2023 Fantasy Football Rankings – Quarterbacks

Last Updated: September 7

Top 10 | 11-20 | 21-35 |

Other Positions: QB | RB | WR | TE | DraftSharks’ Projections
1. Josh Allen, QB, Bills. Bye: 13.

Josh Allen continued to be one of the premier fantasy quarterbacks. He even logged a career-high rushing total in 2022. Allen should continue to be one of the best fantasy quarterbacks as long as he has his mobility and a plethora of talented receivers at his disposal.

Projected 2023 Fantasy Stats: 4,700 passing yards. 37 passing TDs. 14 INTs. 690 rushing yards. 6 rushing TDs.
Projected 2023 Fantasy Points: 373.

2. Patrick Mahomes, QB, Chiefs. Bye: 10.

People were down on Patrick Mahomes entering the year because of Tyreek Hill’s departure, but he responded with a 5,200-yard season with 41 touchdowns. There’s no reason to think he will slow down anytime soon.

Projected 2023 Fantasy Stats: 4,900 passing yards. 38 passing TDs. 12 INTs. 340 rushing yards. 3 rushing TDs.
Projected 2023 Fantasy Points: 356.

3. Jalen Hurts, QB, Eagles. Bye: 10.

Jalen Hurts had an MVP-type season in 2022, throwing for 3,700 yards, rushing for 760 yards, and scoring 13 touchdowns. One could make the case that Hurts will likely regress to the mean a bit next year, perhaps because he’ll miss more time with injury. However, Hurts often did nothing in the second halves of games last year, so there’s a chance his stats could be better in 2023.

Projected 2023 Fantasy Stats: 3,600 passing yards. 21 passing TDs. 8 INTs. 730 rushing yards. 11 rushing TDs.
Projected 2023 Fantasy Points: 351.

4. Joe Burrow, QB, Bengals. Bye: 7.

Joe Burrow had a rocky start to the 2022 season, but he improved by leaps and bounds as the season progressed because his offensive line was able to gel together. Burrow should have another big 2023 campaign, especially with Orlando Brown signed on to improve his pass protection.

Projected 2023 Fantasy Stats: 4,600 passing yards. 38 passing TDs. 10 INTs. 220 rushing yards. 2 rushing TDs.
Projected 2023 Fantasy Points: 350.

5. Justin Fields, QB, Bears. Bye: 13.

Justin Fields rushed for 1,143 yards and eight touchdowns last year. He’s a fantasy running back who comes with passing points. The only downside is injury risk, but the sky is the limit, especially with D.J. Moore added to the receiving corps.

Projected 2023 Fantasy Stats: 2,600 passing yards. 20 passing TDs. 11 INTs. 990 rushing yards. 7 rushing TDs.
Projected 2023 Fantasy Points: 323.

6. Justin Herbert, QB, Chargers. Bye: 5.

Justin Herbert has thrown for 5,014 and 4,739 yards in each of the past two seasons. His touchdown total took a huge dive from 38 to 25, but that’s likely to revert back to the mean in 2023. It’ll help that the Chargers drafted Quentin Johnston as a hedge for a possibile injury to one of Keenan Allen or Mike Williams.

Projected 2023 Fantasy Stats: 4,900 passing yards. 35 passing TDs. 13 INTs. 200 rushing yards. 2 rushing TDs.
Projected 2023 Fantasy Points: 322.

7. Lamar Jackson, QB, Ravens. Bye: 13.

Lamar Jackson has to be a major injury question mark going forward. He has missed five games in each of the past two seasons. However, the Ravens have improved his receiving corps, signing Odell Beckham Jr. and drafting Zay Flowers in the first round.

Projected 2023 Fantasy Stats: 3,325 passing yards. 21 passing TDs. 10 INTs. 750 rushing yards. 4 rushing TDs.
Projected 2023 Fantasy Points: 321.

8. Trevor Lawrence, QB, Jaguars. Bye: 9.

Trevor Lawrence was a huge disappointment in his rookie year and the beginning of his sophomore campaign, but he caught fire during the 2022 season. He should be even better in his third year with Calvin Ridley being available.

Projected 2023 Fantasy Stats: 4,350 passing yards. 29 passing TDs. 9 INTs. 300 rushing yards. 3 rushing TDs.
Projected 2023 Fantasy Points: 320.

9. Geno Smith, QB, Seahawks. Bye: 5.

It’s still hard to believe that Geno Smith threw for 4,282 yards and 30 touchdowns last year, but he has good protection and a pair of stellar receivers at his disposal, so it’s likely not a fluke. With Jaxon Smith-Njigba on the roster, Smith could be in for an even better season.

Projected 2023 Fantasy Stats: 4,300 passing yards. 28 passing TDs. 13 INTs. 320 rushing yards. 2 rushing TDs.
Projected 2023 Fantasy Points: 312.

10. Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Dolphins. Bye: 10.

Tua Tagovailoa would be an excellent quarterback option, but he can’t stay healthy. He has missed four games in each of the past two years. It’s a shame because he’d have a chance for 5,000 yards with his elite receivers.

Projected 2023 Fantasy Stats: 3,950 passing yards. 27 passing TDs. 10 INTs. 90 rushing yards. 5 rushing TDs.
Projected 2023 Fantasy Points: 310.
