrin, TE, UMass 
Jean Sifrin is much older than most draft prospects (27), so the Combine meant a bit more to him than it did to many others. Unfortunately, he didn’t have a strong performance. He ran a poor 40 at 4.84, and it just got worse from there, as he made some mistakes in the drills.
Clive Walford, TE, Miami The tight ends at this year’s Combine were a bit underwhelming. Clive Walford was an exception. He managed the fourth-fastest 40 time among tight ends with a 4.79 despite weighing in at 251. He also displayed nice hands in the field drills, so he definitely helped his cause to be a second-day pick.
Maxx Williams, TE, Minnesota Maxx Williams didn’t hurt himself at the Combine. His 4.77 40-yard dash and his showing in the field drills weren’t bad. They just didn’t scream “first-round pick.” Williams needed a terrific Combine to cement his first-round status, but he didn’t have one. He’ll probably be chosen on Day 2.
