2023 Fantasy Football Rookie Rankings: Dynasty
- Bijan Robinson, RB, Falcons
Bijan Robinson was widely considered to be the top prospect in the 2023 NFL Draft class. He has Saquon Barkley-type ability, and he will have a huge season for the Falcons, both as a runner and a receiver out of the backfield.
- Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Lions
I think the case can be made for Jahmyr Gibbs to be drafted ahead of Bijan Robinson, given that he’ll be running behind one of the top three offensive lines in the NFL. I think I’d still go with Robinson, but it’s close.
- Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Seahawks
Jaxon Smith-Njigba will begin the year as Seattle’s No. 3 receiver, but he could easily supplant Tyler Lockett as the second option.
- Quentin Johnson, WR, Chargers
Quentin Johnson will begin the year as the third receiver, but given the durability issues with Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, Johnson could see plenty of action as a rookie.
- Jordan Addison, WR, Vikings
Jordan Addison will replace Adam Thielen as Minnesota’s No. 2 receiver. Of the rookie receivers, Addison will have the best opportunity in the best offense right away.
- Zay Flowers, WR, Ravens
Zay Flowers can go the distance whenever he touches the ball. He could be Baltimore’s No. 1 receiver despite being a rookie.
- Bryce Young, QB, Panthers
Bryce Young has Russell Wilson-type upside because of his mobility. However, his offensive line won’t be very good, and he won’t have a true No. 1 receiver at his disposal.
- C.J. Stroud, QB, Texans
C.J. Stroud showed off his great mobility in the semi-final game versus Georgia. If he continues to run, he’ll have nice fantasy upside in the NFL. The problem in the meantime is that his receiving corps is very weak.
- Anthony Richardson, QB, Colts
Anthony Richardson ran a 4.4 at the combine, matching Justin Fields’ time. If the Colts allow Richardson to run wild like the Bears did with Fields last year, he’ll easily enter fantasy QB1 territory.
- Dalton Kincaid, TE, Bills
Dalton Kincaid is a very athletic tight end who figures to play in the slot in Buffalo’s offense. He has good potential for this season despite being a rookie in a two-tight end offense.
- Sam LaPorta, TE, Lions
Sam LaPorta projects to be the starting tight end in Detroit’s high-powered offense. With Jameson Williams serving a suspension, LaPorta could see extra targets early in the season.
- Kendre Miller, RB, Saints
Kendre Miller had lots of pre-draft hype. He could end up being the Saints’ starting running back if Alvin Kamara is suspended.
- Zach Charbonnet, RB, Seahawks
The Seahawks must have forgotten that they had a talented running back on their roster when they spent a second-round pick on Zach Charbonnet. At the very least, Charbonnet will serve as a receiver out of the backfield.
- Jalin Hyatt, WR, Giants
Jalin Hyatt is an electric receiver with deep speed ability. He could emerge as the No. 1 wideout on the Giants’ roster.
- Jonathan Mingo, WR, Panthers
Jonathan Mingo is a big receiver who could be Bryce Young’s No. 1 target right away. He definitely has upside, even as a rookie.
- Devon Achane, RB, Dolphins
Devon Achane is an electric receiver out of the backfield. The problem is that he’ll be competing for touches with two other backs.
- Tyjae Spears, RB, Titans
Derrick Henry could be traded soon, which will give Tyjae Spears an opportunity to be the starter. However, Spears has no ACL in one of his knees, so he may not able to stay healthy.
- Tank Dell, WR, Texans
C.J. Stroud personally requested the Texans to select Tank Dell because he had a great rapport with him in pre-draft workouts. Given that the Texans have nothing at receiver, Dell could contribute early in his career.
- Cedric Tillman, WR, Browns
Cedric Tillman is a big receiver who might be able to emerge as Cleveland’s No. 2 receiver, though passing Donovan Peoples-Jones might be difficult as a rookie.
- Luke Schoonmaker, TE, Cowboys
Luke Schoonmaker won’t face much competition at tight end in Dallas. He’ll have a chance to score a bunch of touchdowns.
- Luke Musgrave, TE, Packers
Luke Musgrave will likely be Green Bay’s starting tight end to begin his career. No Cookie Jordan Love will have to lean on him, given the lack of talent at receiver.
- Michael Mayer, TE, Raiders
Michael Mayer should be the Raiders’ starting tight end from the start, but he’ll competing for targets with lots of other talented receivers.
- Rashee Rice, WR, Chiefs
Anyone playing with Patrick Mahomes has to draw your attention. Then again, the Chiefs haven’t drafted receivers well on Day 2.
- Jayden Reed, WR, Packers
Jayden Reed projects to be Green Bay’s new slot receiver. With Aaron Rodgers gone, this is not very exciting.
- Josh Downs, WR, Colts
Josh Downs should begin his career by starting in the slot for the Colts. Anthony Richardson will certainly target Downs a fair amount, but Richardson’s high tendency to run will stifle Downs’ fantasy production.
- Chase Brown, RB, Bengals
Chase Brown was a fifth-round pick, but he’ll have a chance to start this season. Joe Mixon looked like he was running in quicksand last year.
- Darnell Washington, TE, Steelers
Darnell Washington is an extremely gifted tight end, but several teams flunked him medically, so he could have lots of trouble staying healthy.
- Will Levis, QB, Titans
Will Levis fell to the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, which doesn’t bode well for him.
- Hendon Hooker, QB, Lions
- Roschon Johnson, RB, Bears
- Israel Abinikanda, RB, Jets
- Tank Bigsby, RB, Jaguars
- Deuce Vaughn, RB, Cowboys
- Zach Evans, RB, Rams
- Charlie Jones, WR, Bengals
- Marvin Mims, WR, Broncos
- Justin Shorter, WR, Bills
- Dontayvion Wicks, WR, Packers
- Xavier Hutchinson, WR, Texans
- Eric Gray, RB, Giants
- DeWayne McBride, RB, Vikings
- Stetson Bennett, QB, Rams
- Tucker Kraft, TE, Packers
- Brenton Strange, TE, Jaguars
- Zack Kuntz, TE, Jets
- Michael Wilson, WR, Cardinals
- Derius Davis, WR, Chargers
- Puka Nacua, WR, Rams
- A.T. Perry, WR, Saints
- Elijah Higgins, WR, Dolphins
- Evan Hull, RB, Colts
- Chris Rodriguez, RB, Redskins
- Kenny McIntosh, RB, Seahawks
- Tre Tucker, WR, Raiders
- Tyler Scott, WR, Bears
- Trey Palmer, WR, Buccaneers
- Dorian Thompson-Robinson, QB, Browns
- Jaren Hall, QB, Vikings
- Cameron Latu, TE, 49ers
- Payne Durham, TE, Buccaneers
- Davis Allen, TE, Rams
- Josh Whyle, TE, Titans
- Will Mallory, TE, Colts
- Parker Washington, WR, Jaguars
- Andrei Iosivas, WR, Bengals
- Demario Douglas, WR, Patriots
- Antoine Green, WR, Lions
- Jalen Brooks, WR, Cowboys
- Ronnie Bell, WR, 49ers
- Grant DuBose, WR, Packers
- Colton Dowell, WR, Titans
- Brayden Willis, TE, 49ers
- Jake Haener, QB, Saints
- Aidan O’Connell, QB, Raiders
- Clayton Tune, QB, Cardinals
- Tanner McKee, QB, Eagles
- Max Duggan, QB, Chargers
- Sean Clifford, QB, Packers
