This page lists all the 2024 Trades for the Los Angeles Rams. I’ve listed all of the NFL Free Agent Signing Grades here, which included the trades. Because I’ve begun posting polls for the trades, I thought it would make sense to list just the NFL trades here, so archiving the voting would be easier.

November 2024 – Trades and Signings

Ravens acquire CB Tre'Davious White from Rams for swap of 2026 and 2027 7th-round picks
How the mighty have fallen. Tre’Davious White was a first-round pick who was once considered a great cornerback. White’s not even 30 yet, but he’s now being traded for a swap of 2026 and 2027 seventh-round picks.
Injuries have sapped White’s talent completely. He’s played in only four games this year, and he’s been one of the worst cornerbacks in the NFL. Perhaps he can improve on a new team, but that doesn’t seem very likely. Still, I get the Ravens trying to upgrade a major position of need at a low price. This seems like an even trade for both teams.

August 2024 – Trades and Signings

Titans acquire LB Ernest Jones from Rams for swap of 2026 5th-, 6th-round picks
If Ernest Jones weren’t seeking a new deal, the Rams likely would have gotten so much more for him. Jones is a talented and young (24) linebacker who is exceptional in run support. He’s not as good in coverage, but he’s not much of a liability in that regard either.
This is an outstanding acquisition for the Titans. Tennessee made some terrific moves to upgrade its defense this offseason, but didn’t address its weakness at linebacker. That has changed, as Jones will be a big upgrade in that area. The Titans are giving up next to nothing for Jones. Sure, they have to pay him, but their quarterback is in a rookie deal. They have the money.
Meanwhile, this is a big disappointment for the Rams. Sure, they had no leverage, but they sold a good player for pennies on the dollar.

May 2024 – Trades and Signings

Texans acquire WR Ben Skowronek from Rams for swap of 2026 late-round picks
The Rams reportedly waived Ben Skowronek, but the Texans called at the 11th hour and proposed a deal for him. They could have just signed him, but wanted him so much that they were willing to swap sixth- and seventh-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft.
I don’t understand why the Texans wanted Skowronek so much. Granted, swapping sixth- and seventh-round picks two years from now will almost certainly be irrelevant, but the same word could be used to describe Skowronek’s impact on the team. The Texans have a loaded receiving corps, so why trade anything for Skowronek, who has just 58 career receptions and absolutely no skill set?
Grade for Texans – C-
Grade for Rams – B+
